Was watching some footage of Sam Reid from the Swans play and thought "my God he is so skinny'. But he plays really well and so I immediately thought of Lucas Cook. If Reid can get games and play well why can't Cook. Then I checked their Bio's: Reid is 195cm at 91kgs Cook is 196cm and 81kgs!!!!!!! That can't be right. Reid is a rake. He cannot weight 10kgs more than Cook can he?? Not sure when the player bio's are uploaded or updated but surely there cannot be 10kg difference. If its right I can see Cook never playing for the Dees until he puts on at least 10-14kgs!!! Anyone seen Cook live??

Its pretty simple and the club should be giving guidance to these young Captains. Maybe it was just an unfortunate choice of words but something like the following would be better: "We have seen what level we need to get to and we aren't there yet, We know what we need to do and we are working hard towards getting there. It and it has been a hard time for our supporters and players but I think they can start to see we are performing better for longer in games. We are very optimistic that next year will see substantially improved performances by our team.' Talking about a reality check like it has just dawned on them is infuriating.

I know that some of the stories posted on the club website are pretty soft but FFS Trengove describing the game against Adelaide as a "reality check' defies belief. What the hell does he think has been happening all year?? A reality check?? That implies they thought the team was travelling well and got knocked down a peg or two. A 69 point thrashing?? What, none of the other thrashings we have copped this year made any impact on you Jack?? Maybe he thought that coming off a 25 pt 'belting' of GWS had us staring at a finals spot. It sadly reminds me of the pathetically soft rhetoric from the Bailey days about 'getting games into players' and 'we aren't worried about results' as if by some process of osmosis simply playing 70 games will magically turn them into elite footballers (Cale Morton says hi) I want to see some comments along the line of the reality bus rather than reality check. Does this club have a clue about where it sits?? Because its supporters do and it isn't good.

I am not saying it isn't. I am saying it shouldn't be. Doesn't matter what the 'reward' for losing is if you deliberately lose. The AFL need to get consistent on this (and about 400 other topics while they're at it)

So WHY was Neeld going nuts at the round 1 press conference?? Was he surprised at how poor we were?? But wasn't he supposed to be in shock when he got there that the players were not AFL fit nor did they have a defensive game plan etc?? It doesn't gel for me. He was genuinely shocked at what he saw. This isn't someone who knew what he was in for when he took the job. And it isn't someone who has taken training all summer and KNEW his players were underdone and couldn't string a competent game together. It smacks of someone who didn't know what he was doing and is now looking to shift blame and say 'the previous regime left us in tatters'. I think this season has been a stuff up from October last year. Sure he's got a big job to do but me thinks he made his job a whole lot more difficult because of his approach and inexperience. This summer will be our most important in 50 years.

If you want to play Spenc then its implicit you think he will be better than Martin, If thats not what you mean then go back to school champ and learn how to write what you mean. Are you now telling us that even if you play Spenc for games in front of Martin he will not be better?? Staggering. And as for your other brilliant comment that Neeld has given him few opportunities I guess that explains why he has racked up all those games for Casey tis year. He played a good game today. So what? He played on Thompson most of the day and he had a good game too. Sylvia has tried in the second half of the year but after 8 years I'm done with him. Good trade value, he's gone.

Bulldust, Adelaide have changed their game entirely, so have Essendon in 2011 and Wet COke in 2010. I simply do not buy this crap that it takes years to formulate a new game plan. We are forever chasing our tails. Are trying to emulate Geelong's corridor game plan or Collingwoods boundary game plan????? Both are outdated now but we'll get it right in 5 yrs time. hahahaha what crap.

Amazing how a team can learn a new game plan in one season. Essendon did it in 2011, Adelaide did it in 2012, Wet Coke did it in 2010 but us - we are taking years and years to learn one. any one. We havent got a flipping clue and are a disgrace to the game.
