After 11 years of not making finals we are in transition phase and stil trying to work on our game plan? When is your plan for making finals, 2028? And BTW it would be good to have players with legs and feet. Do you think before posting?

Oscar came equal 18th in the B&F with Pederson and played 5 more games. The talk on here about Oscar improving out of sight and being our key defender is hilarious. He has played OK this year and hasn't disgraced himself at all but he is still a deer in the headlights, has little or no physical presence or awareness, cannot compete one on one, is slow with the turning circle of the titanic and rarely impacts a contest. His disposal is pretty good and that is about his best trait. Yes he is developing and that is great. As a melbourne supporter I want him to succeed but it will be a long slow process at this rate.

You misunderstand what STMJ said. He said there is a reason some players draw ire from supporters. It doesn't come from thin air. Are you seriously trying to compare Lever with Oscar because they are the same age? I have heard everything. And BTW , Watts was well over 22, so was Jamie Bennell when he was a whipping boy as you call it.

This is reallythe crux of it. You see it regularly - players playing 5-10m off their man or letting loose players wander around. This can happen when you play a zone and mind space rather than pick up players. It's no-one's responsiobility. This is where trust and being well drilled comes into it. Hawthorn and Geelong are good at it. It's taking us way longer than it should and our leaders need to be more active in policing it on field. The chip kick to the fwd pocket is my personal bugbear. Drives me crazy they allow that.

How fast is Balic?

Oliver's weight loss and training regime has leadership qualities in that he has led by example. He doesn't take a backward step in the field which I love and he never gives in. So far so good. He has come so far in such a short time that I think he could easily step up. The other players must be in awe of his talent and hard work. He can't really string two words together at this point but hopefully he's not to far off!

Oliver. And Viney has just turned 24. Lever is also 22.

Please you're kidding yourself.... we haven't 'blown away' a club for a decade..... I think we have only won all 4 quarters in a match about 3 times in 8 or 9 years.
