KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Kozzie won't be skipper, hates the media stuff like Dusty at Richmond. Turner or McVee are a long way off, decent young players but what are you basing their leadership credentials on?

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
If they are backended it is to stop players getting paid early and then asking to be traded out - this is what Ablett Jr did after getting paid by the Suns on a frontloaded contract.

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Would be nice to see him given a go to cement his place in the team. I don't know who else could've been dropped for Viney without shuffling things around too much so I kind of get it but I think he's started to show a bit more this year just needs to find more of the footy. His West Coast and Collingwood games were ok but he was dropped after both (sub after the WCE game then dropped).

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Kolt stiff again Petty lucky again, if he keeps playing I'll be pulling my hair out at his soft attempts at contest and end up with a bald patch worse than his

You're probably not wrong but I'm still glad we signed him.

Swapping Petty & Disco's Roles?
I presumed it's based on position. Petty would be classified as a key forward/defender whereas Turner would be classified as a general forward/defender. So average/above average vs the rest of the competition in those positions.

PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
@binman agree 100% on Spargo we need his delivery inside 50. Also needs to get more of it but still valuable and often overlooked by his teammates when free which is very frustrating as often he is in good position.

Swapping Petty & Disco's Roles?
Turner forward, TMac back, Petty Casey

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
So rapt with this news, the contract is fine for me, 9 years is long but he's only 23! The dollars will be fine too by 2030 it won't be that extravagant. Locking him in for the next decade is so important, when clubs lure players from other clubs they would say "that's what you have to offer to attract players" well it's the same here, that's what you have to do to keep players. The move into the midfield this year has proved he can be one of the comps elite players not just a pinch hitter up forward. Love ya Kozz and my kids were ecstatic that he signed too. Was worried they would find out what it felt like when Farmer left 😔

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
The only thing that surprises me is they say it with a straight face PS we never should've helped Collingwood out of that terrible contract. I remember seeing the back of the paper when he signed and laughing my [censored] off.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Dunno if it's been answered already but what's to say Koz would want to sign in 12 months? At that's stage, if he was wanting out, he would just wait it out another 12 months til FA.

Harrison Petty
Agree 100%. Turner will be a very good defender but he has shown he could be a very good forward as well. We have a plethora of marking/intercept options in defense and not much marking targets up forward. Have a very good defense is great but if you can't kick goals you will keep coming unstuck. When Turner was shifted forward against the Eagles at halftime he kicked 3 goals and helped turn the game.

Congratulations Garry Lyon - Inducted into AFL Hall of Fame.
That 94 SF will be talked about but his 88 finals series as a 20(?) year old kid was exceptional. Won the game in the dying minutes against West Coast, snagged a couple of great goals against the Pies in a lowish scoring game and kicked a barrel from the centre square at a wet Waverley in the Prelim against Carlton (kicked another great one from the pocket too). It's no coincidence that our tumble down the ladder in mid-89 coincided with his injury. He was the ultimate team player, willing to go wherever the coach needed him to try and drag the Demons over the line.
