  1. Begs the question of what role had “the big Melbourne club” in all of this if true? Surely any business manager would have sought out approval from the big club to follow a pathway to get X to said big club. Sounds implausible or very naive they would have acted on their own. I wonder what machinations would need to be employed since getting X to move to the “big club” by normal channels would have been very difficult.
  2. Especially when the key family member becomes the product.
  3. Also, highly unlikely a surgeon would give a random friend that kind of information. Completely unprofessional if so.
  4. I don’t believe any other club will take on his current contract as it stands and very few have the capacity to do so. If he insists on joining a premium club he will have to take a financial haircut and shortened contract with lots of fine print added to address his unresolved injury concerns,
  5. He’s too smart to take on the job. Being a professional talking head pays well with no accountability.
  6. Many people have forgotten about the Bulldogs in 2014. The club was going psycho, sacked the coach, senior officials left and an exodus of senior players. Won the flag two years later.
  7. There should be automatic financial penalties for players who wish to break contracts. A portion of their future club contract is returned to their previous club as compensation. They still will be well paid anyway so can’t moan about hardship.
  8. OK, laying down the groundwork for a grievance challenge maybe?
  9. I just wonder whether he had discussions and had some interest shown by his allegedly preferred destination club before he undertook this bizarre pathway.
  10. Posters have been kind of used in the past that what is said on Demonland stays on Demonland. It’s a hot topic and we are being watched from the outside.
  11. Neale was exploring moving back to Perth for family reasons. There is no evidence he had a problem with the Lions or teammates. It was no big deal for him to change his mind which he did quickly after the story broke. Totally different to the Tracc situation.
  12. ouch! Posters just must be more aware.
  13. Campbell Brown was sacked by GC for clocking Steven May in 2013. But that was in the off season.
  14. Well Oliver historically has taken enough votes to perhaps deny Tracc a Brownlow already and the opposite applies as well. I don’t think Oliver’s ego is big enough to care. Oliver has played 6 less games than Tracc but has 18 more career Brownlow votes. 116-98.
  15. Maybe Oliver having two more blueys and pinching Brownlow votes off him frustrates him. There seems to be more substance in his beef with Oliver aside from the alleged lack of professionalism bla bla by Oliver. Could pain Tracc’s ego somewhat.
  16. Colgate consistently rates badly for corporate ethics. Cash Converters exploit the down and out.
  17. As I said a few times in the past. For favoured players and clubs, I suspect errors in wording and structuring of the charge are deliberately introduced so later the charge can be dismissed on a technicality. The ‘wrong hand’ charge I have seen more than several times before.
  18. His ACL derailed his career. Lost his pace and manoeuvrability.
  19. There are other options like brown paper bags, realestate deals, employment and business opportunities for the family etc. Not suggesting it will happen in this case but it has happened in the past frequently.
  20. Collingwood’s and Carlton’s doors are always ajar for these type of considerations. The AFL’s “rules based order” has flexibilities
  21. Looking unlikely we will be able to do a decent trade this season even without the Petracca debacle factored in. As the Tassie Tigers are on the horizon, maybe best to harvest all the presenting premium draft picks and use them.
  22. Ha, A friend divorced his wife and lost similar wealth and money. He was very happy to be rid of her for his “mental health”. From Malvern mansion to South Yarra flat and world travel became his lot. Some people put a dollar value on everything but often wealth becomes a millstone around the neck. I know it can be hard for some to find this comprehensible..
  23. If the future becomes untenable for both parties then it is possible by mutual agreement the contract is voided or highly modified to assist both parties to be rid of each other.
  24. Some WC fans here in Perth I know are not happy the way he is developing. He’s got to cool his head and become more disciplined. Opposition players have worked this out and now give him a hard time.
