  1. I don't think so. He missed most of a season prior to draft being drafted. And has just had operations on his legs. So is just coming back, apparently his first hitout of this preseason. I reckon it would better judgement mid season. Thats should answer any questions around effort intensity by then, & if his hits some form, then that as well.
  2. Yes, I'm saying the same thing I think. That we need to get games into him (when he is ready to take them on this season) but not at suffering poor form and lost premiership points. Nonetheless we need for our longer-term strength, to get him up & running. There will be changes at end of year, & I think Weide is a long term player for us. hoping. But we need to get our spine matured and TMc is a part timer IMV as a key forward. TMc really is a small follower, who rolls into the forwardline. handy. TMc lacks class to be the 1st or 2nd tall.
  3. No. School is out on Hoges in my mind, Re going west at some time. And he will play more midfield time this year, so that opens up places for another tall, from time to time. That will open up opportunity for Weideman, who will need more games this year to continue his development. Pedo is more likely in his last year? at least in the senior side, in 2018. He may play in 2019 as a backup option? So we have to get games into Weide during 2018. Beyond 2018, who knows what Hoges will be doing. So, I posted that as a thought provoking statement. to look further forward, away from what the players do on the field of play.
  4. Hiding him away during his quest for fitness I can also understand. I wonder IF he's gone to high altitude? This year is almost the biggest in our past 50. The amount of unprofessionalism from within the club since mid 90's, has almost killed us off. Tail wagging dog, weak visions from boards, & just plain lack of courage all around the club. This really represents a rectification of all those years of virtual contempt for the supporters; & really, the courage that should surround a footy club in the AFL game.
  5. round 1 just an experimental lineup. B: Jetta, OMc, Hibberd HB: Lewis, Lever, Brayshaw C: Jones, Salem, Hunt HF: Petracca, T Mac, Melksham F: Hannan, Hogan, Garlett Foll: Gawn, Oliver, Tyson IC: ANB, Harmes, Vince, Fritsch Em: Bugg, Stretch, Frost, Pedersen, When Hogan goes on-ball, Petracca can go to the goal square, with TMac at CHF, and we should add pace inside 50. Maybe Salem forward, when Hogan's ruck-roving ?
  6. Maybe he is doing intense training away from the club, & prying eyes?
  7. So the advent of the GCSuns & of GWS has now been seen to have slowed the whole AFL competition down, RE the ladder evening out. And we as a Club have been very good, with a little help from high, since PJ & Roos came along. We have gotten some of the best off-field heads in at the club, and we are seeing the benefits of excellent people developing this club. We have outpaced many since 2013, developing some existing players, and clearing some off. And recruiting/developing players well since 2013. We have gone past some clubs who have stalled, or slipped off the pace. The top 4 isn't what it was 10 years ago when the Hawks, Cats & Swans were at their peak. We are only just in a position to show the results of this hard work, & the results are not posted yet. Over to the players now, to put UP or shut up.
  8. 100% \/ missing the Finals.
  9. I wonder 2018. Hunt, Oli, Vince Petracca Hogan, Hannan Garlett, Weideman, Tmac. 2019. Hunt, Oli, ????? Petracca Tmac, Hannan Garlett, Weideman, Johnson.
  10. Agreed, but his long term future is questionable. How many of one type can we have in one midfield list? Robustness needs to be proven, Wines is. Gaff has enormous run, but more speed would be good. So just looking ahead at the possibilities for the end of season, to further strengthen out future. Brayshaw is a beaut, but will he see a long career?
  11. Looking at your team here, and thoughts, Emerg Brayshaw. And we need more speed and outside run. I just wonder with young brother now in Perth, If Brayshaw struggles to be regularly 22, if he will start looking West? And Gaff comes into Restricted free agency I think? Others of interest in 2018, Wines? And we need a speed machine.
  12. Blighty is trying to give the boys a wake up call. That's right, we do. He's trying to aid us. Cornes wants us to be complacent and over ego'd, thinking ahead of the season proper. And wants us to fail.
  13. 2 Mtr Peter could be handy? And maybe cheaper, allowing the Suns to hold Lynch?
  14. "onda" - spanish
  15. FishC beautiful neck of the woods, gateway to the Prom. And Foster down the hill. Nearly always lush & green, & people always wearing smiles.
  16. And this club attitude to tough heads & tough footy, gives my heart new breath, new blood, to maintain hope.
  17. I think we have a winner. Also I think 2018 will be Lew's last senior season, onfield. So this role will allow him to back away from the Team ahead of the 2019 season, without leaving too much of a hole to fill. I'm sure we will have ready made replacements, to setup in his position, for 2019. I think the same, Re Vince. Both these boys have made a strong difference to the Dees, since they joined us. And served us well thus far.
  18. I imagine that he's inside, where the weight room is. I hope he does not look like a former No-4, come March 2018. Squats, squats, bench-press & more squats. And get Alistair Lynch over, to help him.
  19. The race to the bottom. The weaker supported clubs will die off, (killing the competition as we know it) in a free market style media rights. This is not "monopoly" the game, It is Aussie Rules footy. The AFL, has to be run as a Socialist Venture, to survive & be healthy. A suburban social base H/Q's with board room, & Training facility.
  20. Fishermen people. Is anyone getting amongst it, the Snapper, Gummy's, Whiting, or whatever?
  21. Seniors BL: Jetta, Frost, Hibberd HB: Lever, OMac, Brayshaw CL: Lewis, Jones, Hunt HF: Petracca, TMac, Melksham FL: Garlett, Hogan, Hannan Foll: Gawn, Oliver, Viney Int from: Tyson, DJ, Bugg, Vince, Salem, Nibbler, Maynard, JSmith
  22. Nah we want a pound of flesh, that we're paying for. I wonder if they'll play him back, doing the kickins. Maybe he could just be a kicker, in the Sanfl.
  23. Yeah, best player ever, out on the traps, on the night clubbing scene. Best, since lucas cook played butter boy. Willy, make us all pay. Jack already is, we are paying to free him, from the confines of our poor list.
  24. Colin Garland is what footy ought a be about. Have we had any better a clubman, then Garlo? Takes the train to the footy. just a great fella I reckon. A real community spirited person imo.
