  1. I wish he had of done the time trial !
  2. Please note times were not given....refer MFC website later. Blease ran near last but ahead of Kingy....both put in....Blease vomiting after finish....at least he is putting in..doing his best.and he can kick...
  3. Haven't the foggiest - however, we & many other clubs do their 3k time trials there. It maybe the trip they make is close to the 3k. Also the MFC have got previous runs @ the same spot to compare... I will be there, so I will ask Josh or Todd why?
  4. Been advised by the club that time trials will be conducted on Friday @ Princess Park @ 7.45 am. I guess players in rehab will not perform re Dawes, Clark, Hogan etc ... but will be very interesting the report from Matt Burgan re our MFC website .
  5. The big issue in the forward line is finding a small whom can rove of the packs...Blease or Tapscott or Kent seem the likely choices till another comes along re young Kennedy Harris or Salem.
  6. Agree--- need to get our priorities right & a tall defender is my first priority - as is right now.
  7. No way Fitzie would make a Backman...too clumsy & not skilled enough.
  8. Fair effort from Timmsy but, my team is a little different. B: Terlich McDonald Dunn HB: Grimes. Frawley Garland C: Watts Vince Toumpass HF: Howe. Dawes. M.Jones FF: Hogan. Clark. Blease R: Jamar. Trengove. N.Jones I: Viney. Gawn. Tyson Cross
  9. I watched him play Under 18's and now train with us-- he reminds us a little (skillset wise) of Jeff Farmer, but without the flamboyancy ans spontaneous aspects..however he is an actor of sorts.
  10. I would love to a have a wager on it...he trained hard today, very impressive- the best he has trained ever IMO. Taylor overlooked him along with Todd Viney..I say he's in. We will see Wed. We will also recruit a tall back..Joel .Tippett is all the talk.I know they talked to Ryan Ferguson about him.
  11. A great report. I was also there, Dawes left the training track with Riley to go swimming and exercise away from the are surface. Fitzy was also there early but was sent home ill. It was reported that some of the staff stated they did not want the whole club to get a bug right now. I have watched the opening sessions of the past 20 preseasons and never have I seen a more relaxed, fit group - full of chatter and confidence than this morning. Rawlings took the man aspects of skill training. Jack Viney has turned his hair into a ginger look. Jetta trained strongly with the group ... I would say he is an odds on favourite to be picked up by us in the rookie draft.
  12. I would like Scharenberg or Sheed . Or a smokie.....Jones.
  13. I agree somewhat with your opinion/s in this regard. In watching training ( have not missed the opening training in the last 15 years.).Nev just does not have his attitude fully switched on .Knowing his position was on the line, I would ave thought he would have prepared himself for opening day in absolute pristine condition,he wasn't - therefore leaving the room for another.Does not deserve a rookie position IMO.
  14. I concur, your thoughts I agree with.Don and the board did an almighty job overall. However, sadly they supported the wrong man in the job as CEO,CS.Cam, is a looser whom should have not accepted a new contract, when he did..shoud have resigned..He put himself first before the club...and whilst he preached on Wednesdays whiteboard ..he could not put into place what he proposed should be done in principal. Could not put in place the talk & in the end IMO, not walk the walk....very very disappointing..he let himself down and all of us...
  15. You are correct in my opinion.
  16. I think we have completed our trades for this year.I rate it as excellent- a grat mix of maturity with potential. To complete our list, we need the best pick for our Ist pick in the National Draft.--No.9 then we need to try to grab another tall back to develop.Congrats to Todd and the team
  17. Surely he would not be bad value sitting in a forward pocket along side Clark at Full Forward ?
  18. Agree-- you can afford a country membership....
  19. Wrong again, as usual you go off half cocked...AFL to pay bills, to get the club functioning properly.
  20. Firstly thank you for your kind thoughts, secondly as long as the rookies are picked up by grand final week ..that is ok with me.. All the best for the finals, if you do not meet me Regards JCB
  21. Two rounds to go and trading to cease this Sunday night for trading sees coaches need to cover urgently their keepers for 2014. They will need to keep 2 senior ( best) players along with (2) rookies born in1992 or later. I believe this matter is urgent to gain best players for each coach to qualify to play in 2014. The above are rules implemented by JA last year. All the best to each coach- not only to gain best team but also for the rest of this season. Heading to China soon for further treatment therefore may not be able to wish my opponents all the best later in the finals. But be prepared for me still to be competitive and I can assure you I will give my best Regards to all JCB
  22. Mitchell is a star in the making...a dead set megastar...similar type I saw play in this year's Under 18's was Taylor... I would make a go at him, Round 2....
  23. You will...you will be playing off or nearby. Two major forwards you missed badly...Harry O..always a good solid earner..the positional changes will be a major actor for me this week.If not will be in the hunt for for a defender...Varcoe maybe the go....as well. Best the luck for finals unless you meet me....Robbo is looming as the dark horse and wants to improve his team further..good luck to him.Robbo has always been amongst the best...still, my aim is to make the top 4 - I have ever missed so far.....that is, every year we have had the Norm Smith league, I have been in the top4, that is my current aim. If Ican get over Jacko this week, I should achieve it. Regards JCB 31.....
