Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
I've heard that the bye is only in play because of the quarantine restrictions for WA, it's not to rest players just that they won't be allowed out.

Dees to win flag
In theory, improving our inaccuracy may actually improve our accuracy - our kicking to the wrong position may end up going to right position!

Demons NSW Hub
Will suit Goodwin's coaching, we generally don't like kicking goals anyway.

Closer to the end
This would have to be the case. I've said this before but I sent an email to the club late last year asking what further or higher membership options I could get, even what type of possible (small) sponsorship I could do. I had to follow this email up with a phone call as no one replied. The phone call went nowhere, was told that I would be contacted re this as I was talking to general membership and had to talk to someone else. Never heard back. I was trying to give the club more money and couldn't!! Compare this to my tigers supporting mate who, on an unrelated call from the club, mentioned he had a mate who was thinking about getting a tigers membership. They took the details and called him within 5 minutes of that conversation, had him the guy signed up in 10 minutes.

Closer to the end
Iโve had some time to reflect and believe we are being impatient. We are only 56 years into our rebuild, weโve got to give it time.

What has happened to Clayton Oliver?
Is he getting even more ball nowadays as teams are happy to let him have the ball as they know he will give it back to them? I know I would if I was coaching against him, similar to why teams donโt man up ruckman, their disposal usually stinks too.

Closer to the end
That is our problem right now. Football clubs sell memberships based on hope. We've had some hope at various times in the past but we just seem to snuff out the hope as quickly as it comes around. Even if we were losing but were playing exciting football there could be some excitement around the club and you could sell it to kids and get them on board. We don't have excitement, we play boring football, we continually lose and just seem to fall further and further into irrelevance. Kids, as well as most people today, want things now, they don't want to wait. What new members will accept another rebuild?

Closer to the end
I canโt see us continuing as we are. With our performance being a drain on the league, we donโt have people watch us or want to watch us. Itโs only a matter of time till we are moved on somewhere else.

Poor State of the Game
I really donโt think that dropping rotations or even players on the field will have an impact. The coaches are so heโll bent on controlling the game with their defensive measures that they will just lock the game down even more. They have to find a way to incentivise scoring as well as having more one on one contests. How you do that though u donโt know. Personally I think you need to get rid of most of the coaching staff and stop the game from being so overcoached. They would Probably find a way around it though.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
With us moving to Sydney and now (presumably) not going to play at the MCG again, probably for the rest of the season, we won't be getting the MCG money now - how much of a bigger dent will that put in our finances??
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
It probably does depend on whether other games are postponed but it's an idea out there but an unlikely one
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
I've heard an idea being that the game is being pushed back till near the end of the season, if neither team is in running for finals and no other outbreaks etc then they just scrap the game altogether.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs. Essendon
Goodwin still canโt coach. No improvement at all compared to last week. It was like he wasnโt even there!
-
Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
If they only postpone the game. Come later on in the season, you get a few injuries that aren't major, could you deliberately infect a player so that you get an extra two weeks for your players to recover? An extreme measure but it could be done!

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Out: goodwin in: anyone else

Jake Lever.. Can someone explain??
We have to sack him but we canโt. We canโt afford to pay him out.

NON MFC: Round 02
IMO it won't matter what the AFL do to change things. Coaches are so hell bent on trying to keep as much control over the game as they can. Coaches don't care if the game is good to watch, they are paid to win. I think for some of them, winning 1 to 0 would be seen as a big win defensively!. Even last night with about 10 seconds to go and Collingwood had the ball, you could see the first thought was to not give up the ball and not lose the game as opposed to moving it quickly and try to win it. Go back to only one coach, they won't be able to teach the players as well and defensive structures will break down, allowing for more scoring. It won't happen though.

NicNat on Comparisons with Watts
I knew a guy who was really close to Nic Nat and his family, was told at the time that he was only going to stay for the two years and request to go home. He was/is really close to his family.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
I also note that Essendon have got lucky, had a similar amount of post season injuries like us last year but they were given 2-3 months which has them all fit and ready to go again. We needed COVID last year!
-
NON MFC: Round 01
Was thinking the same. How can they both be playing in dark jumpers with white numbers on the back?

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
Will be interesting if the league ends up scrapping the fixture and then re-does the 'draw'. With them wanting to then maximise their takings, all the bigger victorian clubs will stay at home and the lessor drawing clubs will be sent interstate. Won't be surprised to see Richmond play almost all 17 games at the G! We will end up playing 8 interstate games... (I've no idea if it is even possible to work it like that for say Richmond and Collingwood but I reckon it will go pretty close)

Coronavirus & Other Sports
There is absolutely no doubt that we will be flying and premiership favourites when they cancel the season...

GAMEDAY: MS01 vs Adelaide
I really canโt see any change to our game. We still canโt kick and have no idea how to go inside 50.

Demon scarves
Funnily enough I have had the same done by my mother in law with our scarves. We get 4 every year and have quite the blanket collection now!
