Well prior to the game he had not been beaten in a one on one this year nor had a goal kicked on him. He is in the reigning AA team. Its a fair scalp for a three gamer.

Better that the new recruits learn from the word go that the big time is not an easy ride and that if they want to make it they have to put in. I assume that was what the session was about adn if so I am stoked. No automatic selections, you're all players - doesn't matter what number you were drafted, the hard work starts now. That is a big change from a few years ago.

We can't afford to throw away picks on players on a whim. Every year these threads are loaded with 'Why didn't we take xyz, he would walk into our best 22' .... 'Doesn't matter cos they wont play anyway' is a flippant thing to say in our position. I want 38 guys that are going to bleed for us, push like hell to get selected, keep pressure on everyone above them and train like their life depended on it. I am wondering if Roos has been hiding him in the hope of us getting him.

Am I missing something here? We are thinking of recruiting Paul Roos' son? Haven't seen anything written about him before this thread. Why are we considering him? Because he is the son of Paul Roos? Or can he play footy? I am quite disturbed by this. We need the best available footballer. If that's him great. But he is not a Jack Viney that has been in people's calculations for a number of years. (And yes I know TR is not a father/son pick).
