  1. So is this confirmation he's leaving us then? The last thing we'll see, is his hind Qtrs, I suspect. And the last thing we hear, the door close behind?
  2. I think I'd rather watch "Hard" Quiz ! or that other bloody ABC left wing Zar-Chasm of Irony... Nutters of Hell, or whatever that is.
  3. Oh, he's still contracted . I see. What do you reckon about Preuss. His numbers are excellent for a Kid. Would they trade a kid?
  4. I don't think so Diamond. His mark numbers are too low. From the stats I saw the other day. Lots of hitouts & tackle numbers are great, but offensively, marking numbers are poor.
  5. At 29Yrs old, he won't be too expensive, or he'll be too much? What would you guess, Redleg?
  6. How many have changed their minds, & not their votes, on that Demonland poll?
  7. Could we, could we? do a 'Cam Pederson', on Jake?
  8. Melksham & ANB are not what I mean by smallforward-mids. I mean the Cyril's, the Garlett types. The LeCras; more your specialist old fashioned rover/forward pocket. Dare I say Bartlett? Those players who are quick, can turn on a sixpence, & kick off a step with accuracy. But must be able to run thru the midfield rotations. I think Melksham is more half-forward wing type. Can run, but I think he'd be lost starting deep forward. ANB is another midfielder type who can be a defensive half-forwward. But I don't think he's quick. We need to pick a small with speed who would be able to use that & his evasiveness to break open a play up forward. And then be able to go into the centre square setup and win footy.
  9. I wouldn't trade any of our young guns for anything. keep them all together. They are the nucleus of our new club. Brothers in arms. The older less committed brigade, need be shown the back door. asap.
  10. That's right, that's how we need to approach him now. He's had way more opportunities to buy in at this club with real Zest. The time is right now, to sever ties. Make it a clean cut, and move on with the list spot, for some kid who really desperately wants a shot. Maybe even a Fritsch? Who knows. The thing is we have stop stop being jerked around & move forward.
  11. Oliver would be worth a 1st & 2nd Rnd pick now. Petracca so far with one knee already Op'd on, would be currently worth what we gave up for him. Hogan is worth more than what we gave up for him, as he has already demonstrated his fitness from the back, & has kicked bags of goals, and is still very young. His pedigree is a proven commodity, over a few seasons now. Lever might get to that, but he is a floating tall defender. He is not worth 2 x 1st Rnd picks, at this point with his career.
  12. We are approaching a time within this club now, where we could be able to really make a difference in this clubs History, & its Cultural statement. We have to grab this time Now, like a young Kelvin Templeton mark. With strength & power. Grab it & run with it, hard & fast, as well as we can to make big strides. We cannot afford the extra drag of those who are not pushing the club along with all their might. sorry jw,
  13. That is exactly it. 9 yrs of ho hum Jack. We are like some sort of Holiday Resort, for nice type players.
  14. Big IF's Steve. If only watts would be Vanderhaar ! It's time to put a full stop in our list, of players recruited from 2012 or prior to; who still don't cut the mustard. We need a page break from those attitudes & times, in our club. I get the feeling the club is trying to remove players of less commitment, from our tribe. So imo we don't want to bring in more like that, unless they are like a Stevie J scenario, whereby we could work with a proven consistent player. I don;'t trust motlop. And the Cats are proven to be good developers of players with issues. Motlop is a 'pass' for me. As is Tippet. If Matera was wanting out of the Suns, as long as he doesn't have a lot of baggage, I hope we talk to him before he makes a commitment. We do need some quick mid/small forwards IMO. More than just Jeffy & Dion. If they can win they're own footy & defend strongly, I think we could run 3 in a team
  15. Toumpas, your kidding right. The most popular player ever at this club. That was a tough decision then, wasn't it. And one swallow does not make a Summer. Toumpas was not playing regualr seniors so they could have spent more time developing him before they took action. JWatts has 9 Years.. 9 Yrs fleecing this club, and you speak of taking time to sort the list? Just get rid of him, so we can all hold our heads high. I would take a packet of chicken Twisties, to end this saga. And I don't like chicken.
  16. Usually the club tells them, they don't think they will be picked to play in the 1sts for the whole season, if they stay on. So likely to play the whole season at the VFL level. With possibly some games in the development league. We could employ him as a mascot.
  17. Yes unfortunately, because we are too patient & understanding when it comes to AFL football. Mfc are 'the softest touch' in Aussie rules footy. And players know it, & many have come to us for the 'super'. benefits. Not for the wins.
  18. If he was to say NO to being traded, I can imagine what past admin's have done in that scenario. They would promptly go & sit down to pisss. Now, this Admin has the opportunity, to stand up & take it's strongest action.
  19. If this is true, then we would need to change the board and administrators again, because that would mean they are as soft as JW.
  20. 9 yrs, "is time to time"? Its about time he pushed a weight in the gym then, he might be ready by now.
  21. Lets assume that not doing everything in preparation to be the best you can be for the club & team. Jack doesn't seem to like or tolerate pain much. So does he seek special rubdowns on sore spots or does he avoid that? Does he do the excruciatingly hot & freezingly cold treatments on soft tissue injuries, or does he avoid those. He was slow rehabbing from his hammy strain? Will he stretch to the limit when tight & sore? Is he prepared to be conservative & responsible when out partying & drinking ??? when out of hours? How is his attitude in the Gym, pushing weights and building on his frame? I reckon my hunch is, he is poor in these areas of commitment, just as he is reluctant to commit to big crunches out in space around the ground. He lacks muscle definition, and he has been at the Mfc for about 9 Yrs. These are all pointers to how JW treats his time at this club.
  22. I think Hogan would be worth two early 1st Rnd picks, as he has shown just the other year, how dominant he can be, as he grows his body & confidence. He has the ability to dominate defenders like Rance & Lever or any you want to throw up as opponents. He has just had the season of hellish proportions, & next year if he stays will be his best in a Melbourne side cherry ripe to go into finals action. I rate Hogan as extremely valuable & will be the equivalence of Danger, Hodge, or any of the AFL's superstars in recent time. Its still early days on Lever & he's a defender. Now if he turns into a swingman, then that's different, if he can become Harry Taylor type. early days.
  23. I didn't take it that way when I heard it. I think danger would not say anything lesser about anything to do with what his love is. On the other hand he just said "have you been to Adelaide, it's not very nice over there" Now that wasn't being fully honest there either. He was trying to make them hurt & angry for his own benefit. free kicks etc.
  24. When your team need many things, including gogetability, sometimes that draft pick received is good enough to turn into something we do want.
