Why then did Hogan do well last season? Just curious.

Analysing yesterday's game -
Bobby McKenzie replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Garland as a leader does not inspire. Ive never seen him even talking and egging his team on. Sadly, his onfield performance dores not reek of leadership. One great leader we had is along way back. The great Ronald Barassi. He led by example and was a constant motormouth during a game. That is what I call REAL leadership. Jack Watts can, in bursts, rev up his team mates and inspire but he needs to do it more regularly and consistently. -
Demonland Player of the Year - Round 2

You forgot Norm Smith and Jack Mueller and ME! -
He certainly has! In the last few minutes Jonesy was felled after he disposed of the ball and a free should have been awarded further afield. BUT I am glad it didn't happen because we would not have seen JW twist, weave and turn to execute a perfect hand pass to Vanders for the match winning goal. Well done Jack.

6. Jack Watts-Sublime skills and endeavour 5. Jack Viney-Absolute powerhouse all day 4. Ben Kennedy-great pick up,combines so well with Garlett 3.Clayton Oliver- Magnificent debut! 2.Nathan Jones- What we get from Jonesy all the time. 1.Tom McDonald- Back to his best

I'm being picky but young Oliver had 5 possies in the second half. A great first up game.

I think 16 of their best out is just a slight exaggeration! Name them if you can. Some people are never happy even when we win. Don't you think we use these games to try different strategies and tactics for the real season?

Hogan and Brayshaw would bring us up to full strength I reckon. Maybe Petracca could be another to bolster our strength.

There are no examples on the current cricket scores but I did see both true B and false B in the same batting team's innings a couple of weeks ago. Very puzzling indeed. I am appreciating all the efforts you guys are putting in.It will be solved I'm sure. Maybe WJ will know.

No, it has featured in the recent NZ series as well as Sheffield Shield. Definitely first class cricket. Type in Live cricket scores and click on 'scorecard'.

I know this is on the wrong forum but I am really keen to see if any Demonlander can answer this question. On the scorecard for first class cricket there is a sundry which is new to me. We all know about byes, no balls, wides etc but what the hell is a true B and a false B? Both give extra runs to the batting side. Come on someone enlighten me as Google didn't know the answer! There has got to be someone who knows. Thanks.

You are not the only one Norm but it is GARLETT not Gartlett (no T in the middle plenty at the end). Just being picky I know.
-
I quite agree with you here. Does anyone know why Melbourne, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs and Port can't get top up players too?
-
I have a sneaky feeling these suspensions will be over thrown via a successful appeal by all players concerned. Therefore we will have Melksham available to play for us this coming season. Just a hunch I know but stranger things can and have happened. Let's see what transpires soon.

I am going for 10 to 12 in 2016 but look out other teams in 2017!

Thanks for that bb. And the dumb commentator said that he had lost his footing! Ha,ha we know Jeffy better than that don't we?
-
That was so,so clever. Sublime skills.

Going by Jeff's comments on the MFC website he is really enjoying himself at his new club. We all know that he had a personal off the field incident whilst at Carlton but that is all behind him now. I do not know him personally but he appears to be a really pleasant person on and off the field. He is a good sport, is not dirty and is quick to acknowledge good play by his teammates. He wants to kick 50 goals next season and reckons it is possible. He also showed a good sense of humour when he said that he hates crumbing alongside Jess Hogan. Why? "Because he always marks the ball!" Let's hope he can realise his 50 goal ambition.

Harmes for me. He has all the hallmarks of a very good footballer. Love his passion.
-
Thoroughly agree! Leave it well alone. Anything different and one would feel he/she were supporting a different team. 'It's a Grand Old Flag......' And song.
-
A champion player and the best fullback in the game in his era. What a lovely sight were his drop kicks. RIP Tassie.

I personally miss the tripe written by Yze Magic who disappeared from forum life many years ago.His outlandish statements always fired me up and I responded accordingly.

Thanks for that. i think I get the process now. So we might gain one or more draft picks from Sydney if they want to have Mills?

Help!!!!!! Someone please help me. Why are we talking about picks 4 and 10? The MFC website states that we have picks 3 and 7. I just don't get it!!!!!!
