I'm thinking we need at least two more rebuilds. 2029 seems a possibility.

When does Watts return forward?
Bitter but optimistic replied to Dee man's topic in Melbourne Demons
One of things that has frustrated me over recent years, and no doubt many others, has been the way the consistent butchering of the ball out of defence. It made us a laughing stock. In recent weeks, Watts' disposal has eliminated this to a large extent. We look a much better side with his pin point accuracy. I don't believe we can afford to risk this just yet. -

Thought Magner did a bit - but far from outstanding. -
Can any more buckets of [censored] be dropped on us this year?

I didn't realise we had mindreaders on this site. Post some lotto numbers would you.

Yes everyone made a contribution although I thought Moloney was poor against a team which he should have monstered. We need Moloney firing but I wonder how much this free agency business is on his mind. Cannot afford to lose Clarke. I would stick with the same team.

"Tony Jones, Bridge Declous and that Lehmo [censored]" You got it right deefella. But who cares about the opinions of those lightweights?

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Good. Tom McDonald today looked like he will make a very good player. Watts was my highlight. He has so much poise and class. We are starting to see the champ he will be. -
He walked off OK. I'd be more worried about possible concusssion than a foot injury.

Just heading off. Lunch with mates first. This a very important game for us. Melbourne has shown some recent turnaround in form, especially against Essendon and the filth. After a break to freshen up and reset we must continue this momentum. Anything less than a convincing win against these losers is not acceptable and would set us back.

The fulltime/halftime double is still paying $1.48 on sportsbet.
-
Not only have we picked up a quality player - we have picked up a quality bloke.
-
The disappointing aspect is that Davey has earned this criticism over the last couple of years.

Agree entirely. I have made similar comments in other threads. If he can be a major sports journalist it tells us something about "The Sin". And yes, the way he warbles on. I can no longer bear to watch AFL 360.;

We have to win and win well simply for our credibility as an AFL club. BTW Melbourne for the halftime / fulltime double is not a bad bet at aroung $1.50.

Then we are in trouble. ( worse trouble)

THe problem is that he may well put in a good one against weak/inexperienced opposition and then fail us again when the pressure is really one. I reckon he is done at MFC.

Not sure who said this but it seems apt. "Destroy his fib or sophistry- in vain The creature's at his dirty work again"
