  1. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/tabid/8667/contentid/358753/default.aspx if you watch this for mine there are 2 obvious players who should come in..
  2. Carlton at the line last week was the easiest 1.91 ever given by the TAB. Easy pickings
  3. Apolgise for what? He was playing when injured, you dont get leverage for poor performances because you're sore. Even more so, as a leader him playing through this injury has set his team back a 1-2 week injury is now a 5-6 weeker so no apologies required for mine.
  4. You may be right the more i think about it now the more Scully did impress me. Just can't help but think one more week in the 2's for me in an unwinnable game isn't a bad idea. But if he does get elevated i certainly won't be raising hell! Miracle you're assessment of Wonna is what really makes me happy. I cannot understand why he is getting talked up. He did one good move all day baulking two people and laying off a handball but other than that he was poor! Too slow and didn't make half of an effort. It wasn't until the third quarter until i realised he was even on the ground!
  5. P.s this is purely me however I would be mindful reading reports on scully good but in my opinion far from lighting the house on fire and didn't look up to last year. Only played 2 1/2 quarters also those who are placing him in the best are placing him purely on name
  6. Interesting to see people's comments and whether they were at the game or just posting others thoughts. Gawn today was excellent. I've never been a huge admirer and his foot skills are skills so-so but his overhead and stamina are exceptional. Howe was great with limited opportunities for mine but the one that throws me is Blease. Granted he's been injured but the kid runs circles and than misses targets. When he takes on an opponent he runs into trouble than dishes off thus killing the next bloke. I personally just can't see the hype. McDonald turns the ball over way way too much. Strauss' kicking was exceptional and his hardness was improved. Sadly a few melbourne boys suffer by dropping off their opponent to help a teammate but noone is left to cover theirs. Common for Vfl I'm sure. My potential ins would be gawn, Strauss, and Howe!
  7. No youre right watched the game on reply this morning and it was nothing other than lazy by Chip but again whipping boy Newton cops the abuse for it. That said he put in tonight when 10 others didnt so don't blame him for being lazy.
  8. Yes furious D i typed in Avalon Airport couldn't find the oval anywhere. It's previously known as Chirnside Park right on the river!
  9. Hahahhaha. Look at the two teams. Look at them on paper. We are a 10 goal worse team. He coached to win the game. Had we played up the corridor we would have lost by 100. Dean's struggling but he'll be fine. The players also need to play for him. If i remember John Worsfold was the coach most under pressure 12 weeks ago. Now he's controlling when he wants to renew his contract...
  10. Well i expect Scully to come in for someone.. Trengove will come in I still think Strauss is better than Nicholson and Bennell so he'll come in with an extra game of match fitness. Be really good game to be at tomorrow and i'm looking forward to it. Petrol tank not so much
  11. Peoples thoughts on bests and worsts at present?
  12. A fringe team will never succeed when: Bate, Petterd, Maric, Jetta, Bennell, Morton, Jones and MacDonald all have 2 touches or less in the first quarter. I find it disgraceful that the ones fighting for positions are the ones who refuse to put in the hard efforts.
  13. Yep Huddo said he spoke to the man himself and he said he'll play. Sorry guys i was excited too!
  14. Just listening to SEN and they mentioned a caller who had ties to Carlton was adamant that Chris Judd would be rested tonight and Ryan Houlihan would be brought in to the Carlton team. No certainty, but would help our cause!
  15. you'll have to pay but it's often cheaper when you present your membership card.. $5?
  16. Does it matter? Any loss under 60 i'll be happy.
  17. He's caught the opposition Holding the Ball more times this year than Davey has. He may not be good enough, but that point alone shows there's another Melbourne that shouldn't be wearing the jumper at the moment.
  18. Funny I disagree on almost all of these, Frawley is light years ahead of Tarrant. Tarrant is a donkey and next to no presence in attack. Garland is a better player than Reid, Reid is generally poor in one on one situations choosing too regularly to mark instead of punching (see: Jared Rivers). However, Brown would come in for Reid and he flogged Riewoldt consecutively on the biggest stage therefore far exceeds Garlands resume. Maxwell is an All Australian. Be it as a loose man he reads it better than Jared and does not have lapses or skill errors like his counterpart. P.s Maxwell punches. Toovey has become more consistent than Bartram but you are right both should never be premiership players O'Brien is light years ahead of Tappy. Tappy has no defensive presence what so ever and is being played substantially out of position. Shaw and Grimes i'll call a draw only because I think Grimes potential is so high. I think there I am being generous. We are so so far behind it's scary. 2 years and I'm hoping Strauss' will turn into Shaws and Tapscotts will turn into Maxwells (+ more). But, still long way to go.
  19. The closest we will get to winning is Essendon, but only because they have the most injuries out of the other two. These three teams are so far in front of us it scares me
  20. HAHAHA. cant beat North Melbourne or St Kilda, so none.
  21. High Tower, Rockliff getting subbed hurt me, but than Brown turning it on hurt me even more! Could go either way I think but you're certainly holding the upper hand..
  22. Think you were drunker than you realised.
  23. Goddard is a complete player, Davey has one attribute of kicking and some elusiveness. If the club have any cohuna's they'll be sending him to the scorps and i'd certainly advocate it. They mentioned on the radio Bartram might be out for 3 weeks. Was there a report or anything of that nature? I didn't watch only radio'ed so i could be wrong but that's what I heard. Tapscott (3-5) -> Strauss Bartram (if reported) -> Blease Davey -> Howe P.s anybody put your hand up at Casey because we have 5 or 6 players who don't give care. I'd prefer a trying Isaac Weetra to an insipid class player. The club need to make a stand. I don't expect us to win the next 4 games and i'd be happy if we got within 5 goals of any of them. But show me some heart please please MFC
  24. I know stats are never a true indicator of a game however just brushing over some supercoach totals today suggests to me that our efficiency was very poor. For any of you that play the game would know supercoach is set up so that the key is hitting targets and basically a possession without efficiency gets you zero points. Today, it took until the 11th player (Matthew Warnock) to find someone with a SC score higher than that of their DT score (a general indicator of how efficient one has been). The saints all 7 of their top scorers had greater SC than DT. I know stats and more specifically fantasy stats mean very little but without seeing the full stats of efficiency these ones tend to be a scary realisation. We put ourselves in far too many high pressure situations for ourselves and our mates, and miss simple kicking and handballing targets. We get angry, but you are not going to win a game of footy turning the ball over as much as we did. Michael Evans can be excused but our leaders lead only through voice, because on field actions particularly the last 2 weeks have been poor.
  25. I agree but he also has gotten 2 HTB for, which one created a goal.. ahh well. Your points are valid, I just think we always have our whipping boys. On a side note, with Tapscott and now Bartram out.. Strauss and Blease to come in for debut IMO
