  1. We know he's on the way out...free agent....
  2. It wasn't the first line I was calling ignorant but the second. And if you agree with that then I'll happily include you in the ignorant category as well
  3. To a point. Realistically it was only Stretch that was a chance with Petracca gone, Brayshaw copping a few head knocks, ANB kneecap issues and Ocar McD not really ready.... Still it takes a bit of pressure of the young guys which can only be good....
  4. That would be the most ignorant comment ever posted on this site.
  5. The clubs are always 'pre-spending' the next TV rights deal. If one goes pear shaped and Gill only gets a small increase or less than the previous deal then they are cooked. They are mortgaging the future on an ever increasing revenue pie, Very dangerous indeed. And just on GC and GWS. The whole deal was predicated on the fact that around 60% of all advertising revenue comes from NSW and Southern QLD. So unless you have a 'product' to sell to those markets you are missing out on revenue and the TV rights deal will be limited. So in the AFLs mind they have to be there. Not saying it's right but that is the reasoning.
  6. I am still laughing at this....
  7. Amazing that the club didn't listen to a large swathe of 'knowledgable' D'Landers that wanted him gone after 1 and 2 seasons......
  8. Who is Bruce Francis? He has too much time on his hands. Very self serving letter. Nowhere does it state the players are responsible for what goes into their bodies.
  9. good work,. It shows we are giving guys a run in the middle to see whether they are up to it or realistic options come rd 1. I like it. Not that fussed we were creamed in the second half so long as the coaches worked out what they needed to know....
  10. Didn't seem to bother his dad. He just kept getting the footy....
  11. Gee no leaking out of FReo since he was issued an Show Cause in September...... Wonder if Essendon will blame the AFL for this too....
  12. Michael Warner, Seriously? The guy that tweeted Ess was 3/400 against ASADAs all out 300 in the EFC Hird court case?? You do realise he is a card carrying EFC acolyte with less than zero credibility. Please don't give it any oxygen. it doesn't deserve it.
  13. Dean Kent has the tools to be a breakout but not sure he has the head in the right space...
  14. Did you tell her you barrack for Melbourne?
  15. Good choice Josh. At least you can look at yourself in the mirror every day...
  16. I have heard this line run from an Ess fanatic. The AFL are the employer so they should carry the can..... Its cr*p. The club is the employer. The AFL are co-signatories to the contract but the management of the club run everything and are in the firing line.
  17. Yep I'm sure he detailed it all in his medical records. I'll have it for you in a jif. Would you like his signature on it? There are none so blind as those that will not see....
  18. 3/400 EFC ASADA all out 300. M warner. Say no more Muppet
  19. He gamed the system. No one should be able to do what he did. If you retire you should be made to stand out of footy - whatever the reason. We got shafted by Darren Jarman because he refused to come to Mlebourne despite us drafting him. He stood out of footy for a year. The Dess scrambled to do a deal on Mitch so as to get something from eth debacle but there is no doubt Mitch gamed the system to get to the club of his choice. You are also conveniently ignoring his rhetoric through this - I love the club,, love the fans, I'm heartbroken blah blah blah...then he farks us. All his words are hollow and no wonder ppl here are peeved by it.
  20. I assume that will happen. They would have to banned from the game. In effect this will be 'new' evidence/proof of wrongdoing. The previous sanctions were for poor governance Once it is 'prooved' the players were administered illegal substances there must be a clear out and bans.
  21. Welcome to the boards. I don't think its that alone. It's more that "it's better for my health to go to a nother club, a winning club" That doesn't sit well with most people I believe. He has gamed the system and it's wrong. The fact he was also our most talented player also hurts. The fact that we have seen our most talented players over the years fall victim to some freakish things. (Jurrah, Jakovich, Tingay, Schwartz etc etc) also compunds the angst. Clark's reasoning never sat well with a lot of people here and so why they have some empathy for mental illness the line that was pedalled in the opening sentence sticks in the craw.
  22. For some players its virtually impossible for them to put on KGs when they are doing so much aerobic work....
