I swear some people just say things to conform. Newton has done more than Jurrah, Davey, Macdonald etc. Certainly had 3 times the output of Kosi.. At least he actually chases.. more than Davey can say.

Premiership Quarter enough said. We've played one all year. This needs to be our second.
-
Jack Trengove for mine has shown more than many. I'd be all for voting for a young captain, we're a youngish team and I think he far supersedes Davey, Scully, Rivers and Jones in terms of Leadership qualities. NB. Obviously i cannot see the work they do within the club but that would be my vote.

The trouble is currently Moloney is the heart and soul of our club. He looks to be trying his ass off every week, and when the good players around him cop a good tag he puts up his hand and has 35 possession games to cover their loss. Sadly, when he cops a good tag like on Saturday no-one is willing to stand up and cover his loss. Davey and Green aren't one effort players they're one direction players. When the ball goes forward they sprint but defensive running doesn't exist. Grrr this gets frustrating.

Thank god scarlett doesn't care anymore. Back on the winners list

WJ- Who would be not your best 4 today but the 4 you would potentially see filling voids next week for the 1's..
-
I think we sound desperate too. I dont know it just doesn't give me a good vibe for some reason
-
How ironic. Melbourne play a fantastic Q1 and shocking rest. Sounds as if Casey have had a shocking 1st and incredible last 3. Ahhh
-
Strauss KC- any chance for next week?
-
Pot calling the kettle black! Jones was more effective than Tapscott. His worst game for Melbourne today. Hardly got it and when he did couldnt hit the side of a barn.. Bennell would be in my votes first.
-
If i was Scully I'd leave. At the moment we are playing like GWS with half the payroll
-
Strauss, MacDonald will both play.

We do bat alot deeper but we are missing 5 of our best 22 (Jamar, Grimes, Trengove, Scully, McKenzie) and we have have 5 of our next best 10 out of form (Green, Davey, Frawley, Jurrah and Morton) are disgustingly out of form. In a team of 22 if half are out or poor, you're simply not going to win games regardless of depth. Australian cricket team anyone?

Im not biting your head off, perfect post.
-
And at half forward. I've always been advocating this!!! please play well!!
-
Haha i'm not having a go at you, but have a look at the pathetic crowd thread and if mother's day wasn't a fair excuse i'm not sure living interstate is either!! On a proper note though, I hope you enjoy it QB is fantastic and i'm there every year. We lifted last year, I'd love that same effort this time around!

I'm actually surprised some on here aren't getting angry at you mousey for not coming to more games..
-
I'm optimistically hoping Friday morning after JT get's off the article is swapped to "Melbourne send AFL please explain: Melbourne President Jim Stynes this morning sent Vlad a please explain today discussing why 3 days of his life were wasted on the worst tribunal decision in the modern era". Somehow can't see it happening..

Expensive if you lose. If you win you don't pay from what I remember reading a few times.
-
He won't play so let's not get our hopes up. we get 4 weeks out of a mixture of Newton, Dunn, Martin and Campbell and he'll be 100% than I'll be happy. He's our future dont play him unfit when we're fighting for 10th spot this year
-
How is it a LOL? Ever since he got Green vested he's played probably 2 of his best 4 games for the club in consecutive weeks.

What I want to see from the powers at the MFC
Arrow replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hardly, for the previous 150 years of Australian Rules Football this has not been a 'reportable offence'. The AFL/Tribunal has in a sense stated they are drawing a line in the sand so to speak with this case and beginning this new law as of this suspension. With Melbourne unable to know that, and with so many cases like this being thrown out before it, it would have been stupid to go in with anything too fancy when a basic argument should have won the case. -
Having lunch with the woman who gave me my life? Get off the grass seriously some people are so full of it.

Unsure if any D'landers went to the game at Etihad last year but I was at the worst ground in Australia for it, my public ticket getting me a lovely spot in level 3 about 25 rows back for 35$ however, the bigger problem that day was us! We got torn a new one by a midfield of Swallow and Harvey, Sam Wright played well for them off the top of my head and we were killed down forward by their backline consisting of McMahon and Firrito. It was one of the worst games I've ever watched us play, and even worse I hate Brad Scott so much. If he mentions North Melbourne are better than us once more i'll lose it.

The general comment was not meant to be a personal attack so I apologise if any offence was taken but simply, it was an attempt at reasoning with some to calm down. At one point in this thread, someone mentioned a 12 month ban for TDW for talking rubbish which in turn ended in being good information. Craig Hutchinson makes Australia-wide statements without noting his sources, I personally cannot fathom how so many people were throwing rocks because he couldn't name his source. For all people I or anyone knows TDW could be Jim Stynes. Demonland is not bigfooty, posters know if they post cr*p they will be out, but if this individual (or any other) has an inside source within the club and is able to give me information regarding Melbourne before the media can find out, I can't realise why some are so negative and rude to the idea.... Are you jealous TU? On to the more important issue of the footy, I am also of the opinion that this shocking loss could be a long term plus for the club. - Kids will be developed. I cannot see one player taking Grimes' spot for the year like Tapscott has managed to do with Bruce's but that to me means Strauss, Blease, Nicholson and potentially Evans will all run through that spot. Huge + - If all goes to plan, and these kids play well it also forces Grimes to scrub up on some of his ineffective areas of his game. Regardless of slightly questionable kicking and decision making at times, I would never drop Grimes however, great play by these kids will make Grimes want to get these areas better. Another + for the club. - We win games this year without Grimes, we'll win more next year with him.
