  1. "fake news, no such thing"! >>>>>>>>>>
  2. collingwood? just reverse their colours. Lets just not do the clash jumper thing.
  3. Take the extra week & play Pedo with Hoges. I hope they do not play him TMc, just for Rnd1 gate attendance/memberships. Its the business end, that we want to be full strength, & bitter.
  4. turf toe? we need TMc right for sharing ruck duties. I would rather sacrifice the first couple of games if need be, to get them tight & come home strong & fit. We have Pedo, we have Frosty. We can cover for Viney for a couple of games, so they are not carrying serious niggles right thru the season. Better have them just right for mid season,,, that entering this season NQR.
  5. If we have to have a clash jumper it should be something alike this one. PS: the 'iSelect' banner is clashing with GWS jumper.
  6. Lets find the positives in this. Its now time to build bridge and to get across it. Across the rail yards to the Tennis Centre, & along to the Richmond Station. This is where some said a few years back, that they wanted to have a Melbourne Social Club above the Station on the Concourse/Promenade built over the Richmond Rail Yards. A Concourse/Promenade giving Direct access to the Richmond station, the MCG at entry level above road level, and to and fro games, or even training if it also crossed Olympic Boulevard overlooking Gosch's.
  7. More like bigger vehicles mazer. Big 4x4's, or larger again, trucks etc. To get people, via running down or via explsives, on the way into or exiting from a game.
  8. I think this is a very good Idea, in the recent world climate. Lets hope the AFL/MCG provide driven Golf Carts awaiting at the stations, for disabled patrons. Its the least they could do. Maintining 'touch', with the loyal fans who can no longer get themselves about, and have to rely on being driven to the stadium.
  9. Yep. I hope they all do, write us off. This Group of young men, are not front runners like the old payers of the past decade. They will respond the only way you can, when put down. Come out fighting. And pumping the opposition in front of them.
  10. Where is Aunty when we need him, to sort out Gaz of god ? just a little message for down the Girlong Rd
  11. He must have been away for a few days, puttin in the hard yards. Back up to full fitness soon, me thinks.
  12. frawley howe dunn watts martin clarke etc etc. All have left the Mfc, after their golden handshakes & long service holidays. We seem to get the timing wrong. The holidays seem to be taken, prior to retiring from the club.
  13. Perception. That's exactly what I mean. It doesn't mean 22H&A games in 2018. You must be reading far too much, into the words you perceive. We have to get games into him, to allow him to elevate his level of play, within a good side. But if he is going to obviously 'stink it up', he won't be picked to play. There's no suggestion of donations of games, for the sake of 'game numbers'. He has to earn a spot, but I say he should be looked at favorably, when he puts his good form hand up, to play seniors. I'm not of the opinion that we're ready to take the big one. But we're getting better, stronger, closer. I don't expect Jones, Lewis or Vince, to be playing in our next Grand Final appearance. So with that in mind we have to start to aid maturing our Next-Gen Players.
  14. Of course he does. Did you not read the post properly. 2018 is our year to make the finals. No one gets games, without deserving them.
  15. I don't think so. He missed most of a season prior to draft being drafted. And has just had operations on his legs. So is just coming back, apparently his first hitout of this preseason. I reckon it would better judgement mid season. Thats should answer any questions around effort intensity by then, & if his hits some form, then that as well.
  16. Yes, I'm saying the same thing I think. That we need to get games into him (when he is ready to take them on this season) but not at suffering poor form and lost premiership points. Nonetheless we need for our longer-term strength, to get him up & running. There will be changes at end of year, & I think Weide is a long term player for us. hoping. But we need to get our spine matured and TMc is a part timer IMV as a key forward. TMc really is a small follower, who rolls into the forwardline. handy. TMc lacks class to be the 1st or 2nd tall.
  17. No. School is out on Hoges in my mind, Re going west at some time. And he will play more midfield time this year, so that opens up places for another tall, from time to time. That will open up opportunity for Weideman, who will need more games this year to continue his development. Pedo is more likely in his last year? at least in the senior side, in 2018. He may play in 2019 as a backup option? So we have to get games into Weide during 2018. Beyond 2018, who knows what Hoges will be doing. So, I posted that as a thought provoking statement. to look further forward, away from what the players do on the field of play.
  18. Hiding him away during his quest for fitness I can also understand. I wonder IF he's gone to high altitude? This year is almost the biggest in our past 50. The amount of unprofessionalism from within the club since mid 90's, has almost killed us off. Tail wagging dog, weak visions from boards, & just plain lack of courage all around the club. This really represents a rectification of all those years of virtual contempt for the supporters; & really, the courage that should surround a footy club in the AFL game.
  19. round 1 just an experimental lineup. B: Jetta, OMc, Hibberd HB: Lewis, Lever, Brayshaw C: Jones, Salem, Hunt HF: Petracca, T Mac, Melksham F: Hannan, Hogan, Garlett Foll: Gawn, Oliver, Tyson IC: ANB, Harmes, Vince, Fritsch Em: Bugg, Stretch, Frost, Pedersen, When Hogan goes on-ball, Petracca can go to the goal square, with TMac at CHF, and we should add pace inside 50. Maybe Salem forward, when Hogan's ruck-roving ?
  20. Maybe he is doing intense training away from the club, & prying eyes?
  21. So the advent of the GCSuns & of GWS has now been seen to have slowed the whole AFL competition down, RE the ladder evening out. And we as a Club have been very good, with a little help from high, since PJ & Roos came along. We have gotten some of the best off-field heads in at the club, and we are seeing the benefits of excellent people developing this club. We have outpaced many since 2013, developing some existing players, and clearing some off. And recruiting/developing players well since 2013. We have gone past some clubs who have stalled, or slipped off the pace. The top 4 isn't what it was 10 years ago when the Hawks, Cats & Swans were at their peak. We are only just in a position to show the results of this hard work, & the results are not posted yet. Over to the players now, to put UP or shut up.
  22. I wonder 2018. Hunt, Oli, Vince Petracca Hogan, Hannan Garlett, Weideman, Tmac. 2019. Hunt, Oli, ????? Petracca Tmac, Hannan Garlett, Weideman, Johnson.
  23. Agreed, but his long term future is questionable. How many of one type can we have in one midfield list? Robustness needs to be proven, Wines is. Gaff has enormous run, but more speed would be good. So just looking ahead at the possibilities for the end of season, to further strengthen out future. Brayshaw is a beaut, but will he see a long career?
