  1. Well, that's disappointing. Beams is the only one there then. Beams or Boak? Not totally sold on Beams, but his game yesterday was amazing. Being tagged early on, 34 touches and three goals.
  2. I'd like to think this was the case, but if so, you could also say the same thing for Scully. A little biased I think. Love Clark though. Don't care if he came for money. He plays for the jumper and that's all that matters.
  3. Absolutely no foundation to think he will be at GWS next year. Just because Scully is there is not a reason.
  4. I'd be going Sidebottom before Boak. Such a gun. Only watched 10 minutes of the Pies/Eagles game, but every time he gets it, his distribution and decision making is spot on.
  5. That's the point. This is a hypothetical trade scenario. We need small crumbers, because we don't have them. Meanwhile, Jurrah can't play which role? I'm saying he could be that little bit of X-factor in the forwardline.
  6. Yeah, terrific CV. A premiership would have helped his cause. Loved him as a player though, except his kicking.
  7. Todd was a really good player, but he wasn't "a gun". He was on the cusp of B grade and A grade. Hard at it, yes. Leader? Absolutely. But his kicking would often let him down, which prevented him from being a star. I'd go as far as saying we haven't had a gun mid in my life-time (I'm 25 and wasn't old enough to see Robbie Flower play). If Jack's kicking is any better than his dad's, he might go the distance.
  8. Cloke, every day of the week. If Boak was Judd, then I'd be going that option. But a forwardline of Cloke and Clark would be seriously dangerous. Add in a fit LJ (if he ever plays again), Howe and two quick crumbers and you'd have a top forwardline. So short answer - get Cloke, draft young talented mids.
  9. Yep, no more one-pace mids. Quick mids with good skills. That's the essential.
  10. Couldn't give a toss about GWS. So very insignificant. All I care about is our players and supporters ripping into Scully. Nothing less than a win is acceptable.
  11. Well, that's the key really isn't it, DG? I reckon we might have done alright with the same draft concessions afforded to GWS and GC. They could afford to get a couple wrong due to the weight of draft picks they were handed. Meanwhile, haven't seen Cameron play yet. I suspect I will this weekend.
  12. You don't have to have iota of intelligence to stir the pot. It's the only thing he's good for though.
  13. The thing is Hawthorn set themselves up with one good draft. Franklin, Roughead and Lewis in the one draft. Draft well this time around and we could be set up for the next decade.
  14. [censored] joke. Can't afford to have the Buddy's or Swan's out of the game, but if you wear a Melbourne jumper you're deemed expendable. Blatant hit. Leigh Matthews-y.
  15. I agree, but at the moment it's plainly embarrassing.
  16. As your username would attest, RR.
  17. Couple of top quality spoils yesterday too.
  18. Or even play the Scarlett role.
  19. Yeah, it's [censored] that we could do without.
  20. Talk about playing into to the stereotype. We get the Scotch Marching Band in? Wtf? Then we don't even mic them? Another thing...whenever I've witnessed an opposition have a home game at the 'G they crank up the sound, so we have to hear every single word of theres. When Robbo presents you can never hear him. Seriously, these are simple little things that the club should be getting right. As for the trumpeter, well he's downright embarrassing when we loose every week. I could see it working in an arrogant way if the 'G was a fortress for us.
  21. It astounds me that some supporters still claim he's a great pack marker. For a bloke of his body mass, he's pathetic. That said, he usually has two or three defenders on him, as our obvious 'clear the defensive fifty arc by kicking it to Jamar' so often attests.
  22. Let's not get fancy with our possessions. Kick it on your natural foot. We barely hit targets by hand or foot as it is. No need to complicate by turning onto our left. Trengove and Watts did this yesterday as well.
  23. He got the ball and I have been a fan of Morton in the past, but jesus does he butcher it! I'd be giving him run with roles. His best two games have been against Adam Goodes as a tagger. Minimise his kicking of the ball until he gains some confidence. He can be a beautiful long kick for goal. He's low on confidence, but his turn overs were unforgivable yesterday. I'll tell you what annoys me. Why the [censored] do our players insist on running onto their weaker side and kicking it with their left? How many turn overs did that result in yesterday? A handful at least.
