Taggert was being talked up last yr by mfc coaches as one to watch, have some balls Melbourne and [censored] off some of our list cloggers and give kids like Taggert, Tynan a chance to develop properly in the Vfl seniors.

Off topic: spoke to a current Melbourne players dad during the week, he mentioned that after the game when it was open forum amongst the playing group that a few of the players told Sylvia that some of his efforts were not acceptable, he took it badly and went nuts!

Gillies, Nico & McKenzie not up to Afl standard and would not get a game at any other club. Dunn, Byrnes, Sellar Pederson not much better. Loves McKenzies endeavour but just to slow, poor disposal and poor decision maker.

Sad times, my 7yr old has been a member all his life and is a footy fanatic, yesterday he wanted to go home at 3/4 time as he said it was boring because we weren't kicking any goals. Members have had enough and will start jumping ship. We are going backwards. Where is the glimmer of hope / improvement that we are all craving so badly???

Frawley has forgotten how to defend and seems to have lost his closing speed, to busy trying to get a cheap kick out the back. His decision making is ordinairy also. Maybe a confidence thing but he needs to lift and set an example on field.

Moloney was named in Brisbanes best players. Don't know why he would be getting knocked? He tried hard all day & IMO will have a good year. No story here ...

Interesting that a lot of so called 'experts' are jumping on Port Adel to beat us on Sunday. It will be a disappointing loss if they are correct. We have a decent side in and should put in a good showing. Would have liked to see Tom McDonald play but I'm presuming he is still not 100% Good luck to Matt Jones on Sunday, know him well and he is a great bloke!

Just got back also. I thought Sellar was good again, at this stage would have to be in front of Pedo for the 3rd tall forward / back up ruck position. NJones, Magner & Grimes all tried hard, Sylvia to. Dunn was probably our best back. M.Jones is still trying to comes to terms with the pace of AFL but I think after a few more games will adjust and may become a handy player, same with Terlich. Tippy did some nice things also. We need to improve our pressure as last two weeks were good but dropped off today hence the poor tackle count.

Spoke to him today, was a great young man. He said that he is injury free and hoping to get a game next week. Hasn't ruled himself out for rd1 but said it will be tough. Also said there is much bigger competition for spots this yr and expect to see some improvement this yr.

We are currently not an attractive option for any potential sponsor. When we start winning games and get a better commercially acceptable fixture ie: Friday night games sponsors will be more forth coming. Full stop!!!

Haven't we got one of the biggest network of businessmen of all Afl clubs??? Surely something could eventuate from that or are they sick of putting their hand in the pocket. C.Schwab may have to ring Eddie, get him to drum up some more sponsors for us. Again.....

Why are there so many whingers on this forum??? The commentators are giving Melbourne a wrap saying that we are moving the ball well and putting on good pressure. It's just that they don't know our players names. Let up on the complaining for a change ! Turn off if you don't like it! Or even better some of the people that are on this forum could actually say something positive.

Great thread. All seem to be great young men with outstanding talent. Like Tynan & Taggert also. From experience Magner has excellent character also.

Dom Tyson for Gws has or about to sign a new contract. We need mids, mids and more mids. Maybe classy back flanker also.
