  1. Howe is the definition of "trade bait" - Watts, I seriously don't know whether we'sd get anything to make it worthwhile. Possibly a worse no. 1 draft pick than Josh Fraser.
  2. Haha nice goal Salem, good stuff young man.
  3. Jones been quiet too
  4. More like Jeremy Where???
  5. Who would've thought the Gieschen-era would be looked back upon fondly? Seriously watch them come out and say "nothing's changed in the directions to the umpires since last week" - I've been stuck on the couch the last couple of days sick so I've seen pretty much all the games start to finish and the umpiring in all has been pathetic and has clearly changed since last week. Love to see the AFL defend it.
  6. To be fair it was mostly Essendon supporters, most Melbourne supporters had left and those that remained were in total shocked silence.
  7. Can they review the hand on Jamar's shoulder while they're reviewing the goal?
  8. I'm watching on TV and he has been f'ing pathetic, I'd sub him off although apparently we can't because his feelings would get hurt.
  9. On their current output I'd take another Pedo in the team before even considering Watts. Good goal Dawesy cmon Dees we're in this! They are much cleaner but we're having a crack. Holding the ball rule is an absolute joke
  10. Shat himself once dropped a sitter in front as he expected contact from behind. Refuses to tackle and run at the player with the ball, content to just corral the opposition. Not hard enough, probably baulks at his own shadow. Had enough, send him back to Casey til he can prove he's got what it takes to play senior footy.
  11. The fact he has the runs on the board and is a respected person, let alone footy figure, certainly helps. The players have belief in Roos because he has results on the board and he is obviously a very good communicator also. Neeld didn't seem to have great communication skills and the players had no faith that he knew what he was doing.
  12. Don't worry mate the tide WILL turn and when it does it will feel even better. Hopefully he got to go to the Carlton game a couple of weeks back. Once we're back playing finals and we get some decent crowds watching us play decent footy he'll be hooked.
  13. Surely you can understand when judging out performance this year it's not just about where we are but where we are going. Last year we were going backwards at a million miles an hour this year we are on the right track but it will take time. Oh and the reason Neeld didn't have guys like Vince, Cross, Georgiou is because he recruited guys like Gillies, Rodan & Pedersen so it's his fault anyway.
  14. 1991 out at Waverley Cuthbertson kicked 7 for the 2nd week in a row and Bennett 5!
  15. Pretty sure he said the former while trying to imply the latter and was called out on it by Garry Lyon.
  16. Haha perfect description.
  17. Was he actually paid last year? Was it on a "rookie" contract? Not sure how that all works, considering he couldn't actually play for us I assume whatever he got would not have been included in the salary cap.
  18. Haha can't believe people still ambulance chasers like him and Hutchy seriously. Their job is to drum up controversy by talking [censored] most of the time. Would believe something written by an anonymous poster on here before a believed a word of [censored] that dribbled from his pie-hole.
  19. This year we needed to build a solid foundation to work from, get our culture right, get the players heads right and get a workable game plan/structures in place. I have faith that this is occurring and believe we will show on-field improvement in the second half of the season which will give uis a solid foundation to build from heading into next season. It's not ideal, we should be aiming for finals and premierships every single season, but the reality is this is where we are at. We need to get the foundations right so that in the future that is where we can be, where the likes of Hawhtorn, Geelong, Sydney, Collingwood, West Coast etc are now
  20. Pretty sure it's up to the kid if he wants to nominate for F/S for either club?
  21. Swans will be difficult but not out of the realms of possibility, I'm writing off any SA games for now, Dogs & Tigers both very winnable.
  22. Also had a great run leading into the '98 finals, pretty sure he kicked 6 goals in each of the R22 game vs Richmond, the QF vs Adelaide and the SF vs St. Kilda (may have been only 5 in one of those). But yeah the 2000 game vs Collingwood is still one of the best individual performances I have seen from a player in a half of footy. Took a speccy late in the last as well and had a relatively easy shot to make it 10 goals but unfortunately missed.
  23. Good initiative, I was just thinking yesterday "why is there no footy on Thursday night" - out of all the weeks you'd think last week (before Good Friday) and this week (before ANZAC Day) would've been monties.
  24. What you think is irrelevant...
  25. The club told us how the injuries pesented themselves. I am basing my conclusions off information received through Josh Mahoney.
