If they haven't even identified one specific site that they are looking at developing after all these years then what the bloody hell is going on?? Not saying that is the case as we haven't heard anything but surely they have at the very least the location bedded down by now!

Both things could be true. He may have met with Carlton while never really considering leaving Melbourne. In his head he probably was never going to actually leave even if he did meet with Teague.
-
But it's not in the MCG precinct?

Yeah reread it after I responded and realised that's what you meant - you were too quick for my ninja edit tho haha

Sign him up please ?

He's such a strong tackler for a small guy. Check his tackle on the much larger Henderson in the 1st quarter, outstanding technique.

2000 probably better offensively 2021 clearly better defensively and far more grunt around the contest

1994 and before that 1990

I was surprised Melksham got a gig and even more surprised it was at Sparrows expense. I thought he'd been good this year with his defensive work hopefully they back the kid in and keep him in the side now.

Our defensive structure has been outstanding all year. I could feel it against Freo with the amount of intercept marks we had, particularly with opposition kicks out of our 50 but it wasn't until the Saints game I could actually see what we were doing. It's been immense and I hope people will actually give some credit to Goodwin instead of saying "it must be Choco/Yze" - of course they'll be having an influence but I think what we're seeing is the culmination of a couple of years of Goodwin's gameplan coming to fruition and a huge part of that is the forward pressure we have with Kozzie, Spargo and ANB. Our stoppage work has improved significantly though with players keeping their width and no longer getting sucked into the contest and I think Yze can probably be given some credit for that. 33k is a poor turnout but on a crap day and playing Geelong on a late Sunday arvo it's understandable. Cats fans don't like travelling down the highway late on a Sunday and when you add in the weather it would've kept a fair few of them at home.

Agreed, I thought it was accidental at first but looking at the replay just now he definitely meant to throw his arm back. Obviously didn't mean to smash his face in but it was reckless and when you do that sometimes there are consequences like what happened to May. No way it gets looked at though.

CARNA MIGHTY DEMONS!!!!!

Who else?

Why? We already have LJ playing that role. He is an insurance policy and nothing more.

By the late 80s I'd be surprised if any players outside the VFL were good enough to qualify! VFL was far and away the premier competition by the early 80s

It's great that these kids can just work on developing their games without being thrown to the wolves if senior footy before they're ready. Such a change from where we've been for a long time

He should take a look at Darren Bennett's technique - hold the ball down as close to his boot as possible in the run up to allow for as little deviation as possible when releasing the ball from hand to boot.

Wasn't it the Hawks who had the "GT" sign?
-
Yep I've found I get far better info/discussion/banter listening to some podcasts and watching replays of games I missed over the weekend instead of listening to the radio and watching the TV panel shows.

Especially everything the club has done to support him through his medical issues (particularly his thyroid problems). Now he finally starts putting some consistent footy together you'd hope he'll do the right thing by the club.

Whitfield would be worth targeting as well (no idea of his contract situation).
-
That was in 2000 but when he first came on the scene in 1990 his tackling was a key feature of his game.
-
If you take out the 3 losses against us our oppo are 2-4 then if you remove the games they've played against each other they're 0-2. Hardly a large enough sample size to draw anything from.

"Nibbler's dribbler" was a great way to get things started a minute into the game.
