  1. wow that is a smashing the blues got. I wonder where the media will go this week, I guess it also depends if Richmond get thrashed tomorrow. But surely the blues getting thrashed by gws is another big story and mick will cop more heat. Carlton people have just run out of patience.
  2. MELBOURNE coach Paul Roos has told his players to forget about Saturday's 105-point loss to Hawthorn and he has no plans to show them a replay as part of the team's review. The coach suggested his players could even be granted extra days off this week as the club prepares to audit their workload and conditioning after a sluggish performance at the MCG. Roos said injury management was a big issue for the Demons after Jesse Hogan was withdrawn pre-game with soreness and Christian Salem was substituted with a hamstring injury. Wow 20 years ago if a team had a loss like that there would be a 6am bring your mouth guards training session where it was an all out no holds back training. YOu also have to think Roos has never been in this position as coach where the team gets belted a lot. So I guess he has to find a way to get confidence back into the boys.
  3. well im not shocked that we lost and the reigning premiers should thrash a team like us but today we just couldnt stick a tackle and hawthorn just waltzed through us like a training drill. We couldnt handball to a player 5 metres away and we were to slow kicking the ball. Our forward line wasnt there expect fro Pedo and Gartlett Chris Dawes back up your words with actions. Don't shoot your mouth off and then play a horrible horrible game. Jeremy Howe what has happened to you? By the way I think the criticism of Nathan Jones on this site is disappointing. This guy has carried us and the midfield for the past few years. He has been the heart and soul. Give him a break. His midfield counterparts struggled today. I just want to see how we come out next week against the dogs and see what the response is. I expect a good one and would want to see a much much better improvement.
  4. do i think we can win, no but I just want a tough 4 quarter effort and to see frawley 1 out with hogan or dawes and get rag dolled.
  5. A couple of weeks ago at the freo game I had a group of guys sitting behind me and they said I would hate to be Jack Watts. Imagine being criticised the whole time, being hated and being abused and being judged on everything you do. Social media these days can be brutal with what people can post.

  7. I only watched the first half but kept checking the scores. I watched the last 2 minutes and htought the bombers were going to steal it. I hate essendon but that free to petrie in the dying stages when daniher took that mark was not there. Petrie got a little nudge and totally exaggerated. Anyway essendon should be only sitting on the 1 win. I mean hawthorn should have beaten them and the saints should have beaten them as well. If you want a laugh head to bomberblitz
  8. saw the interview. His speech is going but he still has his sense of humour and his laugh and that smile. What a horrible thing for anyone to go through.
  9. hopefully jack viney comes back next week. Pedo was on of the most improved last year. Its a shame he didnt get another go.
  10. Over the past few weeks I reckon we have been well beaten in the clearances particularly the centre, and hawthorn still have some elite midfielders there, so i can see why we have bought in the mids. I still think we are 1 tall short. 2:10 saturday arvo footy at the G 17 degrees and sunshine. Bring it on.
  11. it looks like roos has identified we need more run and midfield help. Cant believe Spencer gets another go. Not surprised by watts.
  12. dawes did make a good point. Whoever Frawley plays on you need and he thinks its hogan, he nees to run him off his feet as chip hasnt played for a few weeks. Do I expect to win. No and hawthorn should beat a team like us, but anything can happen. I just want to see a good hard contest where we do go in hard at them and stay in the contest. I expect tommy to get Roughead. But having no Lewis and Hodge helps a little bit.
  13. I remember it must have been back in 2006 or that time when we were good and we beat hawthorn and they said look demons fans you are on top of the ladder. how I wish for those days. Reported on the news tongiht lake is a chance to come back and frawley will probably come back. Its a shame because Shoenmakers is very vulnerable 1 out. Love to see Hogan rip through the pack.
  14. well west coast are the sneaky team that have quietly risen up the ladder. With all there injuries to there backmen they are going really well. To beat port in adelaide is a great win. I think the media bus has turned from punt rd and heading to optus oval. There were some unexpected results this weekend.
  15. well im guessing Richmond will be in the media this week. Glad to see Freo do the job on the bombers and tomorrows Carlton Brisbane game will be very interesting.
  16. well at half time I was bored, but the 2nd half was a bit more enjoyable to watch. We started to play on and run a bit more. Hogan was more exciting and I was impressed with Salem tonight. Tommy Mac was brilliant and yes I still get nervous when he tries to run with the ball. But to keep Buddy goalless was well done, especially how many times that ball went down to there forward line. Can someone please tell me why Spencer refuses to kick the ball. Whenever he gets it he looks for the handpass. Im sorry but either put Jamar back in or give Gawn a go. We got smashed out of the middle and we just couldnt lay a tackle especially in the first half. In saying that I was impressed with Brayshaw. Maybe he could show the others how to lay a good tackle. Happy to see Stretch start the game and see him kick a goal with his first kick. At half time I was expecting a 60-70 point loss so 38 wasnt to bad. We also missed some easy shots. Oh a message to Howe and his manager. If he can find a club that is stupid enough to pay him that rumoured 600k then thats a good effort, because on tonights match he'd be worth half.
  17. Im at the game and im bored.
  18. Great we get hawthorn on the rebound next week after a loss to gws
  19. Where is everyone? This is a crowd of 3 years ago when we were non competitive
  20. I heard the start of SEN and they were talking about it. They said no collingwood player sledged him, there was no fans that sledged him and dermie said he just got into the rooms shortly after the song and someone said where is Mitch and Dermie said there he is, he is standing over there with his mates laughing. But if he needs time out he should take it. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/geelong-forward-mitch-clark-in-tears-after-teams-win-over-collingwood/story-fni5f6yf-1227347759122 On a side note there is a video of eddie demonstrating how to kick the footy. Obviously a reference to Clokes shocking miss in the final quarter. which for a player like him he has no excuse for missing.
  21. Mitch Clark was not injured last night. He had a moment and Chris Scott's handling was superb. Clark needs understanding and support. Tweet from Robbo
  22. geez I hope we get off to a better start than last week.
  23. well if you go on twitter, its not robbo syaing he has hurt his foot it was some guy tweeting Robbo, then you also read apparently a collingwood fan yelled out go back to hospital. Look I don't stand for personal abuse like that but maybe Mitch needs to miss a few matches, if he isnt emotionally and mentally ready.
  24. Stat: Last 14 teams to play #Carlton have lost the next week. should be a competition wide boycott on playing Carlton
  25. melbourne victory have scored the same amount of goals as the pies.
