All controversy and opinion aside, his football resume speaks for itself. Deserves a send off befitting his career.

Left a greater mark than players who had been here three or four times longer. Forever a Demon Dog. Thanks for everything, Crossy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
P-man replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well, that seals it. Welcome to the MFC, Jake. -
Will be a welcome return in 2016. Still needs to tidy up his decisonmaking but he's naturally skilled, quick and isn't afraid to take the game on. Tough as bricks too. He's like an upgraded version of Tapscott. Hopefully his career takes a different path.

Danger will obviously be a huge boost to any club, but I don't think his acquisition is going to prevent a Cats slide. We are still yet to see how they handle the ar$e falling out of their list and relying on largely youngsters, most of whom i wouldn't rate anywhere near as promising as ours.

No disrespect but you can't be serious. Bennell is miles better than Yarran. Yaz has skills and pace, but also amazing vanishing skills. If there's hesitation about Bennell's influence on off-field culture, he's got nothing on Yarran when it comes to detrimental influence on-field. One of the softest downhill skiers going around. Roos says he wants competitors. Yarran is pretty much the antithesis of that. I'd only be interested in getting him on the cheap, but Carlton won't part with him cheaply. Tigers can have him as they continue their tour of delusion.

lol You know you've left an impression when the site's owner is trolling you.

How many Frawley threads do we need? Zero. Commenting on his game within the Finals thread is sufficient. He is a Hawks player. It's embarrassing seeing these threads pop up to monitor his progress like a scorned lover. It's Scully all over again. Even when we've made out like bandits in BOTH scenarios, Many of our supporters seem to struggle in getting the [censored] over things. Time to start thinking like winners. Winners aren't constantly looking over their shoulder. /rant

I can see Fitz getting another opportunity elsewhere which I hope happens. May even come back to bite us. I wouldn't rule it out. Would pay out Terlich. M Jones hanging on by the skin of his teeth. Depends on who we bring in.

2015 Player Review - 13 Jordie McKenzie
P-man replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The standout performer during pre-season according to Saty. Amounted to 1 game. I think he can say he gave it his all during a tough period at the club. He can be proud of that. -
Good god man. There's a difference between aggressive trading and mind numbingly stupid trading.
-
Agreed. Looked on the path to being a star but has hit a stumbling block. With Gawn having number 1 ruck sewn up, I don't see where he would fit.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
P-man replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
He spat in the direction of. Not condoning it, but he never spat ON the player. Maybe it's my age. I can't bring myself to loathe someone who has a lot of maturing left to go. I also don't form my opinions of people based on stories retold from others, especially when it comes to AFL players. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
P-man replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
We will after next season. If we can keep the list healthy, serious inroads can be made in 2016. I'm not tipping final 8 but if we can give it a nudge with our list profile, there is going to be a lot more interest to join the ride in 2017. As it stands though, outsiders need to be convinced and 2015 didn't provide enough in the eyes of many. -
He's a tease in some ways. His best games this year have again been at a high level. Pity he's only had a handful of them. I expect the Pedo v Dawes debate to rage on next season. With a gun to my head...I choose Pedo.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

Mainly because he's a bog ordinary footballer. The rare times he actually gets his hands on it he coughes it up. Skills mean nothing if you turn to water under pressure. Sure he might be a bit better than Ro Bail. Whoop de doo. What do you give up for a marginal upgrade on Bail? Not a lot I'd suggest. And you sure as [censored] don't offer them a 4 year contract. Almost every player can compile a half decent highlights package. It means nothing. His consistency isn't there and if it's anything more than third round it's a massive risk based on the form he's shown over the past 24 months. I'd go as far as to say the only place you'd find people who think this is a good idea are absolute optimists on Demonland. Everyone else is laughing themselves silly, including Bombers fans. The most positive thing I can say is that a change of club often works wonders. It would have to work a minor miracle on what I've seen of Melksham this season. -
Both Benjamin and myself are more about peace and love these days. Fun times though

Actually a pretty decent article from Jay Clark. You tend to notice the decent ones. They stick out.

Nah just between paras. No biggy.

A lot of MFC parents have some uncomfortable conversations coming up if both Howe and Watts leave.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
P-man replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
How on earth do you come to "absolutely despise" a kid who had his 21st birthday last year? Unless you're close to that age yourself, but even then, he's just barely an adult who plays for the tiniest club in the league. The again, good old grandad doesn't like his face. -
Col, love your work, but I implore you to consider spacing out your text before you post it. Would make it a lot easier to read and there's good stuff in there to be read.
-
When he's a link in the chain, good things generally happen, and his ferocity at the contest already sets a standard for the rest of the team.
-
Merely a question of whether we're in the race. If we are then he'd be a great pick up. Extremely skilful and quick. Assets we need. Badly.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
P-man replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
No it isn't. Kicking needs work but it's improving all the time. If this was a possibility it's a yes from me. The bottom line is that he would improve our starting midfield. He's an accumulator and we have precious few of those. I doubt GWS would go for it though. This time last year when they were all gooey eyed over Howe then maybe, but they've seen behind the curtain and will surely have realised by now that Howe isn't as good as they first thought. Yes there are better targets, but Greene is far from the worst of them.
