    Spoke to a current MFC player last night. No real big news but said Shuey is the player they are trying to attract to the MFC. Also said Hogan is an absolute freak but there is already fears of a go home factor. Club has just offered him a 2 yr deal, his contract runs out end of 2014 so would keep him at club for another 3 yrs.

    Without a job I guess. Has there been any kind of official announcement from Melbourne that he won't be with us next yr??? I know Paul Roos mentioned it OTC but there hasn't been anything official yet. Maybe he stays???

    Don't believe it people. Sell wood going nowhere. Word out of West Coast from Tim Gossage on Sen is that he may be made captain and staying put. Those Footy Trade Facebook pages are generally made up by kids.

    Watts can be the qtr back, a bit of guidance & confidence and he can improve out of sight, will never be tough like Hodge but can definately be elite off half back. Grimes is an option also, put him at half back & leave him there.

    Not unrealistic, some smart trading + receiving a priority pick our team could quite easily resemble something like this. Swap Kent & Watts around and the team looks even better.

    Magner, Nicho & Jetta may still be cut. Will probably be given a chance over the Pre season with possibility of still being delisted.

    Agree totally, Voss has 5 yrs coaching experience. 2-3 yrs under Roos would be great for him. 3 time premiership captain. Would be a great fit IMO.

    Just got home from B&F, spoke to admin staff, no idea about what is happening with Roos. Spoke to player parents, players feel confident Roos is coming aboard.

    We need to recruit true midfielders instead of flankers / wingers. Problem has been in the past recruiting to many of these types such as: Morton, Bennel, Jetta, Bail, Nicholson Mids we did recruit have gone: Scully, Gysberts, McLean, Moloney, S.Thompson. Lets concentrate on pure mids this yr such as Aish, Freeman etc.. Good teams recruit mids till they have so many that they fill up flanks as well.

    Russ Howcroft said in Hassatt room on Sunday that new coach will be announced in late September, also said Roos told MFC exactly what he has been telling media, "no at the moment". Didn't know if MFC had spoken to Ling.
