Watts will be fine. He is not a naturally aggressive person, so it will take him a little longer to realise that he has the kind of physique that will enable him to stand up in any contest (it is more a mental issue involving self belief, than any form of "pea-heartedness"). Once he realises that he actually has a strong frame and takes confidence from that, he will move on in leaps and bounds.

Form aside, there is one very good reason why we will not win... I'm going to the game.

Demonland Player of the Year 2012 - Round 7
hardtack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
You are correct OD, Clark should be included (as is indicated by the list above, posted while I was typing this missive). Agree that the list is looking poor (understatement), but I really don't want to detract from Magner's efforts as I really think he would be performing at a high level on any team's list... in fact, with better players around him, he could possibly perform even better! -
Demonland Player of the Year 2012 - Round 7

6 Clark 5 Magner 4 Jones 3 Batram 2 Garland 1 Morton Jones and Magner would have to be clear cut leaders for the Bluey now... has there ever been a time when a first year promoted rookie has won (or been runner up)? -
As I understand it, it is a video link and it is to make a plea (that is, guilty or not guilty) after which a time will be set for the trial to commence, which I guess could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few months.

I was thinking maybe the outs should be those who were in our best so they can experience what it's like to play in a winning side.

I'm with you on this one RR... a few people here need to try breathing into a brown paper bag. -
The comment was directed towards you or anyone else in particular... it was a general observation.

Yeah, I'll give you that... but I really dislike the way we will be lauding players one minute and have them up for trade in the next.
-
And on what do yo base your opinion that he was a bad choice? He is 7, yes count it, 7 games into a senior coaching career. He has had to revamp the entire coaching team, he has had to try to introduce the players to a game plan and he has had to deal with all manner of outside issues. Remind me again, how long did it take Bomber to have success with the Cats?

And no doubt we are the most fickle supporters in the comp. We can do the kind of 360 on a player, coach, or administrator, that would do a stunt driver at the Royal Melbourne show proud.
-
The way GWS have played and the way we are playing, we would lose... simple.
-
Dunn topped the possies. Hope Jurrah is called up as I am going to next Saturday's game and my son idolises him (well, so do I). First chance I've had to see the Dees in Sydney for a few years.

Yep, we can now claim last spot... and we don't even need to tank at this point.

So essentially Ned, you are creating a thread under the auspices of a game between the Cats and Crows, but in actual fact it is designed to have a shot at another member of our football department. I always thought Essendon had a hold on the title of "ferals" (supporters) that turn on their own at the drop of a hat... but I think we may be fast overtaking them.

Beautiful pass from McDonald... hit that Hawks player right on the chest directly in front.
-
Can't see how he would make any difference if the ball isn't getting past the centre.
-
Christ... now we're complaining when we score goals??!!??!
-
Fitzpatrick has certainly come on in leaps and bounds... he's having a real go out there tonight and has been quite effective.
-
Nor did he :-)
-
Players always go off after a goal... nothing new there (and I do realise you are joking... I hope). But the umpires are doing poorly with their recent rulings... Hawks player ducks and gets a free, then McKenzie slides into a player and no action taken.
-
Clark doing very nicely - 2 goals already.

Bennell is looking good so far
