Sorry to disagree mate but even Blind Freddy could see through this smokescreen. We made NO ATTEMPT to negotiate with Bruce. It was "Take it or leave it Pal. Never mind about your 12 seasons of continuous effort for the club on and off the field."
-
Good for him. We gave him the chopper so we can't blame him even though many on this forum do. Let him get on with his footy career. Would have preferred another team but that's how it goes I guess.

Where exactly was captaincy ever mentioned in all this unjust move by the MFC? Simply, Bailey and Co said, "it is time to give Cam the heave ho. He's old. Offer him a ridiculous contract. That will get rid of him." They could hardly ask him to retire as well as Junior could they? Very clever and sneaky indeed.

As far as the GF was concerned Bruce was INJURED!!! He was given the option of playing but felt he wasn't fully fit putting the TEAM first! History lesson for YOU!!! AND Brucey was R/U in B&F in two years when the team WAS SUCCESSFUL.(2002 and 2006). Sorry to shoot your argument down in flames!

My thoughts EXACTLY.

So you and a few others will boo Cameron until you are 'horse' (Neigh, neigh!!!) How pathetic! How childish! How PETTY!!!!!!!!Something a preschooler might say and do. Maybe you are only young and can be forgiven for not giving credit to a great Melbourne footballer who, for 11 years worked his butt off for the MFC. On the other hand if you are not so young then you have been spellbound by the late and stupid beyond words, Yze Magic. If others had shown the same commitment Bruce displayed we may have found ourselves much higher on the ladder in years gone by. Bruce's record stands alone and people should realise that. Like Junior he has been 'retired' by the MFC but in a much more devious manner. He wasn't asking for much more money and they, the MFC, could have easily met his demands. No, at the MFC, once you reach 30 you are over the hill and you are gone! They did not take into account Cam's superb level of fitness, just his age. Look out Greeny, you will be next! We are going to sorely miss Bruce's running and reading of the play next year. Cameron, I for one have enjoyed your silky skills and your dedication to the team you love. All the best for the future and I hope you earn 3 Brownlow votes when you play against us next year. However, I'm quick to add that I also hope that we thrash your team whoever they may be. Yes, I will always be a Demon but the MFC powers to be frustrate me immensely. Look forward to your return to Melbourne in a few years time.

The 1957 Melbourne team was great but I believe the 1956 team was even better. I will compare the two. 1957 Won 14, lost 6, tied 1. 1956 Won 18 Lost 2. !957 GF score Melbourne 17.14.116 def Essendon 7.13.55. 1956 GF score Melbourne 17.19.121 def C'wood 6.12.48.

I need help! I have recently changed my email address and computer. It seems that the old me, bobby mckenzie has disappeared after being a member since 2006. Can a moderator please email me as to how I can restore the original bobby mckenzie? Thanks very much in advance.

No answers yet! BBub sounding off with unsubstantiated facts?

Source of the alleged one year deal please! Where did you read it , hear it?

After the final game against North, Bruce said, " ....I've just got to hang in there and help try and improve these guys( OUR young players). I've got to try and get them up to a level and just hang in there." Hardly words of a man who was going to defect to another club. Well, that's how I read it anyway, take it or leave it.

Many thanks mate for your helpfulness. I get a full picture with Ch 7 and 10. But not Foxtel. BTW I am assuming that they do show the time clock and current scores? Once again your input is much appreciated. Cheers.
-
It's a new wide screen TV.(Flat screen). Players seem to have normal appearance.
-
Can anyone tell me why for the last two matches at least Foxtel do not have a time clock or even show the scores until after a goal is scored? Does my set simply need adjusting? Also their different camera angles is so confusing and at times it looks like one team or the other is kicking to the wrong end. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Help please.

That was his WORST game? Gee, his BEST must be good. 26 possessions @88%. 103 coaches points.

Stupid comments like that and you certainly are a rookie on this forum!! Can you cite the three mistakes? I can think of one where he had no chance of cutting off the pass but surely a crude attempt to spoil was better than letting his opponent take an easy mark. So it was Bruce and no one else who cost us the game? Obviously in your eyes, the only one to make mistakes in an error ridden effort from the boys. They tried TOO HARD for Junior I reckon.
-
Exactly, NOBODY on this forum knows what Cam gets. And boy, whatever the figure, he has sure earned it. He simply runs his guts out week in and week out for his beloved Dees. Not bad effort for a Number 64 draft pick eh?

HERALD sun poll showed 70% of voters went for Jurrah. Jurrah for mine too. Absolutely stupendous!!!
-
Noticed on the MFC website the name under Liam's huge mark was that of Mark Jamar. An Interesting complexion for a Russian!!!!
-
6. Cameron Bruce 5. Tom Scully 4. Liam Jurrah ( What a grab!) 3. James McDonald 2. Jordie McKenzie 1. Brent Moloney

Jaded, 9 tackles is hardly not putting his body in. I thought he spent a lot of time on the bottom of packs. Have a look at the replay to see what I mean. BTW, you originally gave Bruce 2 votes and then changed your mind and gave him none. Why? Not influenced by 'Stuie' I hope.
-
Sorry Stuie but you have got it all wrong. Going by the votes for Bruce by a HUGE MAJORITY of posters here it seems you are well and truly in the MINORITY group. Sure you can voice your opinion BUT it shows a lack of understanding of Bruce's role and the game in general. Ever played at a senior level? And I don't mean AFL or VFL.
