PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
If Fritsch and Viney are fit , then they come in for Laurie and Woewodin, which will leave Chandler as the sub as Fritter takes his spot in the forward line. Spargo and ANB are looking good as the small forwards along with a mid rotating Kozzie. McVee and Bowey have also done enough to keep their spots down back. Hibbo, Woey, and Van Rooyen emergencies.

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
I was very impressed with Bowey and ANB today, really hungry for it and good decision making. Hunters goal on the left deep in the pocket was masterful. Sparrow was much better than last week, but Harmes still goes missing a fair chunk . The ruck Combo will be a huge ask for opposition to quell, and I get the feeling it will give Maxy a new lease on life. Even Woey looked pretty good when he came on in the last. I’ve got my money on Trac for the Brownlow, early call I know , but he just looks like a primed beast

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs St. Kilda
We should see some more skillful ball movement this season , and better delivery into the forward line with Kozzie on ball and Hunter on the wing . I just watched the replay of the match again and I agree with Binman that McVee will be in the round one side , he was a real stand out. If Salem and Fritsch are back for the season opener, Harmes might be an out, but I have a feeling they want to give Chandler more of a run. Hibberd was too good for the seconds, so a couple will miss out but it’s a good problem to have. I also reckon we will see the best of Petracca more consistently this year, he is looking scary good.

Deakyn Smith and Jefferson look very classy too, beautiful movers.

Harrison Petty - KPF in 2023
Petty is a competitive beast and we don’t have one of those up forward, which is very much needed.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
They must’ve found something damning in the review to sack him like this

Farewell Oskar Baker
How many senior games did he end up playing?
- Welcome to Demonland Lachie Hunter
-
Farewell Sam Weideman
Always really liked him and hoped like hell he would succeed . Very popular around the club and a genuinely nice guy. But lacked that mean competitive streak which I hope he finds at his new club. All the best Weed.

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
They may have him earmarked for that third tall back spot if Petty goes forward
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
I wonder if the pies fans will boo Grundy or Langdon next year? or are they all Duck no Ruck?

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
We seem to be downgrading this trade period. Out Weed In poorer version of Weed Josh Schache Out Jackson In pick 13 and future picks
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
I’m still scratching my head at how we lost a generational talent who was a top three pick and Premiership star, and we didn’t even receive a pick in the top 10.

Farewell Luke Jackson
He was always going back home. Otherwise we would have tied him up with a longer deal a year ago. 7 million to go back home and play for the club you supported as a kid? Who wouldn’t take that deal of a lifetime?
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
He is not the sharpest tool in the shed to be honest.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Freo and GWS win big time in that deal Its bad enough as it is, but how did we lose Bedford for nothing?

Josh Bruce
I’d say they just want to make sure we don’t get caught short again while we are in this premiership window . Last season when TMac went down it cost us dearly and BBB has always managed an ongoing injury and could go down anytime. Personally id like us to go with a rejigged forward line using JVR and Petty ( who I really feel have the goods) and either TMac or Brown, or a Josh Bruce as that next tall.
