  1. Which inturn aided our defensive setup at the same time.
  2. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Richmond/@-37.8238034,144.9870527,1050m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x6ad64293760bf0c9:0x1d04567609f4f5d0!8m2!3d-37.8238034!4d144.9892414 I hope they are looking at the Clay coloured tennis courts across the road from AAMI centre. In my mind, we really need the playing Oval outside AAMI park, right on Olympic Boulevard. Gotta be close-as, to the Trains Station & Trams at the doorstep.
  3. And if they don't? Blame the fitness manager I guess, or should that in fact be the doctors themselves ? can't balme them if we don't know who they are? Dam it, we need someone to blame en-balme for all this past 50yrs. Who are those bloody doctors anyway?
  4. . And Frosty for introducing this infections injury into the club, some seasons back. Toes all the go. Lets hope the Team gets some. Toe.
  5. He's off with the fairies daisy. He put his teeth in a jar bedside the bed, and in the morning they were still there, but Gus was gone ? It's hoped he returns to planet earth soon, so we can select him for a team.
  6. These things have a habit of getting better out of the understudies. I like it. Because the hopes of the players are high. Some will take more of the bit between their teeth ? Lets all sit back and enjoy.
  7. Misson: Hi DeeSp. Thanks for the question. The original injury normally takes 4 weeks to get right. in this case it hasn't responded as expected, but there is no crystal ball with injuries, just after the fact hindsight. Tom played practice match to see how he managed with the injury but unfortunately for Tom the injury flared up. We train our players to be fit to go, And sometimes injuries do not respond as expected. Which in this case is what has happened. Tom has done a lot of running to get his fitness levels up, and this injury has not responded as hoped. So now we have to back him right down, to allow time to heal this injury, He will maintain fitness inside on Alter G and swimming & will recommence outside running as expected in 2 weeks time. I hope this answers your question Re Toms injury management.
  8. It sounds like they may make the Final call on Oliver, on matchday, to me.
  9. So if the player doesn't mention they are sore in other areas of the foot, and that the limp is only the Plantar F alone?
  10. Thats right, 'PRB'. And Sloane is already a matured player ready to go. It also closes the gap, between the Crows & us D's. Not only GWS. If Sloane went to saints the would close in on us a little. similarly the Hawks. etc.
  11. Sloane at 28, could be a 4 YR option, with big pay years front & back ended, the end of this year may well see a senior player or 2 finish up. IF Lew finished in 2018, and continued at Casey as a player and assistant he would be off our salary cap.others like Bern might be on a very diminshed contract if he continued. Not doubt other contracts will be getting negotiated by 1/3 into season. We surely could do some juggling in time-frames on contracts, to work the Sloane big years into the balance of figures, to make it all work out. His run and mobility is just what we really need mostly.
  12. I suspect the damage was dome whilst playing with the plantar injury, while he was favoring that injury, loaded up other areas of the foot. Until he could no longer go on and had the snip. Coming back too soon following surgery compounded what was already done to the foot. Far too brave to point of S^%&%^_ I hope he gets out of this period, without any long-term damage. Its not Misson's fault, he does what he's told or asked to do. Its the player who wants to continue. Sometimes trying to stop them is almost impossible. Young Viney will have learned by now. The club right now.. the young list are witnessing and learning to be smarter. An important step for the club.
  13. Maybe this is where lever comes into it? To help formation, covering & reading play?
  14. the yarra ranger we need a mover with a slown hand, we want a rover with an easy touch. I want somebody who can runaround, not com'on & blowup in a reddish blush, I want somebody who understands, when it comes a winnin', wanna slown hand.
  15. That Yarra Ranger. he who loves a ball. Ol' Sloane hand. Turn them inside out. Let the 'aints pay big for Lynch. come-on Mahoney, weave some webs of intrigue, & pounce, when they least expect it.
  16. By some players revolt. Not all players, according to reports. So, that infamous tail is still wagging. We need to get that sorted out, by end of season.
  17. Yes. Toe Jammin'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1Zcq9UoMr8
  18. This is exactly why we have Pedo on the list, for his bulk & experience, and his willingness to do a job for the club, when required. He's almost our best servant. We all wanted him resigned last year because of his honesty and we wanted to repay that. We did, and now we need him already. Seems a contract very worthwhile already.
  19. I would say we won't see him in AFL for a month. after a couple of gamnes in the VFL for recapturing fitness. He's had an interrupted Pre season, as has TMc. So they will be both low on fitness. Again we should not have to rely on these 2, in the very early part of this season; we have a number of quality players to handle the job at hand. But we will have to rely on them in the back half of the season. That is when I want those two firing on all cylinders. fresh & hungry. Time for the young gunners to stand and be counted, to actually do something. As well as Jones, Lew, Vinnie, the Jet and Hibbo, can help steer the ship.
  20. Yep, but more important for the end of season, rather than early doors. Keep them till they are cherries, ripe for the pickin'. I want them firing on all 4's, ah, 2's, by the middle of the season when the going starts to get tougher. We'll be needing all our experienced players firing, from July on-wards. Now is the time to get responsibilities shared out. Our 23 Yr olds need to stand up & be counted, hands up for the job.
  21. Don't give a milly; they'll take a mile. I hope our defence is up to the task.
  22. not me, I not on facebook or any of those newby things. just aware of stuff around that is good fr health & healing. I've been surrounded by some loved ones with life impacting health issues, so am motivated to research read up on stuff. Its difficult to have solid information when clubs keep the information secret & send misinformation around. so we can only speculate. A bit like the father with 5 girls, locked out of the delivery room. for hours after.
  23. Simple, watch the power teams on Fox, and NOT on Prime-Time Free2Air. Do Not watch the D's on Fox in Prime-Time, but watch on Free2Air Prime Time to help kick-start our Free2Air ratings. Every little bit helps this club climb back up. If people don't do the little things, they are simply relying on others, Our club, the TV networks, the AFL, etc and other clubs, to help us. We have to do all things we supporters can, to help rebuild this club. It can't be done just on the luck of the draw and on recruits from drafting or trading. The club is on the improve with the list, So NOW is the time for the supporters to Lend a BIG Hand,,, and to help in ALL the little ways possible. The way we view our footy, is crucial to getting Free2Air Prime-Time time slots.
