  1. i cannot find anything on youtube showing watts playing well.....
  2. Did Jamar take Jurrah as his date? Classic! My link
  3. wasn't there talk he wanted to go home to port last year? crikey i hope that doesn't happen..
  4. MASSIVE test next week. Will be absolutely brutal. We'll need Beamer me thinks.
  5. so does miller get a look in after today? i am not so sure who can be omitted for miller's 10 goals vs GC juniors?
  6. LJ won't be dropped for a midfielder... Although Bail did nothing wrong at all i feel he'll be the one to go for Trengove. PJ or Bennell for Maloney (if fit) depending on whether we need 2 rucks. Should be Junior to go based on current form but it is doubtful this will happen.
  7. Assuming Junior retires at the end of the year, this might be our best 22 for our first crack at top 4: B: Colin Garland, Jared Rivers, Jack Grimes HB: Jordie McKenzie, James Frawley, Cameron Bruce C: Jack Trengove, Nathan Jones, Brad Green HF: Ricky Petterd, Jack Watts, Tom Scully F: Colin Sylvia, Matthew Bate, Liam Jurrah FOLL: Mark Jamar, Brent Moloney, Aaron Davey I/C: Jordan Gysberts, Lynden Dunn, Rohan Bail, Cale Morton This team has one ruckman so it would depend who we're playing / if Jamar can ruck all day etc.. Jamie Bennell, Joel Macdonald, Clint Bartram, Paul Johnson, Neville Jetta Come in for injuries & matchups
  8. B: Colin Garland, Jared Rivers, Clint Bartram HB: Jordie McKenzie, James Frawley, Cameron Bruce C: Jamie Bennell, Nathan Jones, Brad Green HF: Lynden Dunn, Jack Watts, Tom Scully F: Colin Sylvia, Matthew Bate, Liam Jurrah FOLL: Mark Jamar, Brent Moloney, Aaron Davey I/C: Joel Macdonald, Paul Johnson, Rohan Bail, Cale Morton Pretty good team IMO - only Grimes, Trengove, Junior, Gysberts, Petterd missing from our best 22. I wonder how we'd fit em all in if everyone was fit?
  9. oh god the trumpeter sh*ts me! why does he have to dress like a dodgy 70s college frat boy lovechild of matt preston?? i'd rather see one of liam's mates on the didge - especially at 3/4 time.
  10. Here goes: Bartram - another reliable performance Bate - terrific linking role Bennell - fast skillful moments Bruce - put in 100% Cheney - good and bad Davey - sublime at times Dunn - impressive once again Frawley - brutal and skillful Garland - almost our best Green - b o g Jamar - dominated all day Johnson - good ruck work Jones - not his best Jurrah - some good signs MacDonald - important at times Moloney - another gutsy display Rivers - atoned for errors Scully - more to come Sylvia - made a statement Trengove - young gun; classy Watts - on the way! McKenzie - great at stoppages
  11. both bartram and dunn will be on the list next year. in doubt would be miller, bell, wonna, bruce (gold coast?), mcdonald (retired?) all the rookies apart from hughes will be lucky to be kept (mckenzie will be perm senior listed next year)
  12. We need a forward - it could be time for Garland. That goal against the Pies on QB from 55 was all class.
  13. IN: Warnock (if fit), Bruce (if fit), Bate (if fit), Bail (if fit and one of the other three isn't fit) OUT: Bartram, Wonna, MacDonald
  14. i was watching with the sound down - what were the commentators saying when sylvia was rucking?
  15. ok and what were you doing there big shot - having devonshire tea?? comeon man what footy player doesnt get [censored] when they're young?? none of em. you are a scaremonger sensationalist attention seeker.
  16. Thanks for this Cam - it's great to know that the footy dept read thsese forums!! (including all the drunken rants from myself occasionally). can i just say that any Watts knockers are fools - how can you judge an 18 yr old!! Let's support the young man and watch the magic unfold - ala jurrah/scully/grimes/trengove!
  17. I have heard from those in the know that PJ is considered out ruck future and is Jamar's number 2 by a mile. He's been very impressive a few years back and will get better with fitness.
  18. Why not play Watts? IN: WATTS OUT: DUNN Dunn is OK but Watts needs to be playing at this level. 4 goals warrants his inclusion. Would love to bring back Bail but there aren't any other outs unless we go one less tall in the backline.
  19. Damn well i can try... Davey - some poor kicking Green - a true leader Moloney- 3 bad quarters bruce - learn from scully batram - did a job garland - our best defender (today) sylvia - poor game today grimes - some dodgy disposal trengove - missing at times (although its only his 5th game so he was fine really this 3 word thing is hard) frawley - not as composed mcdonald - could be better bennell - not enough drive rivers - fairly benign performance macdonald - kicking needs work (specifically i mean stop kicking it into the man) dunn - not doing enough jamar - vital player again bate - where was he? warnock - some clangers today jones - good disposal again petterd - some class occasionally martin- not good enough scully - brilliant playmaker again
  20. sorry i am thinking of an injury later in his career than 2000 when he was nicknamed 'brownlow' bruce. it may have been a shoulder though. my memories are sketchy on details sadly, but the point is he got injured at a time when he was touted as a favourite for the brownlow and potentially hasn't been the same player since - and maybe because he has gone for a leaner frame as a result of his injury....?
  21. i am only offended at how kind you were to the team after today's effort
  22. yeah i noticed that for alot of players - could it have been the dreaded GAMEPLAN? The same one we used in the glory days of 2008/09??
  23. i think cam bruce is that player who divides us supporters because he is both good and bad. i find myself slagging him off yet my mate i go to games with tells me he's our best player. arrgh the frustration that is cam bruce!! i think yes his disposal is crap but it wasn't back in the days when he was briefly nicknamed "Brownlow Bruce" before doing his groin in that double tackle from the saints i think? probably around 94? anyway if you will recall he was way more buff then and was hard as and playing in the middle and man he COULD play. But i reckon he's not big anymore because of the groin injury ie his body type couldn't handle the extra muscle - i'm no scientist btw but this is what i think might have happened. since then he's been a kinda spare parts man who can find the pill and should be able to use it but does let the team down frequently with the disposal... probably time to retire at the end of the year??
