  1. Correct. They don't smash the kids by labelling a debutant 'worst on ground' if he does nothing.
  2. Like almost anyone, if we can get a decent deal, trade him. I doubt we'll be offered what we think he's worth, though, given his injury history and career output so far. Forget about how he was ranked by CC, based on his career in the juniors. If Sylvia can cement his spot in our 22 as we become a better side, that'll be great. Talk about putting the cart before the horse...
  3. Interesting that Carroll's gone forward successfully in a couple of games. Can't see him reinventing himself, but I guess stranger things may have occurred in footy
  4. That's how I've seen it - less about what his man does, and more about what he does with the ball. I also agree with you regarding Bode being quite unobtrusive. I think the Sandy coaches report has mentioned working on his counter-attack, so he can take that to AFL level.
  5. I'm glad I'm not the only one, 45hotgood It's also been announced in the papers
  6. He has a good footy brain, and works hard. It was a shame he coughed it up coming out of defence a couple of times, undoing the good work that he'd done in winning the footy.
  7. If we can have a Dunn as a tagger, that's great - more flexibility than a Godfrey, and more potential to hurt players the other way. Shame the best taggers in the game can't do what you're saying.
  8. Yes, it was a great turnover. As for trade, his value wouldn't be great. However, like anyone, if the deal's a win then you take it.
  9. King managed to push his way back into the premiership team, and do a decent job.
  10. I thought Valenti was one of our better players. Martin's form was one of the positives to come out of today. Both still have a long way to go, and I'm not sure how much up-side Valenti has.
  11. Some very poor efforts from Sylvia today.
  12. Nice one. Any estimate on the turnout?
  13. Morton always looks to have time on his side when he has the ball in congested positions, and doesn't seem to panic when tackled. He also knows how to find the footy. I think he'll be a very good player. You must watch a different game to me. He put in a couple of shockers in succession - not just versus Richmond, but the preceding game too (Collingwood? Hawthorn?). However, earlier in the season his kicking looked fine.
  14. It's not like WB were playing well - they had plenty of errors, too. The game should have been done and dusted at quarter time.
  15. Jaded, after that game early in the season, I guess you really don't rate Newton Haha
  16. True. Touche. Nothing to indicate it's the first goal of the game though, and more likely not
  17. "Back in front" implies it's not the first goal of the game
