  1. Tom Tom the pie-man's son, Took the cash and away he run!
  2. I'm not keeping any score at all... it was a generalisation and I'm not really interested in providing any figures to back it up - in case you hadn't noticed, this is an internet forum, not a court of law. Just read the thread and you will see enough comments feeling the love for Tapscott's actions.
  3. Take all of the umbrage you want (it's a job lot) but I stand by what I said (note the bolded part): "going on about how great it is to see opposition players getting injured".
  4. Nice to see Williams getting a couple and being listed in the best for Casey in the Development League.
  5. Not beyond the realms of possibility, but they will need to start going into games attacking the ball from the opening bounce. Those starts against the Swans and Collingwood were unforgivable.
  6. Well, that's how you see it... I saw it as a very late and very crude tackle.
  7. Bet you're a big fan of the John Kreese character in the original Karate Kid.
  8. It was a late tackle with a strike using the forearm to Fasolo's back, although after watching the replay several times I still consider it to be the kidney region despite Belzebub59's protestations :-) A forearm to the head or neck I assume would be considered striking, so I suppose that is just as appropriate when it is used in the way Tapscott applied it to Fasolo's back.
  9. Toughness, hardness, whatever you want to call it is fine... but when a player commits a late tackle that is seriously dangerous and could result in a major injury, then that is where I draw the line. Yes players break legs, break noses, break collarbones etc, but for the most part, those are injuries that happen in the course of hard play and are not the result of reckless play. I love Tapscott's hardness at the ball and at the player, but he needs to know when it is appropriate and when it is not. There is absolutely nothing soft about having this opinion... what I find soft are all of these keyboard warriors puffing out and beating their chests Tarzan style and going on about how great it is to see opposition players getting injured... it's all so easy when you aren't on the receiving end yourself.
  10. Offered a one match ban - for striking Fasolo.
  11. I think the bolded text in the comment you were responding to might give you the answer:
  12. In case none of you noticed, there was a game going on and Neeld would have had more on his plate to be concerned with than worrying about whether or not Morton stopped, looked him in the eye, and took it like a "man". He gave Morton the serve he deserved, Morton heard it, took note of it, felt the sting of it, and then they both moved on. This bit is not directed at you Longsuffering, but there are far too many vindictive, nasty, so called "supporters" in these threads... how about casting the blame at the coaches/selectors as Morton et al are doing their best (which is NOT as bad as many here seem to think) under a LOT of pressure; they do not pick themselves. These players are out there doing it as best they can and yet some here (who have probably done nothing much at all in a footballing sense) consider they are not respecting the jumper or the club???
  13. Sick of these "cannibalistic" threads.
  14. I get the feeling Neeld probably just told him to "just get out of my sight!"... and he obliged post haste.
  15. Fine... but I don't want to hear a peep out of you when one of our players gets wiped out by a similarly "passionate" piece of play from an opponent.
  16. Oh God... I saw Watts and Sylvia smile as they shook hands with their opponents... should I start a new thread?
  17. It's almost like he wants a holiday.
  18. 11:39 to play and 25 points... hmmm
  19. gettable margin just became a forgettable margin.
  20. If Dunn can have a similar impact to that he had last week, we are not without a chance in this game.
  21. That was the killer... it took us one and a half quarters to realise we were at the MCG.
  22. Neither... it's the "I'm glad there's no Gameday thread" thread.
  23. Well mine certainly doesn't run from the flank... but you can take that up with Donald Duffy who was the surgeon that did the operation at Melbourne's Mercy Hospital, and coincidentally, was President of the MFC.
  24. Oh, now I understand, because Judd gets away with something, then so should everyone else?
  25. Well, that's not how I saw it... anyway, I guess we will see soon enough if he is cited by the MRP.
