Had to laugh, read the Collingwood report and they didn't even give the result or scores!!

They have been training all summer on running patterns. Shouldn't be a problem

Wow, OD you are up and about. Must have mistaken the angry pills for the regular half an aspirin Dawes plays for mine. His tackling pressure, size and presence make him walk in. Roos like solid bodies. JKH and Timmy T for Bernie and Dawes I suspect.

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
jnrmac replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I understand the gentleman concerned has spent time in the big house. Very ordinary fellow. I know someone who met him there and ended up owing him money. He passed away and the wife was paid a visit by Mick Gatto. Charming. I can imagine Charter having a change of heart about his evidence. EFC must be [censored]-a-hoop getting off on this kind of skullduggery.... -

Don't want to be a negative Nancy but we did let the Suns kick 89 points. That is way too much for a team we dominated. Yeah they have talent and yeah it was the first game and yeah it was exciting kicking all those goals after a goal drought for the last 5 yrs but I would like to see us tighten up a lot on the defensive side if we are going to get a lot better..... Just sayin....
-
I've said it a lot before but a big problem with our kicking is the fact we did not run hard enough. If you are trying to pinpoint a player under pressure you are going to stink it up often. Yes we have a few who do it while under no pressure but I think in a lot of cases the pressure is self or team inflicted because we do n't run, spread and create options for each other. When everyone is running you don't need so much to hit targets, you only need to kick the ball into the right space. Its a subtle difference but kicking to space is a lot easier. And a player can run onto the ball making the kicker look like a dead eye dick. YEsterday we ran hard all day. It was back to the Bailey days where we ran and created options left right and centre. Plus we had some defence as well. The turnover were noticeably lower and without seeing the stats I bet the kicking efficiency was a lot higher

FInally drafting some 'footballers' about time.... And I think he came from Tathra originally...
-
I think he was always going to be a good player in a good team. We know he's not physical a la Jonathan Brown but yesterday with the beginnings of a good team around him his skills and smarts really stood out. He played a really good game. Let's hope he sees it as a new beginning and starts to dominate a few games.

9 tackles as well. Good effort
