Grimes is Great

As far as I'm concerned the buck stops with him, he has a say in hiring coaches, recruitment managers, all office staff. He is doing an ok job but as the afl says: Once you get the off field stuff right the on field performance will follow. It has nothing to do with him kicking 10 goals as you suggest. He ultimately is responsible for everything at the club. All the BS that has engulfed the club over the last 5 years will be forgotten once the team actually starts winning games of football and he may reap some praise but until then.... You may not like it Moonshadow but those are my thoughts.

People are entitled to their opinion on Schwab. When and if we get back on track on field then he may start to receive praise on these boards. Until then.....

Would love to know if any one has been in touch with Liam Jurrah, so we can get a better understanding of what he is going through. Surely Davey would still keep in touch with him?????

Get over it!

Was disenchanted at not getting a game, wanted a fresh start. Thought he was playing good footy at Casey with no reward in the senior team. Also said Moloney should have been captain and that Grimes & Trenners were too young. Obviously didn't buy in.... Not a bad kid, very shy and socialized with mates from outside the club. IMO won't make it, mentally weak.

I know Gys personally. Likes getting on the sauce a bit on weekends.... Not that it is a crime, but if your trying to make it at AFL level..........

Anyone know how J.Tynan is traveling? I'm really interested to see if the likes of Tynan, Strauss, Tappy & Taggert can step up this year and help our team improve.

Melbourne are the laughing stick of the Competition. Nothing will change until things improve on and off the ground. It is great seeing all the positive training posts on here but realistically it happens every yr. Fingers crossed for a much improved performance in 2013.

Dayle Garlett overlooked. Potential top 20 draftee. Bad behavior off field has prevented him from being selected

Rebounding defender

I played 5 yrs with him at Sth Croydon, good young fella who is a smooth mover with tidy skills. Needs to work on endurance but worth a crack. Will play half forward / wing. Good kid with a smart head on his shoulders, from a great family. Wish him all the best. I actually mentioned him a few times on Demonland as a player we have been looking at all yr.

Surprised Davis has held his spot on the list would have been better IMO to free that spot up and bring in another mid through the draft.

IMO - Schwab & Connoly both need to go. All our old dirty laundry will keep being brought up by the media until there is a change. They may have done some good things over the years but enough is enough. This club needs to return to the top and I don't think that these two will be able to help guide us there.

Ben Hur: I asked the person their thoughts and the response was their opinion. What they have heard from within an AFL club. Never said it was fact, just sharing thoughts of someone that works at the inner sanctum at a club. People can make of it what they want, not big noting just stating an opinion. Cheers.
