  1. Prisencolinensinainciusol by Adriano Celentano. Unpronounceable title, make up your gibberish lyrics and arguably a pre curser of rap music would be a great football song
  2. Also a notorious ear worm. Who remembers the other songs played when other Brisbane players kick goals? I would say Charlie Cameron chose well. Uplifts up the local fans and irritates the opposition fans.
  3. Country Road defeats Collingwood.
  4. Collingwood missing Grundy real bad.
  5. If Collingwood want it, it will happen. Imagine if we asked for it? The response will be go to far Kew.
  6. Just a little more decoration on the cake after we win to see these knobs having to eat some humble pie.
  7. Collingwood ruck crisis and are desperate for a ruckman. Wants rules changed to benefit them. Too bad. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/mcrae-wants-mid-season-trades-as-pies-search-for-answers-to-ruck-crisis-20230403-p5cxos.html
  8. Harry Edwards WC’s 200cm defender slated to be Jeremy McGoverns replacement is in doubt due to injuring his ankle at training. Ruckman Brad Williams and Liam Ryan also in doubt. Injuries over there are in plague proportions.
  9. We were certainly blessed in 2021. We got the long the awaited premiership and JVR with our first round draft pick.
  10. Petty could make a great swingman like Tmac. Looking forward to see more of him up forward.
  11. In the 2021 draft Fremantle recruit key forward Jye Amiss with pick 8. Both local WA boys. We recruit JVR with pick 18. Who would you rather have?
  12. If we didn’t have Petracca or Gawn he would have won a quinella by now and going for the trifecta. Being absolute king of your own dung heap like Cripps, Wines and Neale helps.
  13. Yesterday was the perfect response to our poor effort against Brisbane. Swans fought hard in many parts of the game until they broke even in the third quarter which would have seen us capitulate last season. Great to see exciting new talent like McVee, JVR and Chandler stepping up and older hands who were a little fragile back to good form. Recruiting Grundy is looking like a master stroke. JVR made an impressive debut. Impressively tough, competitive, composed kicking and marking presence for a first game player.
  14. Shuey and McGovern done bad hammies. Will miss next week against us.
  15. Well Grundy is a proven A grade ruckman and does not need to live in the shadow of Max Gawn. Only question is his form and fitness after playing only a couple of games in a year.
  16. Round one appeared too easy, like a carry over from practice match conditions. Round two we looked like we were expecting a repeat. Even before Gawn went down we looked like we weren’t prepared that Brisbane might be switched on. Too many still basking in premiership glory and lack hunger. The lingering perception of last seasons second half malaise has not been extinguished yet. This is like a mini line in the sand game. Lose and we will be just another bottom finals 8 hopeful.
  17. Pavlich, Mundy and Fyfe all superstars at the wrong club at the wrong time. Jackson could end up like them as an all time great Fremantle player but go one better as a one time premiership player.
  18. How long were we in the top four for the last two seasons? In 2021 it was for the whole season. Not sure about last season but we could have been in the four for all if not most of it.
  19. I hope the not so taxing first round win did not get into the players heads. There are a lot of hungry sides yearning for success. We didn’t look like of one of them in Brisbane.
  20. Hawks need a seasoned and experienced coach like Clarkson to take over and arrest the malaise.
  21. Jackson had an easy ride developing in Max Gawn’s slipstream and our powerhouse midfield. Looks like he was expecting the same easy ride at Freo off Darcy and crew. Mundy is now gone and Fyfe is burned out, tall forward woes are desperate and Jackson for the first time as an AFL player is under real pressure to deliver for the club.
  22. And a banged up Fyfe as well who will play as a key forward when he gets on the park.
