The last two weeks has seen Nathan Jones will us over the line. Epic performances. Viney just refused to be beaten in every single contest. Ran all day. Max was simply unstoppable. Rioli is a dog. And gone for that hit on Oliver. Mitchell is gone as well. Watts is a believer in himself now. Brilliant go to man. I loved the way our guys refused to be bullied. In fact they did the bullying. Oh, and the umps were appalling again. Today was the day the Melbourne Football Club came of age and signalled to the rest of the football world that we will no longer be pushovers.

We will win the comtested ball. The Hawks don't rate that stat and are no good at it. They will beat us on the outside. The key will be whether we can keep possession of the ball and not turn it over. The Hawks will smash us if we turn it over. HIt targets and we can beat them

Noticeable for mine that we stay outside the contest more and we have 1 or 2 goalkeepers to stop the quick over the top goals.

Last time we played Hawthorn Garlett had his infamous 'ducking' incident. I didn't think it was as bad as it was made out but expect the Hawks to remind him of it over and again.
