Oh dear if you don't see the difference between Ablett and Scully I feel sorry for you Ablett helped deliver success to his club he contributed to 2 premierships and a brownlow He repaid the faith no one at Geelong can be upset about what he did at the club they were successful we are not they were we will continue not to be if the status quo maintains The 186 point loss should have been the absolute end of the uncommitted They club should of eye balled everyone they way Adelaide did and those who were not committed 2012 forwards told the magoos was the place for them including Scully. But the club accepts 50% from our players most of the time why would this be any different.
-
The way out is quite simple really never again accept mediocrity again If a side wants to loose by 186 they entire leadership group is sacked and they play magoos till they prove themselves pick the best team to play pick the best leadership group Get rid of Leading Teams Get rid of a useless, dysfunctional football department If someone doesn't go in hard win their own ball then they are traded We no longer stand as a wasteland of also rans not up to it That the likes of Newton played senior games this year is the issue We're happy being pathetic, supporters accept it not many have the guts to challenge it.
-
A strong club doesn't loose a number 1 draft pick and runner up in rising star A strong club doesn't loose their potential best player A club with leadership doesn't put up with this farce A club hopeful of retaining a player doesn't sell it as the place to be by loosing by 186 points The naivety of Scully sympathisers extraordinary This saga is the truest reflection of ourselves and our inability to achieve on field success. Now our inability to retain talent has us going backwards even faster. 'Use the Scully picks on ready made talent' What a joke!!! We have no chance of attracting anyone or getting anyone to commit to us What's the selling point come join the bruise free demons who loose by 186 points.

Hardly an attractive proposition at the moment. But your right I can think of no situation where we've landed a fish we're after
-
Surely this comes to an end in the next 24 hours. I fully expect the usual claims of 'it took a long time to reach this decision' 'I wanted to weight up every possibility so that I can ensure my football playing future' 'the opportunity to be a leader at a new club Is really exciting' 'I see it as the challenge I require at this point of my career' 'Im off to GWS and believe me I only considered that option 3 days ago' 'Id like to thank the MFC for drafting me they're a great club with a strong future I just saw my opportunity and fullfillment of potential at GWS' 'it will be tough moving away from family but I'll have more money Than I can spend. Surely it writes itself into the crescendo well all know that's coming soon.

Ignorant denial of reality is all it is. Yes the media beat stories up hell they even fabricate stories but they don't run them for 9 months without some sort of encouragement. This Scully strategy is direct from the Judd text book on maximising your profile and getting every buck you can His season ended 28th of August Ten days to get on with it. we are waiting for one reason To maximise exposure and publicity for GWS and provide the appearance of consideration
-
Enjoying this farcical process playing out to the band of 'GWS please give us publicity'. Considering facilities now how astute T. Scully is in fact I can think of only one process. That resembles the joke that was orchestrated by one C. Judd. Go now go away, slip into obscurity playing in the back blocks of Sydney. Enjoy the money. A club beholden to a second year player what a joke.
-
Your complete and utter drivel has totally taken out of context what the point I was making Your insights into football farcical. Roughhead played much the same position and role Hale is taking now Relieves in the ruck and spends time forward. When forward he takes a key defender freeing up Bruest and Rioli Hale's value to Hawthorn had been immense they'd view the trade successful We were right not to pay pick 12 for Hale although your assessment of Cook is generous considering he cant crack magoos. What Hale represents is my original point demand drives currency regardless of ability many sides need a player like Warnock regardless of his calibre we should expect a good deal. Before you go off half cocked like a nut ball how about you refrain from the vitriol.

JACK WINS DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Diablo Deemon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
the fact he missed four games through suspension makes this even more astounding. Well done Jack -
Insipid culture of fail that nurtures substandard performance produces articles such as that. Only the MFC supporters, members and officialdom could be happy about a spirited loss to a side that's had 2 wins for a year. Is there no end to this mire.
-
I'd suggest after Roughead went down Hale has made the ultimate difference He has made the ultimate difference in their structure. His ruck work has been consistent and ability to kick goals useful he has taken a key defender and the likes of Bruest and Rioli are allowed off the hook. Well worth their investment when they are top 4
-
Get off the Scully bathwater a season of speculation drove him no closer to signing He quite willingly allowed his team mates to defend speculation about his commitment Move beyond what is said and look at what has been displayed.
-
If we went by that logic Mclean would of been an end of 4th rounder the wider public reckons the MFC are hopeless despots with an insipid culture of failure and by and large they are right thankfully Joe average has no say demand drives currency full backs are in demand that is all...
-
demand is what drives currency and I would suggest a ready made full back has an extremely high currency currently. Why. Gold Coast want one to relieve Bock Carlton want one to assist Jamison Richmond need to sure up their back line Hawthorn need to sure up their back line North could use another key defender GWS will want a ready made defender 1st rounder is all i'd expect Warnock might not be a world beater disposal wise but he is rarely beaten one on one and he will be in demand
-
What a joke an entire year and where no further progressed. How could someone possibly not know what they were going to do.
-
A 9 month refuge for the uncommitted is what the MFC now stands for come along take games off other developing players, apply negative pressure on your mates by having them harassed about your own intentions. If ever the tail was allowed to wag the dog this is the instance. This entire season has reflected the Scully farce. Announce your intentions Scully stop waiting for the benefit of GWS.
-
You sack a coach and you expect to see a refocus of effort Christ even Adelaide Showed something when they did away with Craig to dish up one win from five goes to The heart of our issues both as a club as a supporter base and why for 50 years we have had Absolutely no success. We are comfortable in mediocrity and we accept non commitment and we lack the courage to rectify our own insipidness. We had ultimate motivation this year it was our year to finally be taken seriously and earn some respect amongst the football Community after 24 weeks we are a laughing stock loosing to Geelong in the most disgusting display possible. Today we loose To a rabble we are truly rudderless we stand for nothing we are once again the blight and butt of the joke. Where to from here. All apologists must seek exits at haste the club is not an oasis for prolonged underperformance. This simply can't go on in this state. On field must reflect off field progress and we must return to our rightful place. I'll not abide our players having an inability to compete in a contest. Our players lack any resolve Let it be known supporters have ultimate resolve and will no longer accept be embarrassed.
-
Tell the members what they deserve to know. Commit to the MFC indicate your intention ASAP Dont keep us waiting for a Tuesday or Wednesday presser for GWS Let the stakeholders know whether you'll be there next season front up
-
This 9 month farce has been the entire antithesis of what loyalty isn't
-
Too much deleting of posts and sanitisation anyhoo you will currently get NO market for a bet on whether Scully stays or goes ALL open markets have been closed The decision has been made all parties informed await the announcement Monday
-
Bate's current largest deficiency is playing too much at Casey and being able to adapt confidently to AFL level. Bate will seek trade as soon as this season finishes and watch him flourish at another club. My biggest question regarding Bate is are we a good enough side to leave someone like Bate out of the side? Is he only our 30th best player I think we got ahead of ourselves leaving him out of the side.
-
I will give him till Thursday next week to announce his commitment I don't care if he signs with us or not. But have the guts to be upfront as soon as the season finishes. If this goes beyond next week I'll be very angry.
-
He's Signed till the end of 2013. He refuted strong interest from GCS
-
pathetic, disingenuous, simple, masochist nice work champs slap slap fair enough that's your prerogative. How can you not question direction of a club if it fails to seal up its best talent If Collingwood, Adelaide and whoever else can seal of GWS targets and we don't what are the ramifications for where we are at. Are we 'rebuilding' forever. Does it mean with free agency that we are destined to be raided whenever a potential suitor comes along with a similar offer. I am seriously circumspect that we have anything like what could be considered attractive. The wheel may turn and turn quickly. However Scully leaving would put a nail through the already very fragile belief that were anywhere where we need to be. People argue its youth, on field leadership, poor coaching, too Melbourne You call syndrome I call it sick of failure, ineptitude and bruise free
-
Anderson has stated we'd get the same deal as Ablett. But not picks 1 and 2 they'd be 2 first rounders. Hypothetically, If Scully leaves will it be because the club is no further progressed than GWS. So will it be through our own ineptitude that we don't keep him or Money is the only factor and its what motivates. I look at other clubs that have resigned players Daisy, Walker, and you see it as an endorsement of their clubs direction if we don't get Scully to sign are we direction less.
