POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
A bit loose with the truth there tiers. He was shopped around last year along with TMac. Thats how much he was appreciated. He has always had great endurance but has been very hot and cold as a player. This year he absolutely turned it on and was one of our best players. Won't surprise me to see him finish highly in the Bluey.

Probably the Warwick Capper rule. He used to molest players on the way up and then take great grabs TBH I think we would all like that to stay in our game. It is absolutely unique

Simon Goodwin on RSN (19/11/21)
I kinda get what you're saying but the inspiration is about the the mantra they have been repeating all year. Just be us, do it our way, don't listen to outsiders, be the best person and best teammate you can be. It's not about the lyrics per se, its the message attached to the song. There would have been a number of themes discussed during the year at various stages and at the end of the day it doesn't matter what the catalyst is, its the outcome of getting players to be their best, The days of Rocky music or eye of the tiger are gone,

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
There were few dodgy frees in the middle to Libba including in the first 30 seconds. Viney gave two away that were not frees. Fritta was dragged to the ground in the goal square by EWood when he didn't have the ball, Plenty to get annoyed about And the JJ one on the goal line was not a free because he marked it. Had he not marked it it would have been a free, Happens all the time.

Who needs a big preseason at the MFC?
This cannot be under-estimated, They have now seen what is required from a commitment level to achieve success, It's tangible as opposed to some far-off goal that seemed perpetually out of reach. It's a wonderfully exciting place to be

Burgo explained it on his podcast with Peter Brukner, Definitely worth a listen. We have lost a gun there...

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Been watching it again today and cant believe what a faux tough guy and pest Libba is Every opportunity to slam a guy in the back while waiting for a ball up etc is so pathetic.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I'm furious still about the soft frees Liberatore and McRae got in the middle. Viney gave two away that were nowhere near frees.

2021 Player Reviews: #41 Jay Lockhart
Was sorry to see Jay go. Thought he had some good potential. Was playing well before a knee injury from memory saw him omitted. He never got back ...

2021 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett
Cyril kicked 40 goals twice in his career, That's it, in 11 seasons. Kozzie has done it once. Its a great achievement and he has the potential to be better than Cyril. Particularly if we can pinch a couple more flags. People forget that Kozzie was an elite junior talent but has had to learn how to play a defensive team orientated game. That he has done it in his second year is a massive credit to him and the club. Many talents like that often pfaff around for a few years getting by on outrageous talent but Kozzie has put in an amazing amount of hard work to get to this level. He lost his mother and spent some 6-7 weeks back in South Australia over the summer where plenty here worried about him coming back looking like Austin Wonaemirri after a few sessions on the turtles. But Kozzie was working hard every day, training his bum off with Norwood. That he came back in outstanding form is an amazing effort and shows a lot of mental strength. We have a beauty here. he may not have touched the ball a lot in the GF but if you look at his pressure and work rate it was off the charts.

Schadenfreude at last
Frawley is welcome to his bonds with hawthorn. Premiership players are a dime a dozen over there. And Frawley can stay persona non grata at the Dees as far as I am concerned. At Melbourne, our players have created history that can never be erased. They will be remembered forever. Frawley? Pfft

2021 Player Reviews: #50 Ben Brown
I heard one of the coaching staff say before the season started that they thought BB would be a bust as his knee was cooked. Glad he was wrong. BB is a terrific player that fits well with out style of play. Always dangerous. Smart. Very difficult to match up on. Keath gave away two frees for arm chopping against him in the GF His kicking is terrific and the 666 rule suits him perfectly for fast breaks from the middle. Hopefully Weideman learns fast from this bloke.

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
If I was to predict I would say Sparrow has greater upside than Jordon. Not a knock but Jordon seems more workhorse while Sparrow has weapons.

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
Huge fan of sparrow Tough, smart, kicks like a mule and runs all day. Had a great GF.. Was in everything.

2021 Player Reviews #29 Jayden Hunt
I forecast at the start of the year Hunt would be in the top 3 most improved players Boy we had a lot of improvers but Hunt was right up there, Cops a lot of knocks for trying to take the game on but he can play a lot of roles and has a big heart. Very tough as well Stiff to have missed out after playing 20 games but a hard call with Bowey playing so well and Hibberd finding form

2021 Player Reviews #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
Nibbler has always been a very ernest player, He was plagued in his earlier years by fumbles and turnovers. He appears to have ironed out those deficiencies (largely) - perhaps he has become more comfortable with his role and spot in the side. Nonetheless he has turned into a key role player for us that covers more territory than anyone other than Langdon. He is super important for us in terms of the pressure he brings to bear and the consistent effort he brings across four quarters. His kicking for goal has gone to another level this year and his wet weather banana against Richmond was absolutely outstanding, He should be very proud of the footballer he has become.
