  1. Not sure about the minutes but Brayshaw started in the centre square at the first bounce. Viney, Oliver and Brayshaw with Petracca up forward
  2. I hope it's confidence and not bathwater
  3. Jesus guy can't take a break! Just came back from a fractured cheekbone after years of foot injuries
  4. An 8 goal win is par. Not unhappy but not doing cartwheels. This game was enjoyable to watch especially the last quarter and especially seeing some key players stand up. But it doesn't mean anything much other than a regulation 4 points. Bank another regulation 4 points on Sunday with another 8 goal win and then I want to see how they go in the month after that. That will show where this team is at.
  5. The umps clearly got on the Crows at $3 just like I did. That umpiring was worse than anything I've seen in WA over the years, land of the home cooked umpiring. I reckon Weid is coming on really well. Pretty unconvincing win for me even for 50 pts - it was really just the last quarter the first 3 quarters were pretty rubbish except for Viney and Oliver.
  6. The problem is if the player (ie Brayshaw/Harmes) offers us little when they're not in the midfield we still have a problem. They need to be able to contribute when they are on the wing/flanks otherwise they are just list cloggers.
  7. The guy who almost single-handedly willed us over the line against the Lions?
  8. We'll be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for Brayshaw and no-one is giving up anything for Sparrow. He would be a delist not a trade.
  9. Oliver is nowhere near a generational player. He has a long way to go, needs to hurt the opposition with his disposal and start hitting the scoreboard. At the moment he is a decent starting mid and nothing more, would be lucky to crack the top 100 in the comp.
  10. So who makes way for Brayshaw in the middle? Petracca Oliver or Viney?
  11. That is completely different. Libba probably the only true "grunt" in that lot.
  12. He's not wrong, the problem is we won't trade Oliver and Brayshaw has minimal trade value.
  13. As bad as Hannan has been I would've rather kept him in the side over Brayshaw. At least Hannan bobs up every 3 or 4 games with a couple of goals, Brayshaw has done nothing for a year and a half
  14. It's not working
  15. How the f--- is Brayshaw still getting a game? He has been putrid
  16. I see Brayshaw is still getting a game. That probably answers your question.
  17. And good luck to him too.
  18. Which is why it's hard to lay the blame solely at Goodwin's feet. There are things he can do better of course but when the players stink it up like they did last Thursday you could have Norm Smith in the box and it wouldnt matter

  20. On the article, I didn't think it was much of a deep dive. Pretty lightweight overall, only really reiterated what most people already know about our issues and didn't offer any thoughtful solutions.
  21. So who is the midfield coach? Mathews? Or is Plapp pulling double duty?
  22. I thought he was our midfield coach? Either way I don't think he's good enough
  23. We've played in our home state 3 times
  24. Exactly - the way we were dissected in the Prelim as well as against Richmond, Hawthorn and Collingwood earlier in the year should've been enough to warrant a review. I said at the time (at the beginning of the Goodwin thread) that he needed help with a better team if assistants around him. 30 months on and we still have Plapp, Chaplin, Rooke and Egan not to mention Mahoney in key roles despite little evidence to indicate they are actually good at their roles! And that's without even mentioning the lack of a forward coach.
