Training Ground?
Because we are a part of the MCC and the MCG is our home - the other teams are just tenants. There is minimal pressure on the surface these days, one training run a week isn't going to do any damage.

Training Ground?
Not with an attitude like that!

Potential priority pick for Kangas
A priority pick at the end of first round wouldnt be a huge deal. The Swans bank too 5 priority picks every year through their academy and noone seems to really care. The Dogs got the number 1 pick last year after playing finals. The draft is completely compromised l don't have a problem with a team like North getting a PP.

Norm Smith-What happened in 1965
Yep I'd only ever seen the snippet on the 100 Years of Footy doco from 1996 from memory the video linked above has a longer segment but the entire show would be great viewing. When I think of the amount of content consigned to the scrapheap over the years by the broadcasters and the league it makes me cry. If only the VFL had a Steve Sabol/Vince McMahon type in charge who knew the value of keeping ownership of and storing the video catalogue of the sport. Can you imagine the streaming service the AFL could have? Such a shame.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
Yet Trac got pinged twice in extremely unlucky circumstances. First time he collected the footy, was tackled and the ball spilt free almost all simultaneously. The second time the ball was basically knocked into his lap and he was tackled instantly with no chance of the ball coming out yet he was pinged for not making a sufficient attempt nevermind the fact the ball was never coming out and it should've been a ball up.

His pressure has been elite all year. Look at the way he tackles, guys way bigger than him can't escape his grip. Reminds me of Michael Long when he first burst on the scene in 89/90.

I read that as Paul Salmon originally and thought "I didn't realise the big Fish was so eloquent"

Thanks for linking to my YouTube account I have a tonne of MFC videos/games that I plan on uploading at some stage when I finally get time - a lot have been uploaded to YouTube over the years but I think there's still quite a few that aren't up yet

I'm sure there would be other ex-players who would hold an opposite view You don't flirt with form, particular in our situation. Perhaps if we'd already been up for a couple of years yeah, sure but not after 1/3 of a good season in 3 years.

Membership 2021
Basically it will cost $39 once you get the $50 credit - hope plenty take this up, would be great to see the figures start bumping up over 50k. Are the MCC sending this out in targeted email?

Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
It's not so much Carlton I'm worried about, it's the Dogs. If they get first touch at centre clearances and move the ball under little pressure our defenders won't stand much of a chance. Bont, McRae, Trealor will carve us up.

Dees Most Consecutive Wins?
A full home and away season of 22 rounds in a 12 team comp only happened for 17 seasons, 1970-1986. A full home and away occurred earlier in the original 8 team comp and later 10 team (then 9 when University left) comp but from 1925-1969 I don't think there was ever a full home and away season.

Striped Socks
We've worn different socks against the Swans for years, I feel it's been going for longer than a decade

Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
It's not just losing the centre clearance. It's losing the centre clearance and the opposition being allowed to run it out under no pressure. Losing it but applying pressure resulting in hack kicks forward for Lever/May/Hibberd to chop off isn't so much of an issue. Letting them waltz out and spot up target inside 50 is.

Did Oliver start doing this vs GWS as a way to break the de Boer tag? I can't remember him starting so wide prior to that. Might be time to get him back to the drop of the ball, especially while Viney's out.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
I love him but I wish he'd get the flopping out of his game. You're good enough to just play the ball Kozzie, no need to play for frees.

Such a cool head, always settles us down when the other team gets a run on especially early in games.

I I was screaming for Jackson to go in the ruck early in the 4th, we've been much better in recent weeks when he's in the middle.

Swans are always a hard game, I bloody hate playing them. They play to the final siren too so you can't relax until the games done
