  1. sounds like your mate at the bar is a bit of a 5hit talker
  2. youve got to be kidding me more public disgrace and another poor kid with a target on his back to not meet our expectations i'll take pick 2 thanks
  3. IN: Rohan Bail, James Sellar, Neville Jetta, Max Gawn, Rory Taggert pure silk that group
  4. how could anyone even think of arguing with the fact that the grimesgove appointment was a massive error that needs to be corrected immediately
  5. every year we have this thread and every year it is an exhibition of our sad desperation I am going to go out on a limb and say this time next year we will be in the exact same spot with the same low quality list and a list of problems as long as your arm
  6. I said he did not play a good game. It seems you are agreeing with that but stupidly trying to argue at the same time for no reason at all.
  7. you are straight out wrong, you have to have more than 2 kicks in a game of AFL football no matter what role you are in see above
  8. come on he had 2 kicks for the day and the bloke he was blanketing received 7 frees, for me that is a failure of a tagging job
  9. In a side full of blokes that have let us down badly he is possibly the worst offender. Deserves none of our respect.
  10. is that the same Aaron Davey that lined up a huge contract and hasn't had a kick for 3 years? He has failed miserably in what should have been a badly needed senior leader role and is obviously one of the key offenders in this peahearted mob.. remember the time everyone was going on about him being the leader for Bennell, Jetta and Jurrah, great job there Aaron that group has really come through for the MFC. FMD, get him as far away from the club as possible thanks
  11. pft if I was picking a side I would go Mitch Clark before Richo every single day of the week
  12. mediocrity would be 9th-10th on the ladder with about 11 wins, that would be awesome
  13. This is a joke right? we have a list of softc0cks so let's put an old hard nut on the list and watch the others somehow just absorb that from him and presto no more softc0cks
  14. Melbourne Football Club - come watch the death of a sick old man
  15. Honestly, we have had some rock bottom times in recent years but it just seems to get worse. It seems like every promising player just turns out to be another bust. I am looking at the list now and asking myself 'who in this group is likely, at their ceiling, to be a player worthy of being a premiership contending side, and still has a good number of years left?' N.Jones and Clark (who may be finished) Sylvia - not looking likely and he's 27. Garland at 25, maybe Dawes, 25 Frawley, 24 Tommy Mac, 20? Honestly that's about it. 7 names I would consider assets we can have confidence in. Even halfway through this year I would not have hesitated to include the likes of Watts, Howe, McKenzie, Grimes and Trengove - but how could anyone include any of them .. their combined efforts in the last month would scarcely add up to one genuine performance from a true elite player of the competition! and for all the scrutiny that goes on these blokes... what about somebody like Tapscott? Pick 18 in his 4th year, this bloke has deadset done maybe 3 or 4 valuable pieces of play in his entire career. What is the explanation for that? His story is similar to Blease and Strauss, it just defies belief. so of course we look to Viney, Toumpas, Hogan, Fitzpatrick and more high picks to come - the problem is only a complete madman would look at the precedent set for developing talent at this club and actually expect these players to amount to anything. It is just the way it goes at this wasteland of a club, look at our list 5 years ago, it includes: Maric, Morton, Cheney, Wonaeamirri, Petterd, Bate, Newton, Buckley, Martin, Johnson etc all these blokes at one time or another were young hopefuls for us and they all amounted to JACK SQUAT.
  16. craig has to go in 10 matches we have been disgraced 4 times. In the other 6 we have done just OK. It's not enough improvement. he has not managed to address in any way our continual propencity to 'switch off' for chunks of games and get blown away. That is all mental, that is all his domain.
  17. toump's best game for us so far ... but it certainly wasn't anything special. He only had 8 kicks and half of them missed the mark no votes for me today, Dunn the only one close.. maybe
  18. I could not believe that. WTF is wrong with that? Go F yourself Harley you add absolutely zero to a commentary team.. why don't you and 'Baz' get a room you butt pirate
  19. FMD did you miss the part in the second quarter where they conceded 6 unanswered goals in 15 minutes?
  20. - The major focus of the broadcast today was just how wonderful the crows, their venue and their supporters all are. I wish someone would have had the BALLS to tell the truth and mention how fitting it is to have the last game play out like that: with the crows getting prime quality silver service from the umpires. Ah the memories, so many dodgy frees, so many undeserved wins. Could you believe it when Pedo got a free in the last quarter and they all went nuts booing!? Absolute minimum of 6 goals they cost us, what a friggin disgrace. In the last there was a free against Frawley (it was never shown even in replay, and the commentators didn't even mention it all) and you could hear Chip say to the ump 'you're killing us mate, you're absolutely killing us'. - I don't think I have ever wanted a commentary box to burst into flames as much as I did today. What a pack of douchebags. They offer no valuable insight or analysis, are incredibly biased against Melbourne and talk more carp than I have ever heard. 'Sloane's got the golden locks but he plays hard footy'.. 'who will be the last player to be falconed at this ground' 'did you kinow the record for most individual goalkickers is intact' .. of my favourite line of the day re: the Mexican wave.. it is good to see ppl support something in football that originated in Mexico.. yeah fantastic, brilliant, topical, amusing comments there fhead... OMG. If ever see 'Baz' in person I am going to kick him in the face that absolute tool. - As usual we enjoyed not one but two periods of the books completely stopping to conceded an avalnche of goals. It must be part of our punishment for them to show they can match it with anyone for 50-75% of a football game and get absolutely murdered in the other parts. This is clearly a mental/emotional syndrome and that is all you need to know about whether or not Craig should be any chance of staying on. -Grimes FFS you clanger machine. M.Jones, Viney gave us zero. Another 2 kicks for Jordie. Tapscott, Pederson hopeless. With Rodan out early you can't have that much fail in one side. hurry up and end you steaming terrd of a season
  21. I agree completely Get the best midfielder available, pay overs for it, cos we'll have to. We DESPERATELY need more of the 'real mcCoy' type players amongst this group, there is nobody setting a standard of quality for others to follow
  22. you haven't substantiated the alleged link between playing lazy/soft football and whatever the MFC has apparently done to him. FCS Neeld did not say anything unfair about him, he was trying to bring of hardness into this soft club by torching him a bit and even if he did speak out of turn, explain to me how that accounts for being lazy and soft? It is the same with these fools who talk about his debut on QB without even attempting to actually make some sort of tangible link between that day and the current day five years later. Are you people seriously suggesting that being tackled and getting a free kick in his first moments on field was such a tramatic experience he was forver scarred and petrified of going near the ball again? I mean it makes absolutely no sense. All he has to do is come out and play with some balls and some spirit, get hurt, hit a few bodies and we would all worship him for it. FCS if I was in his boat I would be 'getting my Viney on' and headbutting every available object in a desperate bid to show all my myriad of detractors that I am not in fact a complete coward.WTF is his problem, five years in? PS thanks
  23. you're excusing him on the basis of the club's shortcomings and his lack of confidence that should not explain not having a crack it's still the fundamental question
  24. yes he was much maligned for this. I told everyone that he would be under instruction to 'take them on' physically and develop that aspect of his game, now he plays the same way but he is physically mature and more experienced in how to duck/weave/bullock his way through would-be tacklers. This is a valuable lesson I feel for young blokes. If Jack Watts had been crashing packs and getting absolutely schooled from day one, maybe by now he would have learnt how to actually do it successfully.
