Our biggest issue is...
Our biggest issue is that our second tier players haven’t really improved this year, and we haven’t added anything new. Geelong have added DeKoening, and Stengel and Atkins has improved out of sight. Sparrow, Rivers, Spargo, ANB, Bowey, Jackson, Harmes etc never dominate games. It’s always the same players, Oliver, Petracca , Gawn , May etc etc Even Salem and Langdon aren’t as good. Brayshaw is probably the only one I give credit to, and that’s out of necessity of him going down back, but he is a true warrior anyway so it’s no surprise.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I think we need to find a way to get Bowey into that side . We were badly beaten when the ball hit the ground in the Dogs forward line and we just don’t seem to have that small mop up sweeper

My 3 word player analysis V Bulldogs
Worst 3 word analysis of the year.

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I thought we were pretty good for most the night, bar a patch in the third and the last. Also thought our forward line functioned well, with 4 to Fritsch 3 to weed and 2 to Melksham. English did kill us in the air , and Ugle Hagen was an unlikely match winner for them. Salem has been pretty poor in every game since his return and needs to be dropped for a Bowey or Hunt, as they owned it at ground level in their 50. That loss hurt and a pivotal moment was when Fritsch ironically chose to be unselfish instead of snapping what could have been the winner.

CASEY: Rd 18 vs Footscray
Chandler and Bowey were very good today. McVee looks a classy prospect

Farewell Sam Weideman
Opportunity number 23,467 let’s hope he takes it this time.

Farewell Luke Jackson
If we do lose Jackson, would we prefer a Lobb or a Grundy?

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Just glad to get the win against a plucky Port without Clarry.

TEAMS: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
I think they have picked Melksham to try and improve connectivity with the forward line. Trac, Viney and Harmes/Sparrow/Kozzie combo in the middle, possibly Brayshaw.

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Bit surreal not having the big red monster in the middle there, but I’d definitely give Gus and even Kozzie more time in there. We could also have Vines and Trac with the bulk of the time in there along with Harmes tagging Wines.

Buddy
I think we just have to back JVR as our next tall forward coming through and recruit a decent back up ruck/forward option.

Buddy
He is just about done . Anything 500k plus is way overs

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
We just can’t seem to take a contested mark in our forward line to save ourselves. We might have to roll the dice on JVR. Cant do much worse than others we’ve tried.

NON-MFC: Round 17, 2022
Gee that was heartless from the umpire

NON-MFC: Round 17, 2022
Strange how Lobb wants to leave Freo, wonder who he has a beef with?

NON-MFC: Round 17, 2022
Collingwood brainless twits booing Stephenson when they were the ones that squeezed him out.

NON-MFC: Round 17, 2022
Seriously, David Kings commentary is making me feel ill. North are 4 goals up and all he is doing is finding all the things they are doing wrong!

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
I think there are one or two spots available if someone really can put their hand up for Casey this week. Rivers or Hunt could be back in contention or Chandler. Interesting to see which tall stands up out if JVR, Weed and M.Brown.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Another big problem for us us that our small forwards in ANB, Spargo and Kozzie (not so much) just don’t kick enough goals . Id consider resting a spargo , ANB or Bedford for another tall ? Maybe time to try JVR?? I know that wasn’t our main problem last night as they smashed us in the middle, but we still have a few issues to work out up forward.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
They out hustled us around the ball and we’re much cleaner and more desperate. I can’t believe the amount of times players who make space or who are on their own in the forward line aren’t used and instead they go for impossible angle goals , grubbers or blindly bomb it to the loose man in defense. Theyve got to be a lot calmer going forward and always give it to a player in a better position than yourself. “Play the percentages “ is something Gary Lyon used to say when he was captain.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
They owned us tonight. Their tackling pressure was insane Very smart how they made our rucks redundant almost. One mark between them!
