  2. WAterhouse is better than Jeff White huh
  3. watch your language skills32, that sort of thing is not tolerated around here at nannystate.com
  4. I really am suprised at the negativity. For all those continuing to condemn us to the bottom 3 or so.. can you please logically refute the above rationalisation? Surely I am not drawing too long a bow?
  5. but , again , every one of those would have gone at the same pick by every other club except maybe some clubs would have had Watts at #2.. and that's not even a blunder I would still happily keep Watts over the novelty act also we were well comp'd for Scully and Trengove is just another of the many to have injuries ruin a career
  6. and every single other club would have done the same there was no way of knowing his influence would be completely stifled in the big league by a complete lack of ticker
  7. Nice work Crows. Keeping a gun at your club these days is becoming a near impossibility
  8. name 20 others players THEN there's a Chris Grant
  9. Yep, it does. Not everyone shared my views on Mitch Clark when he 'retired' but look who was dead right in the end
  10. surely not. All you need to do is look at the amount of players on teams' lists that have previously played at another club. It is vastly disproportionate to 10 years ago, hell even 5 years ago.
  11. oh really? what part of that post is inaccurate.. much less deserving of a condescending headshake from Bunk Moreland?
  12. seriously, what is the percentage of players that demonstrate any loyalty whatsoever these days? It's almost non-existent now. Even for blokes like Vney and Grimes I would not be surprised to see them leave for coin.
  13. It's a chance to make a boatload of cash and retire at 30, to play the game of footy as your 9-5 and experience the glory and the spectacle of being on stage for a sport that has an audience of 800,000 members It's a dream for a very privileged few It's only a period of your life in your 20s, I can't fathom why anybody, from any background would elect to walk away from it
  14. these whispers have an awful habit of coming to fruition 11 months later
  15. Carlton Win 81-58 23 Adelaide Win 70-67 3 Essendon Win 78-77 1 Richmond Win 91-74 17 St Kilda Loss 51-68 17 Gold Coast Loss 78-86 8 Western Loss 83-99 16 Port Adelaide Loss 75-95 20 Western Loss 85-91 6 Port Adelaide Loss 69-72 3 Well there's 8 teams there, whom we play a total of 10 matches against (dogs and saints twice) in addition to that we play GWS and Brizzy twice each I would suggest that's 14 winnable games

  17. Extremely so.. I think Farmer and Brown will be v unlucky to be out first round
  18. not 2008.. but fair call re: 2011 -> 2012.. I certainly would have made that face if somebody suggested we would go in reverse from 8.5 wins down to 4.. and only get (much) worse from there in 2013 all we can do though, in order to be able to sleep at night, is to convince ourselves that 'this time, it's different'
  19. only cost us a downgrade of pick 14 to pick 20.. correct?
  20. Dead centre. 11 wins. 10th/11th place. Rationale: 2014 MFC: 8.6 goals, 8.9 behinds, score 61 (score against = 89) 2014 AFL: 12.5 goals, 11.4 behinds, score 86 Kick 4 more goals per week and we are average Hogan and Garlett provide new avenues. Our backline is actually stronger with Lumumba and Frost for Frawley. Pick 2 and 3 might give us a little extra something also. PS It will be a cold day in hell before I give a rat's about what anybody in the media or on bigfooty has to say about this football club. PPS We lost 6 by 20 points or less. Everyone seems to overlook that. That's a total margin of about 10 goals for the year being the diff between 4 and 10 wins. That's nothing. For starters, Hogan will kick 10 without breaking a sweat
  21. Why: Because it's the right thing to do as a supporter Why Not: I could list all the reasons but I might break the internet
  22. Yes, we all talk ourselves into optimism over summer but logically and unemotionally speaking I think there is every reason to expect a jump up the ladder. On-field it's essentially Frawley for Lumumba, Garlett, Frost, Hogan.... pick2, pick3... Newton, Stretch We also have Goodwin around the place now, hopefully that helps 2013: 66 - 122 : 56 point loss 2014: 61 - 89: 28 point loss The AFL average game score in 2014 was 86 points, if we can get 4 more goals a week on the scoreboard I reckon we will close to 100.00% , which should mean about 11 wins theoretically, which is around 10th on the ladder Given we lost 6 by 20 points or less I think this is reasonable.
  23. Sorry mate, we had some good times together but it had to come to an end. My heart belongs to Naomi now.
