  1. Wonder who Howe has signed with for next year?
  2. Don't worry guys, this game is meaningless.
  3. Weak as [censored], Melbourne.
  4. Who's your favourite genius: James Hird or James Joyce?
  5. Actually.......that could work. Brisbane need some marketability in the Queensland market. Howie taking a screamer every second week guarantees them at least a small amount of 'feel-good' time on the news each week. Arguably worth much more to Brisbane than to us. We've had 10 years of pox with some amazing screamers. Marks have got us as many members as they're going to.
  6. Depends whether Essendon keep Dodoro or if he gets traded to Carlton.
  7. Neeldy and Craigy recovered enough to help coach Essendon this seas.....oh.
  8. Now where have I heard that before?
  9. Didn't anybody tell Port Adelaide that they had nothing to play for?
  10. Apologies, this was probably worded horribly on my part - blind MFCSS rage may have taken over. However, the situation further illustrates the main point of the thread: questions have to be asked. If he couldn't get the team up, considering the first quarter (and subsequent fightback) against North, and given their win earlier in the season, what is wrong with this group? Is it a coaching issue? Is it the players? If so, why were there only 2 changes for this week - Jetta (injured) and M Jones (who at least looked like he tried)?
  11. Look at it this way. If he's a DFA, would he be better than ND pick 70+? I would suggest yes. If we have to trade picks to the Lions, they would be asking, what, a 2nd-round pick? 3rd-round? That would require some head scratching. I'd be inclined to say no, but not straight away. Maybe arrange for a trade of some picks? I mean, we absolutely need someone who plays his role. Grimes' disposal is dubious, Howe just looks like he doesn't care, and nobody has any idea what Lumumba does. It all boils down to who is still on our list. We'd be crazy not to enter discussions with his management. Edit: Having re-read stmj's post, I realise I misread, and put words in his mouth. My apologies.
  12. From that same article: MELBOURNE coach Paul Roos says his players looked like they were already on their footy trip after an unacceptable performance against the Western Bulldogs Surely it's the coach's job to ensure the team are ready to play the game, and ensure that doesn't happen? I know he did acknowledge that, but at what point will he take responsibility? After we get beaten by 10 goals against GWS in round 23?
  13. When Jack Viney is ready, he'll be our next captain. Lock it in.
  14. Damn, my SysAdmin has blocked Bomberblitz.
  15. If that plays a part, there definitely needs to be an investigation into the football department. We all make mistakes, admit them, move on.
  16. Is it at all possible for the Club to just stop using this phrase? http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-08-17/column-dees-must-keep-fighting
  17. What? He's played less than one sub-standard season under Roos. If he isn't dropped this week, there is something horribly wrong.
  18. If we ditch Garland but keep Howe, I am fair dinkum done with this club. (Edit: I'm fine with ditching both, to be clear.)
  19. I left renewing my membership until the last possible day in 2015. Justified it by telling myself the club needs all the members it can get. Yesterday made me question why I even bothered. I'm sick of a team being paid exactly the same as every other to come out and not care at all. Good luck for memberships in 2016, Melbourne. You're gonna need it.
  20. This is exactly why Roos' tenure should be under question. He's survived two years on hope. We're all sick of hope. Time for results.
  21. Says who? I can only see '6' in the W column. If anyone can lose to Carlton, it's this pathetic excuse of an AFL team.
  22. So because the club's receptionist had the sniffles, we lost by 98 points. MFC excuses at their best.
  23. I didn't think he had, either. But, yes. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-08-16/tiring-demons-looking-for-the-year-to-finish-says-roos Edit: 1 minute into the embedded video.
  24. Bump. "I didn't see it coming." - Mark Neeld, round 1, 2012 "I didn't see it coming." - Paul Roos, round 20, 2015
