  1. Very interesting to hear Bailey on Foxtel Thursday night state Jamar would or maybe used as a tall forward this year. Possibly changing on the forward line inter changing in the ruck instead of the bench.
  2. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...30/default.aspx shows all clubs . MELBOURNE Break starts: December 18 Return: January 4 Youngsters Colin Garland (foot stress fracture) and Sam Blease (leg) are progressing, but the club is taking a cautious approach with Garland's injury. Blease has been running and involved in handball/kicking drills. Brad Green (wrist) and Matthew Warnock (ankle) are back into training after their injuries shortened their 2009 seasons. Austin Wonaeamirri was training strongly until a hamstring injury set him back last week. Second-year Demons Jamie Bennell and Neville Jetta are also looking good on the track, and Cale Morton and Jack Watts have added five and six kilograms respectively. Jack Grimes is training with the midfield and looks set to spend further time there in 2010. Pity our own website (melbournefc ) cannot keep us up to date.
  3. So true- as well as he had the indigenous boys as well.
  4. I wonder what the role pertains as GM of commercial operations. Does Peter take over the role from John Poulakakis . Please advise
  5. That maybe so - but is irrellevant to this thread.
  6. Suggest to contact the club on Ph. (03) 9652 1111 PO Box 254 East Melbourne Victoria 8002 [email protected] after the 6th January whom will let you know where training is and even may get Liam to meet with you. Ask for Sarah Baker who will no doubt help you as much as she can.
  7. You maybe and most probably right- however it would not hurt to have a re think- is all I am recommending or requesting..
  8. In closing off this thread with regards to the finalised list this week, I analysed the lists and feel our major weakness is a tall experienced forward, in particular, since we made Newton a rookie. In looking at other lists we may or should look for someone similar to a O'hAilpin from Carlton, Reid or Dawes from Collingwood,Dowler or Lisle at Hawthorn or a Tom Lynch at St Kilda , although some of these players mentioned do not have seior Afl experience. The rest of the list seems very balanced with Backline, mids ,Rucks well & truthfully covered.
  9. Hawthorn would not be happy right now with regards the possible retirement of Croad.
  10. Do not know- as stated as per Hollywood's post on Demonology
  11. what with simon buckleys apparent amazement at the different workloads, and indeed work rates, of north melbourne and Collingw&%$ compared to us, and now this, it makes us sound like a bunch of mollycoddled sissies as per Hollywood's post on the17th December definately highlights why I think the club requires a review however the summation on Wonaeamirri's injury shows that he has had a review which seems continuous. Happy and safe festive season to all.
  12. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...92/default.aspx shows what Moloney thought of the camp and highlighted Jordie Grysberts determination which indeed will help him along with all others in laying down a tremendous foundation for 2010
  13. Thanks for trying however I'm more confused- Why Hawthorn has- 1 more than us.
  14. Can someone please explain to me how our list works.? Noticed Hawthorn have 39 in final senior list and 8 Rookies. Adelaide have-40 Senior/7 rookies, similar to Collingwood. Therefore why do we have only a total of 46. PLEASE EXPLAIN-THANKS http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...55/default.aspx
  15. Whilst the Colleewobbles go to Arizona & we to Mansfield- is it very good spot for our fitness re altitude etc..? Or would it be more a bonding session.
  16. Yesterday the team battled the heat to climb Mt Buller- today more hard yards up in Mansfield to finish the year. Taken from Demon HQ
  17. As normal it said SOON
  18. Very good point- I don't think they did
  19. Just informed that our players left today for camp at one of our members properties. Same one as last year.Told that our website will have updates , Foxtel & Herald Sun have been invited. Therefore, we may gain an insight into it
  20. Great thread- interesting to note that 23 players have changed from 2007 list to 2010 list. I believe the current list looks stronger through its versatility & strength.
  21. What a pick up- mentioned on SEN this morning , he was the pick of the draft- OX earlier thought he was a Rd2 pick in the National Draft. Background-Football career He was recruited through the 2003 Rookie Draft (QLD Zone) from Mt Gravatt. He was elevated to the senior list at the end of the 2003 season and made his debut for the Brisbane Lions in Round 10, 2004 against Melbourne. Early in the 2006 season Macdonald injured his Anterior cruciate ligament, which resulted in him missing the remainder of 2006 and the first half of the 2007 season. The 2008 season was considered to be the best career performance for Joel MacDonald.[1] However he was once injured again towards the mid 2008 season which Brisbane Lions missed out on AFL finals action. After the 2009 AFL season the Brisbane Lions delisted Macdonald along with 11 other players. On December 15th, 2009, Macdonald was drafted to Melbourne with pick 1 of the Pre-Season Draft. Therefore before this: Macdonald attended Brisbane Grammar School from 1999-2002 As Bailey coached at Port Adelaide in 2002 & Miller was with us- he would not have been either coached by Bails or team mate of Mills.
  22. Agree totally- needs to really put in- or out the door. Hopefully has been given kicking coaching as seems to lack total confidence in this .If he had of kicked goals instead of points we may not have been talking like this.
  23. Support your points totally- He may even find himself playing with Casey 2nds teaching Gawn how to play- or the other way around. However, sincerely hope he can turn his future around. One thing for sure MFC do not need 5 ruckman- therefore Messon or Johnson will go at end of next season,is my prediction.
  24. Also agree- we will need to look at our tall backline at Casey with Faulks & Silvagni now gone.
  25. Gee - just shows how wrong was I as well as others. Just shows why BP & others went for best picks rather than needs. All recruitors must not havethought much of the Full forward types- Temel not picked up at all-went poorly in State screening & Panos- picked up Rookie 3rd round by Bulldogs. Don't mind having a Temel pie in my face. I'll be following his future. However, very surprised Selection #10 – Jake Melksham-Essendon ,whom was voted best on ground , just ahead of Temel - whom kicked 5 in Grand Final are miles apart. Interesting, how our brains work.
