  1. Bump. Thanks to all who have begun to contribute. Still hoping someone with a bit of design skills can help with some logo's etc.
  2. Have added a round up for yesterdays action for those interested. http://www.fcmelbourne.com/blog/post/FCMel...-u18-nats-roun/
  3. We need someone, with the teeny tiniest forward instinct to bust a bum across half forward. Lynden Dunn, good endurance, OK overhead and dangerous around goals could fit the criteria. The midfield experiment is over. Send Lyndon home. Anyone with me?
  4. Frawley is more awkward than ineffective. Bate is a good set shot. Can you give a bit more info around your concerns?
  5. Make him captain.......Oh, that was last year. He needs a preseason. Club need to give consideration to putting him into surgery to get what ever is no doubt hampering him ASAP. List management.
  6. Wouldn't he be better kicking out on an oval? Or do you have a really big room in mind......
  7. Loved the leadership shown by Miller after his snap in the last was miscued and went out on the full. No chin up young fella, no keep backing yourself or that old 'keep working, it will come' chestnut. Just a death stare to make a kid feeling a bit down on himself even worse from a man who if he had been thrown into a barrel of [censored] tonight would have been pulled out sucking his own thumb.
  8. All the media is here. Teams: first with all the round 13 squads - AFL.com.au http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...61/default.aspx In: Warnock, Petterd Out: Kyle Cheney, Clint Bartram Bailey confident Watts is on track - Official AFL Website of the Melbourne Football Club http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...45/default.aspx MELBOURNE coach Dean Bailey has defended his club's handling of Jack Watts in the face of the intense media scrutiny that has followed the 18-year-old's debut. Coach insists Dees are astride success - Official AFL Website of the Melbourne Football Club http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...60/default.aspx SUCCESSIVE poor losses may have intensified the scrutiny of Melbourne's progress, but Dean Bailey is adamant his team has taken great strides forward this season and will continue to improve.
  9. That website is normally pretty accurate to no reason to doubt it at this stage. Think tonights selection will confirm it.
  10. I'm going early on this one.... Jack Viney.
  11. Scully has pace, Morabito is said to be lightning quick. IIRC, Blease has been picked up for his pace but it would be a risk to have all our eggs in the one basket. With our current group of plodders, some genuine pace must come into consideration. In saying that, as I think Whispering Jack once stated, to get KPP's you need to ante up, you just don't get them with speculative late picks. (Look at Newton). If we did go Scully at #1, it would have to be someone exceptional to take a mid at pick #2 . I've started tagging articles I come across on the 2009 draft at http://fcmelbourne.com/tags/2009%20draft/ for those interested. Anyone that can help by joining up and adding more bookmarks would be appreciated.
  12. Against the toothless tigers, under the roof of the Collosium you would certinaly hope so.
  13. AFL site has 1 clanger and 51% (interesting they have Sylvia at #1 with 6) . Where did you pull these from? I have my stats wrap here for those interested.
  14. All media on round 11 and jack watts for those interested.
  15. Have all the round media if interested. http://fcmelbourne.com/tags/round%2010%202009/
  16. His brother plays at Redlands. He is playing / working at a course down the coast whilst having a kick with his bro on the weekends. Good on him I say.
  17. Dees wait for Jack Watts to spark | Herald Sun JACK Watts is set to debut in coming weeks, but last year's No. 1 draft pick is yet to force the Demons' match committee's hand. Saved once Brock McLean keen to skipper Demons - Real Footy - Breaking News Melbourne midfielder Brock McLean says he has learned from his disciplinary problems to the point where he would love to captain the AFL club. Demon stalwarts open up on red and blue legends - RFNews - realfooty.com.au ARTHUR Wilkinson came to Melbourne with Frank "Checker" Hughes. If you don't know who Checker was, consult a history book. links here
  18. A player with a lot to learn and a history of achievement - RFNews MOST of Stefan Martin's Melbourne teammates would have had an early night in preparation for the Demons' big clash against the Western Bulldogs last week. But not Martin, who was still sitting in front of his computer at 2am. Nathan Jones goes to water | Herald Sun THE stresses of life seem to evaporate when Nathan Jones catches a wave. http://fcmelbourne.com/bookmarks/
  19. Bump. Monday match reports included.
  20. Round 6 Media. Enjoy.
