Biffen will no doubt correct me if my usage is incorrect but I do not think that "stuffed" is le mot juste . There is a far more accurate (albeit vulgar) substitute that springs to my mind.

Post Match Masochism - Round 21
Bitter but optimistic replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes anus and ... I think it was early in the third quarter that he went very soft at a contest. -
You're onto it Moon. Now you are getting far too philosophical Pickett. Time to stop or Gnasher will be banning me for derailing threads. Although, judging by his comments on another thread, it is possible he has slashed his wrists.
-
Yes, but imagine if you were filthy rich Pickett and your footy team was successful.
-
What on earth has that got to do with anything? One cannot choose family. Social class however, has to do manipulation, deceit and backstabbing.
-
It's preferable to be rich!

Good of you to break from your busy schedule Earl and give us the benefit of your wisdom. BTW, it may be of interest to you, I spent some time among the "poor people" today.

It's the players, not the coach(es)!
Bitter but optimistic replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
We have changed a sh itload of players over that time Song. So it is not just them. There is some sort of malaise at this club. We lack a culture. A soul. TBH, I reckon we are about fu cked. We have tried everything and remain at the bottom of the mullock heap. -

Footscray v Casey Scorpions (Jesse Hogan returns)
Bitter but optimistic replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just back from the game. An interesting experience. Went to see Hogan of course but the doggies kicked with the wind so Hoges only caught a chill in the first quarter. In fact as well as a wind advantage you also got the slope advantage - the ground falls as much as Lords Cricket Ground it seems. At times, every player was inside the fifty at that end. Hogan showed his skills in the second quarter. He took a contested mark, led and marked and used his strength to win a contested ball. He kicked a goal and was generally in the play.In the third quarter he spent about 12 minutes on the bench but might as well of stayed on it as Casey only had one inside 50. He was a bit frustrated in the final quarter as the ball was bombed to him and gave him little chance under those conditions. The second quarter showed his class but he is still short of being AFL ready IMO. In any event I could see no purpose in taking a risk this season. Pedo played a bloody top game. Battled against big Cordy and busted his gut around the ground. Jordie McKenzie snapped a magnificent goal (believe it or not). Blease took the field on a couple of times and though he got caught Casey missed his pace when he stayed off after half time. JKH did a bit and Toump popped up a couple times but they were not stand outs. We were generally outclassed and deja vu there were some shocking turnovers. Pies were good but as I took the Merc, I kept off the grog. Will remedy that now, while watching the dees. -

Sorry Biff, but I couldn't find him, there were dozens of people, men and women, looking like that. -
Jesse Hogan ~ new 2 year deal
Bitter but optimistic replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes, there is still some friction over that matter dc. However, I am now retiring for the night in order to make an early start for Crazyburn tomorrow. (And to allow at least two breakfast stops on the way) -
I think you protest too much Moonie!!

Wise words from the aristocracy. Thank you Earl. -
I realize I am stealing Stuie's line, but this has to be the most ridiculous thread ever on Demonland. Why didn't I think of it ? Now close it down Gnasher!
-
Well you smartarses, now that I've discovered the game begins at 11.00 am - I may not be able to comment on Jesse's excellence. What is the logic behind the timing? Please .. I need to know this.
