  1. He certainly is slick at avoiding front on confrontation.
  2. Thanks for that. Now I can see our ineptitude in a whole new light.
  3. Let's take it one game at a time. That may avoid mass suicides. So now we are going down the new game plan will take some time to get used to. Jesus how many excuses can we cook up?
  4. What a fantastic question! Maybe I'm dumb but I couldn't see any plan whatsoever.
  5. Just home after trying to use heavy doses of alcohol to numb what I saw today. We were [censored] weak. I could have almost copped this result against Hawthorn or the filth. But Brisbane? Once again Melbourne is all [censored] and wind. We had nothing today. Most of those blokes are getting paid very serious dollars which our memberships contribute to. Accountability? Shameful.
  6. Add Crosswell. Some exciting games.. But for absolute thuggery Big Carl was the man. Many years after he played for Melbourne I worked with him and took the opportunity to ask him about some " moments " during his footy career at Melb. He had forgotten many of them until reminded. I guess when you flatten that many blokes it all becomes a daze.
  7. The way Melbourne dealt with him was shameful. I hope he has a stellar season.
  8. No I meant bottom eight. And, as to being true to my name - it's a ying and yang thing. At the moment "optimistic is not in the ascendant.
  9. How many others here remember "Captain Blood"? He was a classic. And, although he's not a caller, Mark Robinson = serious [censored].
  10. Real Estate? Well maybe. I picture Scully more as the stereotypical used car salesman. Flashy jacket, loud tie and talking BS out of the side of his mouth. And if I was playing golf with him , I'd be counting his strokes.
  11. Top gun between Watts and Trengove. Roughies Tapscott and Gawn.
  12. The only problem with the above is that Stef will never make a CHF.
  13. Well at this point my OPTIMISTIC self is running riot and I've purchased tickets to Darwin. However, if yet another season turns to shite then my BITTER self may just lock in permanently and I will need suicide watch.
  14. Is Watts the current whipping boy for this site? I don't understand it. He played much improved footy last year and began to show his talent. At training yesterday he looked fit, developing more muscle and was as enthusiastic a contributor as anyone. He took a very strong mark and showed his athleticism. I heard one of the coaches say "demand the ball Jack" which suggested to me he is expected to play a leading role up forward. I was also impressed with Petterd's work and Bate looks ready to step up. Dunn seemed a bit off the pace to me.
  15. Agree. Spencer is another who gets unreasonable stick on this site. He is still a raw kid who was starting to show a bit when he was injured. Let him get fit and show what he's got.
  16. Have to go to Dandy on Wednesday. Is there training at Casey? Club site is not up to date.
  17. Last year a young lad I teach told me about his football team- as follows. "The ruckman taps it to me. I kick it to the full forward. He kicks a goal" Simple really.
  18. Jurrah's The Man. I would love to see him play all games and kick 60++ !
  19. I just nearly busted a gut. Do you know who said this?
  20. He knows nothing; and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career. GB Shaw.
