  1. Sorry, I was under the illusion that this draft was still a compromised one (being that picks one and two still go to GWS and GC). Not true?
  2. I'd agree. But that's not the case, as I understand it. You're right though, because something doesn't quite add up. You don't tell the players they've got a certain coach before he's actually signed.
  3. Um, yes it will. That's exactly what it'll do. If they presented up field and ran hard to block and cover for each other, the defenders would have somewhere to kick it.
  4. Why would they be kicking it back and forth? Because the midfield won't present for them. If they just kick it long in hope (which they do quite a bit) it'll be rebounded and shot against them, because our midfield won't run.
  5. I heard it from the best mate of one of the players. Not exactly from the horses mouth, but close enough.
  6. The players were told that Ross Lyon was their coach. The next day Neeld was appointed.
  7. Yeah, agree with this. He was out for six weeks with a hammy after the Carlton game. I thought he was on his last legs. I don't know the inner workings of the situation, but perhaps his sacking could have been dealt with more respect?
  8. As I've said before, they thought their man was Ross Lyon. He did a runner behind his manager's back and we hired the next best - Neeld. I don't blame the board for this. They've done a fantastic job, in general.
  9. You're joking aren't you? He walked or at best jogged around the ground the other night. Did you watch the whole game? Probably the worst performance from a player I can recall and I attended 186.
  10. Yeah, I'd agree. Just not good enough anymore. Still has superb skills, but can't get it anymore.
  11. Nathan Jones, Jack Watts and Sam Blease should be enough to illustrate that overloading's not the issue here.
  12. He's a beautiful kick, lightening fast and a decent decision maker. What we've been crying out for at the back. He also won a number of clearances, particularly in the final quarter. Seems to have a good engine. Keep playing him down back to work on his defensive game and then I'd be throwing him in the middle. He could be the perfect outside mid we've been looking for. Can't wait for Gysbert's return either. Add Strauss in there and Tapscott. We need to get games into these kids. It's not about blindly giving them games, but taking positives from their games and noting their areas that require improvement. Neeld has to engrain a discipline in these kids from very early on. It's not too late.
  13. I got tanked last night after that shithouse performance. We don't need to tank. We play with little intensity or care.
  14. [censored] Sylvia having a good old lark with Kennedy. [censored] off.
  15. I know, I'm searching, but for a bloke in his 6th or 7th game, good effort. Won quite a few clearances in this last quarter.
  16. Blease's performance is definitely a shining light.
  17. Disagree. Most AFL defenders would struggle to contain, considering the amount of ball that comes in there so easily.
  18. Morton and Rivers would be the only ones I'd keep out of that list. Maybe Petterd, but could be easily enticed to trade him too. Problem is, how many of those are still contracted for next season?
  19. Well, no. Even if we finish last we don't get pick 1...
