Hopefully the Jets get something for Hall in the offseason and ride Braelon Allen the next few years.
  3. @waynewussell any Jefferson updates?

RBs tend to flame out very quickly, especially following injuries, unless they are Derrick Henry. Most have about 4 years of domination and then fall of a cliff.
  5. I don't really mind where he plays, I still think he could make a decent forward given a proper preseason and better delivery but wherever he plays he needs to start playing with a bit of mongrel and intensity. Some of the efforts last year were diabolical.

Yep Princes Park, Queens Bday 1989. Every ground in 1989 was an absolute bogheap including the G, must have been one hell of a wet winter. I remember going to this game with dad as a kid, got our "revenge" on the Hawks for 87 and 88 but revenge is a bit hollow when they've got the silverware. We got off to a flyer in 1989 then hit a wall, I seem to recall it coinciding with a Garry Lyon injury. A funny season, we lost to the Cats in round 12 at the G (the week after the Hawks win?) kicking only 2 goals for the whole game. 4 weeks later we played them at Waverley and beat them by 3 points in a bit of a shootout. I have many of these games stashed away on tape/hard drive will have to upload them to YouTube one day (assuming they're not already up).

Same thing happened twice last week, Tomlin changed his mind late in the Browns TNF game and I think it was Philly also changed their mind on accepting/declining the penalty in their game. I agree it's garbage, once you make the call you can't change back based on what you see the other team deciding to do. Funny thing is I think it actually backfired on Tomlin, they would've been better declining the penalty in that snow game and trying to win the game on that one play.

Terrible play by the Raiders but also another call going the Chiefs way at the death. That call was called offside and the play blown dead so should not have resulted in a turnover. Refs confer for a few minutes and decide to call it illegal shift instead and allow the turnover to end the game.

Every season I am astonished at how many just plain bad teams there are. Poor skills, poor coaching, stupid mistakes. Look at the Raiders just then, O'Connell takes a sack pushing them back to the 40 causing the kicker to miss the FG. Just throw it away you [censored]. And that's just one example that happened in the last 2 minutes, yesterday was a day of horrible football topped off by the Giants/Cowboys game.

Yes father sons create an imbalance too but not to the same extent as academy picks which help regenerate the list with top players every other year. Without their academy selections they wouldn't have made the 2022 or 2024 GFs.

Yes but also propped up with academy picks through that time. Heeney, Mills, Blakey three of their best players they otherwise wouldn't have had. Gulden too?

100%!! Been saying for some time now, skill position players mean nothing without a good O-line. O-Line is the most important unit on the team, even a good QB will do nothing if he is constantly under pressure or running for his life. You must build from the inside out, these [censored] teams drafting rookie QBs high and then watch them run for their life, setting them up for failure.

Bosa is out too. Madden curse has extended to the entire team. Combined with the Superbowl loser curse the 9ers were on a hiding to nothing this year.
