I'll believe it when I see it "I simply want to coach the team that is the hardest to play against in the AFL" "That means all over the ground we're going to be the hardest to play against. There will be a number of components that come with that." - Mark Neeld, September 17, 2011

so would M.Jones, Toumpas, Riley and Michie. All of them are very replaceable/surpass-able

How the F does a bloke slip 20-30 spots and land at the same pick and same club as his brother, has to be fate -
Seriously helped by some very good luck, something that has eluded this club too much in recent years
-
Watch out for the PETRACCATTACK LOL
-
I'd say both CP and AB are big chances.. mainly because they have the size. They'll only need to prove themselves in the pre-season to be more valuable than M.Jones, Michie, Riley et al.
-
Nice gets for the Dons, he looks awesome
-
incorrect. If any player taken from pick 4 onwards, for the entire draft, is looking better than either of these guys at any stage of their careers (an almost certainty) , then people will absolutely be saying that, including some on this board.
-
It's absolute rubbish as you'd expect.. lots of plugging of sponsors, spouting of cliches and the bleeding obvious, boofheads in suits saying nothing of importance
-
They both looked huge didn't they? 186 and 187 cm and bulky as hell
-
what is this psych test anyway? Bunch of inkblots followed by some 'tell me about your mother' type questions? How do you fail it? They ask if you like to work hard and you say 'no'? Surely everybody knows the answers they are supposed to give and they just give them whether they mean it or not. How would you like to be the useless cretin who gave an assessment of Franklin, nice job mate on the other hand, I wonder what type of assessments were made for Liam Jurrah? What about Mitch Clark? 'Are you a disloyal backstabbing pig?' 'No of course not' 'very well then sir thank you for your time' as you can tell I do not have a lot of respect for the psychological community nor Mitch Clark

Pretty sure it is 7pm
-
Agreed. Viney, Tyson, Brayshaw is not enough to compete with the best. If you get smashed in the middle it doesn't matter who you have up forward. All our other midfielders are NQR/injured/nearing the end - simple as that
-
yeah I didn't mean it as a critique on the club for not drafting martin.. those picks, like the other 5 (mclean, sylvia, watts, morton, toumpas) we have had in the top5 over the last decade were all auto-selections and absolutely no surprise to anyone at the time.
-
Good point - with all the talk of us trying to get Dangerfield/J.Kennedy you wonder if that bigger midfield type is the one to go for, the one Roos prefers
-
I would add to it that for the next 10 years the pendulum will swing back and forth between the Saints being recruitment geniuses and absolute dummies
-
The aforementioned 'Gods' being P.Jackson, P.Roos, S.Goodwin etc
