I think it was originally thought that his wrist would heal, but it didn't so therefore the surgery. He was already in the rehab group, they are now on a break, when the players return Liam will be ready to continue training, is the way I read it.

Team Selections delayed in 2012 - thanks to channel 7!!
Big Kev replied to Vagg's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think you will find that Foxtel have paid $500+ million for their share, I don't think CH 7 are paying close to a $Billion. -
Martin Flanagan is a brilliant writer. All the best big Jimma, Sam and the rest of the Stynes clan.

Apology not required. Feel free to stick it up anyone who criticises him unfairly. Pre-ordered the book and read it as soon as I received it, really enjoyed it Rudeboy, I only hope that Liam has enough highlights over a long career to fill a quite a few more books. How is Liam finding the new training regime?

Received our memberships in the mail today.

Players available in the Pre Season and Rookie Drafts
Big Kev replied to alpha33's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think Nelson fits the criteria that Neeld & Co are looking for, big bodied strong midfielder -
I concur

I hope there is a replacement RudeBoy, do we know why Ian was given the flick?

Big Kev replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Daniel Nicholson (rookie) (v) I didn't know that Dan was that old -
According to Emma Quayle we have put a lot of work into him.

I concur.

The audio is up on SEN in two parts - http://www.sen.com.au/audioplayer/Audio/Melbourne-Coach-Mark-Neeld-Part-One/3417 The part is missed was the expectations he and the rest of the coaching staff have of the players etc....

Caught some of it. Told the story about going to Brisbane to meet Mitch Clark, told how he can't endorse anyone into the leadership group without seeing their behaviours over pre-season, a decision will be made in March, Brad Green was accepting of this and signed his new contract the day after being told. The boys are at Princess Park this morning doing time trials, Mark expects players who want to play in the midfield to be elite runners and expects them to do 10minute lows or better. Harford said when he was at Carlton Andrew walker ran a 10:20 or so. Missed a chunk in the middle where I think he was talking about the dynamics between the coaching staff, but not sure.

He is a professional footballer who gets paid to represent the Melbourne Football Club and therefore the AFL. If he wasn't in the squad to play Ireland with a training session that day then I would have no problem with his actions as they have been presented. "Went to a mates place, stayed the night, got someone to drive him home the next day (in case he wasn't in a condition to drive himself)" good responsible stuff. One would think the honour of representing your country (whether we think Australia V Ireland is a load of rubbish or not, it is the only way for an AFL footballer to represent their country) should have been enough for Colin to take better care of himself, if he didn't want to play because it ate into his R&R time he should have withdrawn from the squad. Wake up Colin your career is half over and you are only half performing. Think of the message that Brent Moloney gave you at the Melbourne B&F and get your act together.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Big Kev replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
In one of Jack Viney's interviews he said he was looking forward to playing for Casey next year and to train with the MFC players, but I do not know if we have sought or received permission for him to play for Casey yet. -
They are invited after the national draft, it is for hopefuls that are not picked up.
