  1. No doubt trying to get a GF ticket will cause much gnashing of tooth among pies supporters.
  2. There can be no reason, justification or rationaiisation for supporting Collingwood, wishing them well or, god forbid hoping they win a GF.
  3. I cannot believe that some person/organisation has been paid money to come up with such a bland and souless logo. It does not grab my 50 plus years demon heartstrings. A football- how original. A southern cross- great if we were miners. A trident - relevant if King Neptune is a major sponsor. It's too much - less is always more. Thia is typical agency cr--.
  4. I don't expect much at all because I think we've been kidding ourselves about our ability this season. There is one thing I would like to see though- Jack Watts remaining vertical.
  5. Great post "Jack". I would also like to know why we go sideways or short so often when a kick on goal is on.
  6. While you're talking to him see if he's available to play CHF next week.
  7. I am trying to forget yesterday's nightmare!
  8. Gysberts was outstanding. Very cool and composed. At times he looked like a veteran. A bright spot in a very ordinary day
  9. I agree with your comment but WHY do we have to put up with it?
  10. The problem with finals in the foreseeable future is that we have no forwards. Yes Brad Green is a Trojan and maybe Jurrah will become what we all hope. Today Watts looked looked Newton on a bad day and worried me. Pettard?
  11. Well if I go next week I'll be crying amoung my own kind rather than listening to loud mouth poohs supporters
  12. We were pathetic. Improvement? Potential? Skills ? Desparation?? Playing in front???? Finals????? Finals in foreseeable future????????? I'm going away for the long weekend.
  13. Who cares about Riewoldt/Richmond. I hate Richmond, hope they dont win again- ever.
  14. When playing teams with a large membership (like Carlton) I prefer the Ponsford stand
  15. Given the development of these 2 sides I think this is a season defining (must win) game for Melbourne. Also given the nature of the sides Jamar's game will be critical- first use fast movement forward
  16. That is a very insulting comment -- If you happen to be a feral cat.
  17. A few years of consistent success and guys like Scully, Jurrah etc becoming "superstars" will boost memberships better than anything.
  18. Well that has cleared things up for me. At the time my wife and I looked at each other and thought "Nah must have misunderstood". He dropped it for sure - will probably have to apologise
  19. I've been following the Demons for over 50 years and apart from Neil Crompton and watching the brilliance of Number 2 during our ritual floggings in the 70's and 80's there have been few moments of pure joy. Things have finally changed- Scully Trengrove Grimes Mc Kenzie Jurrah etc have kickstarted my ticker. I actually believe a flag is on the horizon
  20. Probably no change. I would like Bail back in and I'm not convinced about Rivers. Given the conditions I reckon Hughes showed some promise.
  21. We sure need forwards. Let's hope Hughes shows something and JW hits his straps. IMO there is not much available at the moment.
