Sellar has been very reliable in defence and Morton, despite one mistake has been getting involved...take off the blinkers for Christ sake! And I would have thought the use of the words "silence is deafening" might have given away hat I was suggesting the opposite to shutting up.
-
Excuse me? I was telling people to shut up? Hmmm.
-
The silence surrounding Sellar's improved showing is almost deafening; not to mention that of Morton.
-
No idea I'm afraid... I just got those stats off twitter.
-
A 115 point loss to Hawthorn will be placing Scott squarely in the spotlight and hopefully taking some heat off us. And Buddy put on a stunning show with 13 goals 4 points... the last two of which were amazing shots.
-
Sheehan did well stats wise...this from Twitter: Major stats- Sheahan 29,Davey 23, Panozza 22, L.Tynan 21, Bate 21. Multiple goal kickers, Cook 3, Panozza 2, Bate 2 and Lawrence 2

I think rpfc's getting in their farces.

I like Huddo... but I can't quite shake the feeling that I'm listening to a work experience kid when he's on (which I find quite refreshing - he always seems in awe of those around him) :-)
-
This is why we need to make a massive play for the likes of Cloke and Boak (should this couplet be shortened to Bloke?); to give the kids a sense of excitement about where this club is heading and some sort of future success to look forward to.
-
I hope we show a lot of improvement too... but seriously, do you think we have earned any respect this year? The fact that they haven't beaten us since '09 being deserving of respect is null and void given this year's dismal outings.
-
Yes, but by going public, they are putting him in the firing line... and themselves to an extent, because if he doesn't give them a definitive answer, then they will have to be seen to take some sort of action.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Neeld & Co have sat down with Col and suggested that he is on his last chance - if he doesn't lift his game and perform this week, he will find himself back at Casey for an extended stay and possibly headed for the trade table at season's end.
-
Well, they probably haven't thought it through that far yet, but are using it as a tacet threat of action by going public with that statement. At least they are attempting to put themselves on the front foot, unlike us when Scully was holding out.
-
You're not wrong WYL. When I was living there in 74/75, there was a friendly between England and Scotland at Wembley Stadium (think it was) and they were so concerned about what the Scots would get up to if they lost (or for that matter, won) they shut down the Circle Line for the day. People were actually afraid to go out on the town for fear of marauding drunken Scots following the game (which iirc, they lost).
-
Apparently Primus has given Boak 3 weeks to give the club an answer with regards to his intentions.
-
Obviously times have changed... thankfully (it may be an urban myth, but I seem to recall reading on a number of occasions in the local London press, of sharpened pennies being found embedded in bobbies' helmets at Highbury Park).

Now I see the problem...Mono is part of our coaching staff posting on here incognito!! - the jig's up mono :-)
-
Perhaps the Dees have an injury concern (Green?) and he is expected to be brought in off the emergency list?
-
I reckon that Neeld has been using the first half of the season to work out who is putting in and who isn't, and that you will see Couch brought into the team for the second half of the season; wouldn't be surprised to see Cook given a run as well... in fact, I think we will see both Couch and Cook come in for games against GWS and GCS.
-
Well, we missed him and there is no point in dwelling on it. At least they learned their lesson and went hard at Clark and got their man. I expect that following the supporter meeting and the comments regarding their looking for a big forward, they will be doing the same this year with Cloke.
-
jimcor... I hadn't realised Hodge had jumped ship to be with us... can I assume you meant Howe? ;-)
-
Don't kid yourself... the way we are traveling at the moment, anyone can look good playing against us.
-
Firstly, thanks for vindicating my original post simma. Every club no doubt has players that are at odds with their coach as that no doubt comes with the territory as far as being dropped for not performing or for breaking the leadership group's self imposed rules etc goes. However, not every team is coming from ground zero with an almost entirely new coaching group, new game plan (did we even have one before) and more distractions than anyone could imagine (even other coaches and media pundits have been saying Neeld has had the initiation from hell). Perhaps we are performing poorly simply because we aren't good enough yet.

Jared Rivers kills off rumours about rift between players and Neeld: http://www.afl.com.a...36/default.aspx I now await the multitude of posts claiming that Jared is simply toeing the company line.

Be thankful you aren't a Doggies supporter :-)
