No it's not. Yes we won a flag, but it was during a covid season when clubs were hubbing etc so the benefit or otherwise of our facilities was significantly reduced. Yes a kg is a kg but looking at our history and the comments from past players it is clear having substandard/shared facilities is not how a modern professional organisation should be run. Additionally, relying on facilities in the boondocks of Casey significantly hampers our ability to recruit in players. All things being equal, if a player has a choice between us, Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond or even Footscray, Essendon, St Kilda or North we are at a disadvantage when looking solely at the training facilities and the commute that would be required. It is ridiculous this situation has been allowed to continue for so long. I think Caulfield is less than ideal but far more preferable than what we have now (should it come to fruition).

Clear as day. The VFL/AFL has always been run by special interests, the Commission/Executive was meant to remove club influence but if people think it's not still there they have rocks in their head.

Maybe in the old days you could say "D needs to hold up" but the game/rules are so heavily skewed to the offense these days it's unfair not to allow a team a possession.

The Rams have been pretty poor the last few weeks since beating Buffalo but just seem to keep finding ways to win in low scoring games. 13-9 vs Arizona, 19-9 vs Jets and 12-6 vs the 9ers, with Cupp, Nakua and Higbee plus Kyren Williams at RB they should be putting up bigger scores against these types of teams. Stafford seems to have hit a wall.

I can't imagine the Giants throwing away the top pick but Richardson is out and Colts starting Flacco. Although Flacco is probably auditioning for a contract next year so has something to play for I guess.

Exactly, making a Prelim was a par the last 3 seasons and we failed to reach those expectations.

It's the Geelong model although we've gone through the draft more than trading in players. Building underneath while still relying on your ageing stars to be the match winners. I see no reason why we can't rebound and challenge again but I'm hopeful more than I am optimistic.

Also Pies and Cats have a history of rebounding after poor seasons while we have a history of being in the wilderness for years (decades!) at a time.
