Even with the rules now where you basically can't even tackle a QB they still seem to be dropping like flies. Cousins joining Rodgers on the sidelines with his achilles, Stafford with his broken thumb, Deshaun Watson with his mega-contract "sore shoulder", Richardson done after a month, Danny Jones and Tyrod Taylor both out, Ridder injured/not injured - seems like if you can keep your QB healthy you're halfway to making the playoffs. And those teams who probably want to see the back of their QBs like Mac Jones and Derek Carr keep chugging on.

The Jets continue to do my head in, beat the Eagles one week and then pull out a miracle against the Tommy DeVito led Giants the following week after struggling to do anything for 59 minutes and 36 seconds. It's true though, we beat ourselves in the QF. Pies are no slouches obviously but all May was saying was it hurts seeing another team win the flag when we know we could've won it ourselves. The compromise is we typically play at home round 1. When did we last travel interstate round 1? 2020 v wce and before that I think we've only done it two more times ever.

Collingwood is the other participant on Kings Birthday but they manage to get a proper bye - they played the Sunday after giving them 13 days break vs our 10 for a Thursday night game. Just because we play certain games doesn't mean we should be punished for it. The AFL compromises the draw enough I'm sure they could figure out a way to give us a proper break over the midseason bye.
