2020 premiership ladder
I hope you are right even to a lesser extent than finishing top of the ladder. Sadly though, your positioning of Melbourne for 2020 was much like it was expected for the 2019 season. I believe we will rise again. Too many good horses in the stable not to improve greatly.

Trac should be our ‘dusty’
Dusty did win a Brownlow medal for his home and away form and polled plenty of votes in the Brownlow this season so his home and away efforts can't be that bad. I would sooner have him than Ablett and IMO he is certainly in Fyfe's league. We could have had Dusty in the Red and Blue draft time but chose to go for someone else. Jack Trengove I think. Oh well.

We'll Have To Keep Garlett
Keep Jeffy. When fit is a great chaser and tackler and he knows where the goals are.Too good to chuck away.

Will you renew your membership in 2020?
Good for you Jane. A true, dedicated supporter. I have been a Dees supporter all my life and that's 71years. I don't know what has happened this year but I look forward to us being a dominant team next season. We DO have a talented list despite what some may say.

Vale Frank "Bluey" Adams.
Very sad to hear of Bluey/s passing. What a champion winger he was. When he had the ball it was 'catch me if you can'. Gee he was fast. Even Hunty would pale in Bluey's presence. Of course he was courageous and tough and could he ever play football. RIP my Demon hero.

My 2019 List Appraisal
- Aaron vandenBerg
I watched the last round of 2018 V GWS. (In an attempt to lift my spirits!)How we have missed AVD this whole season. What an essential player he was. I do hope that if he can get himself fully fit he will not be delisted. Give him one more chance MFC. Watching borderline players now I realised that some could still play footy. Kennedy Harris was lively and more than a useful player. Oscar played well as he did in the finals, Neal Bullen too played well. What has happened this season? Jetta has been not the Neville we know, Hibberd looked so much fitter and faster than he is this season and Brayshaw was outstanding. Max, of course is the true champion he is. At one stage he chased a GWS player with pace for a good fifty metres even though the result was in our hands. Comments ?- Liam Jurrah 2019
Great video Moonshadow. Wonderful. exciting memories. Was that a very young Nev Jetta at the two minute mark of the video?- My 3 word player analysis V Carlton
I didn't see the game. How did Hunt in our forward zone cost us 4 goals? Name the occasions please.- Most Games as Teammates
Brad Green and Cameron Bruce would have to be up there too. Debuted in same year. Green played 254 games for the Demons and Bruce 224.Both didn't miss too many games through injury or suspension.- CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Thanks for the weather update Docs, 25 is not too bad for footy. Dry conditions should suit us. Here's hoping.- PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
Where did they play 20 games this season? I must have missed some matches.- Lowest Inside 50 Scoring Rate EVER
It certainly explains to a large extent our miserable 3 -9 win ratio this year. 818 inside 50's for a total of just 118 goals. The Geelong game was the worst with 72 entries for just 6 goals.Geelong from 48 entries scored 20 goals! We have created opportunities to score but to no avail. Inside 50's are Melbourne 818 Opposition 621.We have won the inside 50 count in 9 games out of 12 this season. We even pipped Collingwood with this stat yesterday, 118 goals 130 behinds is another factor while opposition have scored166-106 against us.Losing Hogan and a very out of form Tom McDonald are also contributing factors. Melksham would certainly help but our kicking for goal is sub standard. So many missed set shots from 35 metres out on very little angle. Wasn't it opening up old wounds when Weideman slotted the ball right through the middle from a very similar shot he had against Adelaide last week. Poor guy, I really felt for him last week and it was great to see so many teammates rush up to console him. He was absolutely shattered. As the poster concluded , How do we fix it? Over to you Simon and forward coaches.- Demonland Player of the Year - Round 12
6. Gawn Amazing game from Maxy. Simply amazing! 5. Harmes 4. Fritsch 3. Oliver 2. May 1. Brayshaw Apologies to Salem and Petracca.- AFL Hall of Fame Tonight
On what basis did he not deserve to be named? Or have you a personal dislike?- AFL Hall of Fame Tonight
Hope you are not implying that Trevor Barker didn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? He was a champion footballer and fine young man.- AFL Hall of Fame Tonight
I was thrilled personally that the late, great Trevor Barker was on the list. I coached the Cheltenham High Football team in the 70's and Trevor was in the team. No, he was not a star but a borderline selection week by week. He was a great kid nevertheless. When I heard that Trevor was playing for St Kilda seconds after he left school I thought that was a fantastic effort, Little did I know he was to become a super star in his own right. So sad he passed away at the age of just 39. Watching some Barker highlights I couldn't help comparing him with the also late, great Robbie Flower. They were both such spectacular fearless players. What do others think?- CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Viney out? Are you being serious here? Did you watch his endeavour and good play last night?- My 3 word player analysis V Crows
Hey Joeboy. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement. Oliver lost his way did he? Specsavers await you.- Demonland Player of the Year - Round 8
